Thank you for your review of the 65" AU8000 Crystal UHD TV and sharing your experience with slow remote response time.
To optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
Please know that you can choose what your TV does when you turn it on by going to Settings > General > Smart Features
1) When you set Autorun Smart Hub to on, the TV displays the Home Screen automatically when you turn the TV on.
2) If Autorun Last App is set to on, the last used app is automatically run when you turn on the TV. Please know that the Last App Used function may not work with all apps.

Only downer on this product is the sound quality. A sound bar is a must if the tv is in the living room

Not as expected

I own two other Samsung TV's and they are wonderful, with beautiful pictures. This one is disappointing, especially up close. Sound is decent but for the first time I am considering purchasing a soundbar. Totally kicking myself for not returning during the allowed period of time. Take my advice, if considering this one, spend a little extra and get the higher model.

Your details regarding the image and sound quality of your AU8000 TV are important to us and will be shared with our internal teams. You may want to try adjusting the settings to improve your picture and sound.
Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Most suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings and configure the image settings to your taste with additional functions.
Additionally, there are several sound settings you can adjust to suit your personal sound preferences. Change the Sound Mode by going to Settings > Sound > Sound Mode.
You can also customize the sound with Expert Settings by going to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings

Samsung quality and 65” of LED technology 4K

Not sure I would consider it one. I think maybe I need to learn how to change the settings. think I will call the Geek Squad and see if they can help me. To be fair. One thing I don't like is the sound. It is either too loud, or not loud enough. Not sure why it is like this.

The Auto Volume function automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume = On
You may also want to perform a Sound Test under Support > Self Diagnosis > Start Sound Test
Additionally, there are several sound settings you can adjust to suit your personal sound preferences.
Change the Sound Mode by going to: Settings > Sound > Sound Mode
