Then just after two years of owning - the entire right half of the screen is dark...of course just after the end of the warranty. So unfortunate that this was just a costly purchase to need replacement after two years.

It worked one night before I went to work as a flight attendant. 6 day trip. Got home, tv went out. Literally at the two week point. Technically a week since I’d opened it. Broken and can’t return items after two weeks. Money down the drain. I thought Samsung was a great brand.

I'm sorry that your AU8000 TV is no longer working. Please know that this Samsung TV with a 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty, including authorized repair for manufacturer defect, if purchased brand-new directly from an authorized seller.
