Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image.

Dirty screen effect is very noticeable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went with the Samsung 8000 series after doing a lot of research. I will go into some of the pros of this model. Aesthetically, it is very thin and a delight to look at. It is relatively light for a 65 incher. Set up was quick and intuitive. And finally, picture quality is good for the price. Now for downsides. First and certainly the worst complaint I have, my specific unit has a very bad dirty screen effect when the picture is dark. It forms a very large ring the size of the height of the screen. This is very noticeable, and once seen, cannot be unseen. I have tinkered for about 2 hours trying to find picture settings that would reduce this effect, but sadly it is still very noticeable. Now onto lesser grievances. The power cord is ridiculously short. If you are planning to wall mount this, the cord will only be long enough if you have an outlet directly below the tv and 1-2 feet above the ground. The decision to make this cord short doesn't even make any sense...it is a slight inconvenience if the cord is too long...ez fix. But this cord is so short, my power surge is literally hanging from my wall mounted AU 8000 TV until I can find a better solution. Lastly Menu navigation was laggy and unimpressive. Overall, If my unit did not suffer from such horrendous dirty screen, this TV would have been easily 4 stars. I expected better QA from Samsung. Not even sure how it is acceptable to send out something like this. I'm still undecided if I am willing to go through the hassle of setting up a return and getting a new unit at the cost of 2 half days off to await pick up of old unit and delivery of new unit.
