    Purchased this TV during Black Friday Sale on Nov. 18, 2018. The TV developed issues within a couple days. It would not turn on intermittently. I would have to disconnected from it power and plug back in to get it to turn on. Next it started to randomly lock up and could not be turned off unless it was disconnected from power. Connected online with Samsung Tech Support which had me do the soft and hard reset, check for software updates. This didn't work. I returned the TV for an exchange about 2 weeks after the initial purchase. The exchange TV worked normal for a few weeks and started doing the same thing. More time with Samsung Tech Support, if I could get through to them. Same soft reset and hard reset. Then they found a software update that didn't install with the automatic updates. I had to download the update from Samsung to a flash drive and install it on the TV. This seemed to work for awhile. Then the problems started appearing again, in addition to an HDMI port that randomly stops functioning. I want to return the TV to Bestbuy, but it is over the 30 day limit. I have had the TV for 67 days. I have attempted to get Samsung to authorize a return for refund, but they want me to schedule a technician to come look at my TV. I am done with this TV. I do not want this TV. I will not recommend this model. I wish Bestbuy would step up and let me exchange this TV though it is over the 30 day limit on returns.

    What happened to Samsung?!?

    I always rave about Samsung TVs being the best and worth the money. It is the only brand I would buy. I just bought this TV at the end of Nov 2018. It is less than 4 months later and nothing but issues. First, the volume will randomly go out. You would have to turn TV off and back on to get it working again. Wasn't a big deal so I just lived with it rather than deal with calling and exchanging. I am pretty lazy and don't like having to call or go places. I like to stay home and watch TV haha. But now there are also a few vertical, thin lines on one side of the TV. Some are dark and some are light and they are various colors. Now the screen will randomly be just white for a min or two. Contacted Samsung Care Pros and did all the troubleshooting (since it has been more than 30 days so Best Buy won't help you). The troubleshooting made MORE and DARKER lines appear. So I have now filled out a Service request for a technician to come look at it. And I better find my receipt or else (they put it slightly more nice than that but still). What an inconvenience, this TV is garbage and they should know it from all the other complaints I am now finding on this TV. To be honest, I didn't check the online reviews before purchase (as I usually do) because it is a Samsung. I expected it to be the best quality as my past TVs have been. So sad that you can't get any good quality anymore, even if you are willing to pay more up front. Do yourself a huge favor if you just want to watch TV, don't buy this one. Any one but this one!!

    Samsung SmartHub Lightyears Behind Roku

    TV and picture quality are exceptional unless you are trying to utilize ANY of the smart tv functionality. A majority of the normal apps I used with my previous Roku Smart TV including Pandora, Xfinity Beta App, Netflix, etc. all malfunction. For example, Pandora will not play a majority of the songs on any station I select and the Xfinity Beta app only fills 60% of my screen with a grainy picture. Additionally, even though this is a 2018 model, the wifi adapter will only connect to a 2.4 gHz connection. It's 2018!!! Will not hold a Wifi connection and must be hardwired for consistent, grainy streaming. I worked with Samsung technical support to perform a SmartHub then Factory reset which did not fix any of these issues 45 minutes later. I will be returning this device.

    After two months this TV broken down. Half the screen went completely black. I called Samsung and their costumer service was a nightmare. You stay on the phone for 30 to 45 minutes before someone actually picks up. Then they would ask you millions of questions and ask you to text them pictures of the TV. Afterwards, they would want you to do a self test on the TV before they would consider sending a tech to your house. It can take 2 days for a tech to come down to your house and instead of replacing the TV with a new one the tech would replace only the screen. Think about it

    I bought this tv a little over a month ago, and it worked well at first. Now it is having so much trouble connecting to the WiFi. Every laptop, cell phone, and other tv in my house connects and works just fine but not this tv. I have tried every single thing possible- resetting the tv, Turning the WiFi off then back on, unplugging the tv, nothing works!!! This seems to be a common error with Samsung’s. I spent $800 to have a tv that cannot be used!! I will never purchase a Samsung again.

      Your router location and distance from the TV are important considerations -- having them both on the same floor with minimal interference blocking the signal (like a wall, etc.) will improve connection. You may also want to try wired LAN, if possible, since the connection will be faster and more reliable.

    Had to return it

    I bought this TV and ended up returning it for the new Lg 7series. The screen 4k was ok but I kept on seeing a blur everytime someone moved, it was driving me insane and hurting my eyes. Also the screen was to dark and you really couldn't change that. The wireless connection speed is only 2g which sucked because everything smart on it was slow. Doesn't have Bluetooth so I couldn't pair it up with nothing. The remote that came with was cheap. I wish would have known all this before I purchased it.

    I purchased this Samsung over the other tv that where less expensive thinking that the color and 4k should be a lot better, but after 20 days the led on the tv went out. Not very happy with the tv over this problem. So it’s up to you on what you like to buy for me it’s not Samsung anymore since this is not the first time. Samsung is sending someone to repair the tv so that’s good news. And inconvenience.

    Dumb TV

    I'm warning you, steer clear of Samsung TVs. I have fought with mine for a year. The wireless fails every day until you manually have the TV look for it. It never finds firmware updates so you have to manually load them onto a USB and apply them yourself. Nothing on this TV will make you not hate it in the long term. If you don't believe me, go look at the Samsung community forum and that's all you'll need. Don't be and idiot like me and buy one.

    I can't give any T.V. a positive review that only has 2 HDMI ports. Yes that is correct. This only has 2 HDMI ports. That is the equivalent to buying a computer with one USB port. This is a deal killer for me. I have another TV that is atleast 4 years old (VIZIO) that has 5 HDMI ports. Shame on Samsung for only putting 2 HDMI ports on this TV. Still kept the TV because I already got rid of the box. The picture is okay.

    I’ve had this TV for 2 months and now it glitches really bad. Picture was perfect at first now you can’t watch anything without the constant glitching. For the price this TV should be better

    Almost lasted three months before the left half of the screen lost its red colors. If you get one that works the remote range is a little weak and the software connections are a little clunky - not bad enough to be a dealbreaker.

    This TV does NOT work with Hulu Live. I did not realize this until after the 15 day return window at Best Buy or I would have returned it. No point of having a 2018 model smart TV that does not run all Apps.

    I bought a 65 Inc Samsung in 2011 6 years later the lights deemed it went darker I did not know yo can spend 4000 dollars for a tv then loose it in 6 years used rarely
