    After setting up TV all that happened was a black screen. Tried many options and reading support. Since it’s Thanksgiving support is closed for the holidays. It’s sad that the TV didn’t turn on right away. I had purchased a 55” LG same day and had no issues setting up.

    A black line was running down the middle of TV. Was a hassle to package back in to box and returned it for a 65" Sony Bravia. Sony was on sale, saved $500.

    Purchased this unit after reviewing Consumer Reports ratings. This unit's score was 80 compared to the top rated 65" OLED which was rated 88. This was one of the better rated non-OLED models. Our 65" Plasma died and required immediate replacement. As I expected when viewing non-4K UHD broadcasts this unit is not as sharp/clearly defied, nor is the black as deeply defined and consistent as a plasma but it is still very good. 4K UHD material is razor sharp and stunning. YouTube carries 4K UHD demo's and they are impressively displayed. With the proper burn-in this set delivers exceptional performance. We purchased this unit aware of one of it's biggest drawback's - moderate viewing angle - plasma's viewing angle is 100% top-to-bottom, left-to-right, and this unit is a less. The best picture is experienced when sitting directly in front, and to the sides. Another drawback is Samsung's well documented poor WIFI. Almost impossible to watch 4K UHD through the built in Netflix and Amazon apps due to the built in WIFI receiver. For best results your modem/router should be within 10' of the set or you will be subject to network drops, and or slow picture detail. Easily solved by purchasing a WIFI extender and placing it near the set. In summary below find my pros and cons. Pros - Excellent 4K UHD picture - Very good non-4K display - Vey good sound quality - One Connect system eliminates routing multiple wires to the set - Motion Blur - Good for a LED, but not as consistently sharp as a plasma Con's - WIFI - Spotty reception - Viewing angle (good but not excellent) - Apps - after Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube, the rest are fillers Would I buy this unit again - Yes it fits my needs, and is at least $1,000 less than an OLED. Be sure to update the firmware (found on-line) and below find CR's Optimized Picture Settings which provide a better picture: PICTURE SETTINGS Picture Mode: Movie Contrast: 45 Brightness: 1 Gamma: BT.1886: 0 Color: 28 Tint: R2 Sharpness: 0 Color Tone: Warm1 Backlight: 19 Local Dimming: Standard Film Mode: Auto2 Color Space Settings: Auto Auto Motion Plus Setting: Custom (Blur Reduction: 10) All other settings should be set to "off" or zero "0". Any individual R,G, or B color subcontrols, if present, should remain at their default settings.

    Horrible black uniformity and overall picture. Maybe I got a dud, but I returned it for the cheaper Q6fn and like it much better.

    Very disappointed. I waited 5 months while my house was being built for this tv. Right after closing it was my first stop. I had it professionally hung up only to find out there was something wrong with it. It wouldn’t stay on longer than 20 seconds. Now I have holes in my wall from the tv mount that only fits this tv. It also does not sit flat to the wall like you are told.

    I can't see all of the letters when the news is scrolling at the bottom of the screen and there is no way to adjust it. I called Samsung and they could not help. They took the information and said they would call me back but never did. I may return this and buy an LG.

    I have been a sony fan for 10+ years and back when I was a CE Tech, we installed many sony setups because they integrate in to home automation systems well. Long story short, I purchased the XBR75X850 which was had issues. I drove in to exchange, and the one they had also had issues, so i picked a 3rd, and got it home before seeing how bad it was in low light. I returned the sony and after talking with Coralville BestBuy's Samsung expert, got this (open-box) 65" Samsung Q7 - (i've been skeptical of samsung due to their poor quality appliances)... The Q7 is gorgeous, with a very uniform image. As I stated above, we have a dark room, and this thing still performs beautifully. I really wanted a 75", but this 65" Q7 absolutely makes up for it with fantastic colors, midnight blacks, great remote, and great look. Not a huge fan of the "one connect" box, but i don't hold that agains the TV. I hope this lasts a long time. Very pleased.

    We bought a 65" Samsung QLED TV in 2018 and the picture is still as clear today as it was the day the Best Buy guys delivered it. The picture has such a depth to it that it feels like there's another room on the other side of the wall behind the TV. We had the TV delivered and installed by the Best Buy team. They mounted it, installed the wires behind the wall and the surround sound system in the ceiling. The only reason why we are shopping for another one right now is because we have rambunctious kids that managed to mess up the corner of the screen. We are looking at buying another one just like it or the newest on the market.

    Best 4K TV price and performance

    Finally dove into 4K realm. was torn between OLED 65 versus QLED 75. For a 4K experience, larger TV always makes more sense due to viewing distance. 4K content is now growing at a rapid pace and all new movies will be available on 4K going forward, The main advantage besides resolution is HDR10 colors. I had stopped watching movies on TV altogether due to horrible black levels and lack of details on 1080p . Once you start using macs and ipads, going back to 1080p is really a no no. This TV needed calibration. I spent 2 days just tweaking to get the perfect black levels and performance i wanted. Once tuned, its really great. compared side by side with iPad to ensure the quality of images match. your main tweaks are going to be in backlight, gamma and color settings. If you can afford to, get a professional calibration done. 75" 4K TV really worked out very well. The box size was intimidating at first, but once the TV was wall mounted, you can even go bigger. Geek Squad installed the TV and it was well worth it. I went for the flush mount Samsung. It freed up a lot of space. The one connect box is great as there is only one cable going from TV to the box which is almost invisible. I highly recommend this TV for its value to price ratio. Also recommend TV protection plan as panels can go bad after an year or two.

    We had several issues with this tv & ended up returning for a Sony 4k UHD & the picture on that is much better, but if I could go back in time I wouldn't bother with a 4K yet because no channels are in 4k yet.
