If you’re one of the lucky ones that received a flawless panel then it’s a great tv, but for the most part this tv has horrible back light bleed, vertical banding and when vrr is on at least on the Xbox series x you get this weird pulsating affect on the screen.. Also good luck getting samsung support to repair the panel, I’ve already had a third party technician sent out to repair the tv by Samsung, the technician saw the issues but because there were no errors reported by the self reporting system, they’ll do absolutely nothing about it. I wish I could get a replacement and enjoy this tv, but I had no way to return it within the 15 day span so I’ve been basically stuck with it.

I was so excited getting this Samsung 65" Class Q70A TV delivered to my home. On the same day of delivery, when I turned on the TV, there are multiple black and white vertical lines displaying on my TV!!! My heart skipped a beat. I turned the TV off and then back on several times and those lines are still there. How horrifying!! How disappointing and will be retuning it back to the store. Good thing I kept the original package!!

POSITIVE:
Good TV and colors.
NEGATIVE:
After a month or two, the backlighting is already starting to add lighter spots to all black scenes which I find very annoying. Will update if resolved.

Too many defects

Usually never write reviews but it was necessary for this one. I have never had so much trouble with TVs being defective ever. Bought it the first time and after a day it had a dark tinted panel on the tv about 1/4 of the size. Exchanged it thinking we go unlucky with that model but the same thing happened again with the second one we got. This time it was on the other side with a yellowish tint on a panel 1/4 of the size again. The price is not worth all the troubles of having to return and exchange twice.

I haven't been Watching TV Correctly

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
If I were being truly honest... I would have paid double for this TV! Everything about it has impressed so far. 1st, I didn't think TV's could get much thinner, yet here is Samsung with this 1/2 inch surprise. Even as thin as it is, it still feels sturdy when handling. Combined with the thin outside frame, the TV looks stylish even when turned off. The "smart" remote really lives up to the name. Long gone are the days of entering codes to program and even having to switch batteries. The minimalist solar powered and USB rechargeable remote literally connects to other devices by simply turning them on. But we ultimately buy a TV for the picture, right? Samsung delivers with the clearest and a fastest picture I have ever seen. Fast moving sports and video games have flawless framerates. Movies are clear and detailed beyond believe. All of the preloaded picture adjustments are fantastic. I still cant decide which is my favorite. The preloaded and downloadable apps are really convenient. Getting to your streaming apps is as simple as changing the input source. I have even been impressed by the integrated speakers. Usually these flat TV's don't put out much sound, but this one has been loud enough to fill our oversized living room no problem. I'm glad I no longer have to turn on the surround sound just to watch a sitcom or the news. I highly recommend this TV. Great value!

A Brilliant Choice for Cinematic Nights

When it comes to premium television experiences, the Samsung QLED TV 65" Q70A stands out as a stellar choice. With its exceptional image quality, deep blacks, sleek design, and seamless integration with Apple products, it's a television that truly elevates your entertainment experience.
**Image Quality That Leaves You Speechless**
The Samsung Q70A QLED TV delivers stunning image quality that will leave you in awe. With its Quantum Dot technology, it produces vibrant, lifelike colors that pop off the screen. The 4K resolution ensures razor-sharp clarity, making it the perfect companion for your 4K movie nights. Whether you're watching action-packed blockbusters or scenic nature documentaries, the Q70A's picture quality is second to none.
**Inky Blacks for Immersive Contrast**
Deep blacks are crucial for achieving cinematic contrast, and the Q70A excels in this department. Thanks to its local dimming technology, you'll experience true blacks that enhance the depth and realism of every scene. This feature is especially impressive when watching movies at night, as it creates a captivating theater-like atmosphere right in your living room.
**A Design That Blends Seamlessly**
The Q70A's design is a triumph of engineering and aesthetics. Its slim profile and minimal bezels make it look like a work of art when mounted on your wall. The attention to detail and build quality are evident, ensuring that it not only performs well but also enhances the overall aesthetics of your living space.
**Apple Integration at Its Best**
For Apple enthusiasts, the Q70A is a dream come true. It seamlessly supports AirPlay, allowing you to mirror your Apple devices effortlessly. The integration extends beyond just screen mirroring; it's a harmonious ecosystem that makes sharing and streaming content from your Apple devices a breeze. It truly feels like an extension of your Apple products, offering convenience and fluidity.
**Robust App Ecosystem**
The Q70A boasts a strong app ecosystem, offering a wide selection of streaming apps to cater to your entertainment needs. It covers all the major streaming services, ensuring that you have access to your favorite content. However, it's worth noting that while it provides a great variety, it doesn't offer the same flexibility as an Android TV in terms of installing additional apps. If you're content with the available streaming services, this won't be an issue.
In conclusion, the Samsung QLED TV 65" Q70A is a top-tier television that excels in all the areas that matter most for a premium viewing experience. Its breathtaking image quality, deep blacks, and Apple integration make it a standout choice for 4K movie nights. Its slim and stylish design is the cherry on top. While its app ecosystem is strong, it may lack the flexibility of an Android TV when it comes to installing additional apps. However, for those who prioritize image quality and seamless Apple integration, the Q70A is a television that won't disappoint. It's a true centerpiece for your home entertainment setup.

I bought this TV to replace an older Vizio Smart TV. The picture, the color balance are amazing! The 120Hz refresh rate makes a huge difference from the stand 60Hz that many of the TVs have now. The sound is pretty standard to me, but I use a soundbar, so it doesn't really impact me. The added feature of a voice activated remote is pretty cool too! The remote is also rechargeable cell battery that recharges with standard room light, or if you prefer a USB charge.
The tv cost a little more than I wanted to spend, but not too much more than the lower end tv's, so I bought it, and I am really happy that I did too!

Everything I wanted in my new TV.
This tv has a clarity way above my previous set and is bright enough to over power a bright window. The OS works smooth and supports everything I need. Blacks are deeps and colors pop. Gaming is awesome as well with a high refresh rate.

Picture is excellent (I do not use as an HDR screen, if you want HDR make sure you have local dimming) - Super thin, light, remote is powered by light. Will work with other Samsung remotes. Adequate Brightness for the price point. Good response time and great contrast.
Drawbacks: remote is a bit small and overly basic - suggest buying standard full size remote. Smart features lag a little at times, not as intuitive as other implementations. Lacks local dimming (at this price with a flagship brand name it should not be expected will have to go up a model or two to get local dimming- which you do want if you really want to use HDR).

I have had this tv for just under a year now and I have only minor complaints. Namely the UI of the smart hub/ home button. At times it does seem buggy; not opening up apps, disconnecting from the wifi, etc. However it's only happened a couple of times.
Gaming on here is really pleasant. The refresh rate while playing on my PS5 is what I have dreaming about for years.and the 65" is perfect for my smaller apartment living room.
For sports it's great for a while I was hosting UFC pay per views until my living rooms smaller size became an issue.
Movies and shows are really solid. It's not the OLED version so I don't get the perfect black contrast but I was able to watch the Battle of Winterfell during the day with my drapes pulled.
Overall I think this is an excellent tv for those making their first big purchase. I also bout the sound system set and I have the ideal apartment tv. I put it at a 8/10 overall.

I've owned many Samsung TVs over the years; I still have a flatscreen Samsung from roughly 14 years ago that still works great. My Sony Bravia quit on me, so I decided to buy the Samsung 65" Q70A QLED 4K UHD and also a 85" of the same make and model. These TVs DO NOT UPSET. They are crystal clear, have a great refresh, and along with my home surround audio create an awesome theater environment. The only drawback is they are edgelit and not fully backlit, but I can't tell the difference. Would buy again!

Great TV Until the Screen Died
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I've always been a fan of Samsung TV's, and currently have four in my house. I've been reading about the declining build quality of Samsung over the past few years, but had never really bought into it.
While it was working, this was a great TV with an awesome picture. Since it was mounted on the wall it hasn't been moved, touched, ran into, or anything else that would effect the screen.
However, a week ago the screen started to discolor and a wide vertical band appeared from top to bottom. A day later, the discoloration covered about half the screen. A day after that and the screen had gone black and the TV wouldn't turn on.
If this was a $300 Hisense or something, I would understand. But this was a $1,400 Samsung, and it didn't even make it past the four year mark... that is really bad.
I understand this is an anecdotal experience, but I won't be buying Samsung again. Didn't do one star simply because when it did work, it was great.

This Samsung TV has a marvelous picture and a very easy remote to use. The image quality whether streaming or OTA are fantastic. As with almost all TV's the sound quality is lacking. I added a Roku sound bar with wireless Roku bass speaker and the TV/sounds system is perfect. It is a little heavy but no where near my 36" Sony tube I had many years ago (a metric ton, lol).
