First of all, if you are reading this review for gaming on next-gen consoles, I won't be able to input because I do gaming on a PC with a separate setup. Now for the Tv review, I would like to say that the overall picture quality is great. HDR10 seems to work well and the upscaling is very good for a 'midrange' tv. I love the center stand and the solar charging remote is a nice touch. The panels are extremely thin, but that should be the case on any tv in this price range. Overall brightness is solid as well. Now I will point out that I returned a faulty Vizio Oled and decided upon this tv for a handful of reasons. Of course price was the first reason as Oleds tend to be expensive, which is why I ended up trying a Vizio Oled in the first place over an LG or Sony. I was able to pick the Samsung Q80A QLed up for a sale price of $1400. That being said, I feel like that is a fair price for this tv. Had I purchased it for the full retail price, I would have felt a sense of regret because I have seen the difference and Oled is definitely superior in many ways. Nonetheless, the Samsung Q80A has outstanding picture quality for everyday usage and definitely competes with Oled for what it is. The reasons I give this tv a 4 star is because there are some caveats. The Q80A holds up well in dark scenes and full array backlighting is solid, but there is still a slight blooming effect that is noticeable. Also, Samsung TVs are not compatible with Dolby Vision. Dolby Vision is being utilized more and more, and in my opinion is superior to standard HDR. And lastly, this tv along with many of Samsung's 2021 models does suffer a bit of DSE (dirty screen effect). I won't say that it is awful by any means but it is there. Most people probably won't notice it or even look for it though. To summarize my review, I think the Samsung Q80A is a good tv but not a great tv. I enjoy it, I really do. And I think it's competitive to the Oled market because it feasts on Oled weaknesses such as brightness, glare and fear of burn in, all while still producing great blacks and decent contrast. The price range I purchased it at ($1400) seems to me like the more fair option. At $1800, I would tell you to spend the extra money on an Oled because contrast on Oled is just bar none better. And at $1800, I think Dolby Vision should be an option. Regardless, the Samsung Q80A is a great looking Tv.

One of the best graphics ive experienced. Its literally high tech but simple to unferstand and easy to manuever around its features. It has so many amazing apps and features . Its has live wallpaper that create sceneries such as a fireplace /chimney with burning wood . The remote is light weight and no batteries are needed it actually is a solar control remote plus it has a charging entrance to it ; to be able to usb charge it as well.

This is a great purchase. It allow me to search multiple apps for the shows and movies i want. The gaming feature is awsome. I love the fact that i dont hav to buy batteries for the remote. It allow me to add workout app and i can connect my galaxy watch and phone. It like having a in home gym

this tv provides the quality and speed you need to see to understand why your PS5 is better than all of the other systems … ive do e the work for you … so i have 4 tvs all newer 4k models- and on any tv other than this in my home i find the ps5 is pretty much equal to new xbox and the previous ps4 picture wise ( im now in a kids room looking at the ps4 picture quality so i could side by side compare lol) so basically hook the systems up 1 by 1 to this tv and instantly the ps5 picture graphic blows every system away when they’re compared on this screen .. on a regular 4k basic speed. tv its only slightly better but not substantially imo if u dont want to change ur tv for a while id hold off on buying a ps5 but if like me u have a ps5 and are looking to get the experience u paid for than this is the tv u need !

Bought this to replace a new LG that we purchased that was DOA when we set it up. First of all, the picture. Very pleased with the picture on this tv. The "soap opera effect" that so many Samsungs have is not nearly as noticeable on this model. A bit of tinkering with the settings, and it's gone. Picture is crystal clear, and lag free. The 120 hz refresh rate is amazing! Movies, tv shows, etc. all look amazing! Very user friendly interface, and the processor in this tv is very fast. Easy to use menus, etc. Love that it easily syncs with my Apple TV and Polk sound bar. Simply plug and play! QLED is worth the upgrade in price, as is the processor and light panel. We looked at both the Q60 and the W80. Very happy that we went for the Q80. Well worth it!

I’ve had this tv for almost a year now and have loved every minute of it. The bright colors and true darks. I use it for gaming on a series x and 120hz at 4k is absolutely phenomenal. And the sound from the tv alone is crazy it sounds like a mini movie theater!

This is an excellent TV! It’s easy to set up, and has great picture and sound. I would think most people won’t feel the need for a sound bar. The solar chargeable remote is neat too. This TV wasn’t purchased for me. This is my mom’s TV. She wanted my help in choosing one, and this is the one I advised her to get. I do own another Samsung QLED model, so I already knew they were solid. My entire family relies on me for tech support and advice. For what it’s worth, my sister’s boyfriend was over at her place recently, helping her with some heavy lifting. He saw and checked out the TV while he was there. He was so impressed with it that he contacted me, asking for the model number so that he could get one for himself.

Loved the TV. It provides amazing picture quality, for a more reasonable price. SMART features work great, unpacking was easy, but it is definitely recommended it should be a two-person job. Once in place, set up is pretty much a snap. Highly recommended for the price range.

We waited a month for delivery because we wanted Geek Squad delivery and setup. It was definitely worth the wait! The TV - we LOVE this tv! Have been Samsung fans for years and this one tops all others we have purchased! Got the Q80A QLED and, as expected with Samsung, the picture is crisp (almost 3D) with fantastic, true color. The apps are so easy to access with both Netflix and Amazon Prime built right into the remote! The 65” is like being at the drive-in, lol. Appreciate that the stand is still in the middle, not those awful side legs that could scratch our nice table. As always, great view from all angles. And, love that there are no batteries in the tv remote!—-it charges solar!!!! Note: we have a separate sound system, so cannot review the TV sound/speakers. The Geek Squad- Mike from the Amherst, NY Geek Squad was fantastic! First, he was early, so the extra perk was we got to watch the entire Buffalo Bills game! Second, he was so efficient and neat! We offered to put the box and stuff in our trash, but nope, Geek Squad clears everything! So organized that there was no mess, anyway! Third, he was sooo knowledgeable! He quickly set and synchronized everything for us. We hardly have to push any buttons to work this system! He could not have been more patient in setting things up and teaching us how to use it. Furthermore, he was respectful, friendly and COVID-safe during this visit. If we need GEEK squad again ever, we hope we get Mike!

Love this tv! It’s responsive, has all the apps built in that I need (Netflix, Hulu, Paramount, Apple, etc). It’s currently set to turn itself on every morning at 6 displaying the information and sounds of the current weather. Clear, crisp photo and very responsive

This 65" television has an extremely clear picture with vibrant colors. It offers many options for streaming and is easy to use. The remote is solar, no more batteries! The television was delivered in perfect condition and set up by Geek Squad. They did an excellent job. We will buy from Best Buy again and definitely use Geek Squad again!

I upgraded my older Samsung 55 inch tv with this new 65 inch Samsung tv. Wow! It's awesome! During the tennis matches I could actually see the tennis ball being hit back and forth and see where it landed! Football watching will be awesome! I added a sound bar and woofer. Now it's like being at the theater with surround sound!
