Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your Q80A TV. If the picture you are seeing out-of-the-box is not to your liking, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.
You can choose from different Picture Modes to suit your preferences. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode to choose from (Standard, Natural, Movie, Dynamic, & Filmmaker Mode. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.)
Intelligent Mode enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Adaptive Picture, which is among the options, optimizes brightness and provides the best picture quality in real time, based on the lighting condition and your content.
When enabling Game Mode on your TV, please ensure you have done the following steps:
- Connect your Xbox to HDMI port number 4 on the QN90A.
- Enable Input Signal Plus: Settings > General > External Device Manager > Input Signal Plus = On.
Also, please make sure your Xbox One X has 4K and HDR turned on:
1) On your Xbox, navigate to Settings, and select Display & sound.
2) Select Video output, and then select Video fidelity & overscan. Confirm that Auto-detect is selected. If not, select it.
3) Press the Xbox button on the controller to open the Xbox guide. Navigate to the Settings tab, and select Display & sound.
4) Select Video output, and then choose Video modes.
5) To enable HDR, check the boxes for Allow 4K and Allow HDR.
When you connect a video game console such as PlayStation and Xbox, Game Mode is set to Auto. The screen may dim or shake somewhat when this feature is enabled.
