Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Q80A TV and for sharing details of your image quality. To optimize your picture quality, please be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1901.0 which includes picture quality updates. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
If this firmware version is not yet available on your TV, you can download the update on a USB drive and manually update your TV:
1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to: Support > Manuals & Software > Find your TV model.
2. Download the update and extract it to the root of a USB thumb drive. (Do not put it in any folders on the thumb drive.)
3. Connect the USB thumb drive to a USB port on your TV.
4. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software.

You can select the Picture Mode that provides the best viewing experience. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
For optimal motion image performance, you may want to adjust the picture clarity setting by going to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings

It has excellent brightness, wide viewing angles, and smooth 120Hz performance with HDMI 2.1 support. The smart features are easy to use too. However, its black levels aren’t the deepest, so it’s not the best for dark room movie watching. Overall, a solid pick for everyday use and gaming.

I did a lot of research, and two days later I saw this tv on sale for $400 off which is an amazing deal. It’s been over a month now, and I’ve been happy with the picture quality and refresh rate in game mode. The sounds quality is also very good. I have not had even a bit of buyers remorse, and am confident ill get at least another ten years out of this samsung tv.

Q80 Wow!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love my new Samsung Q80 AA 4K tv. The picture quality is amazing and so clear. Like you are right there. I love the art display and use it when the tv isn’t on. The remote is solar powered and doesn’t require batteries so that’s a huge bonus. There is a voiced activated guide and it fairly easy to navigate. My favorite feature is the ability to adjust the tv viewing according to the light in your room. The sound quality is wonderful as well. I just wish the base was able to tilt left to right but it’s not a big deal. All the apps are great! Very happy!

The baseball game is great with vibrant color and the speed of the processor is fast! Crazy good watching movies and really enjoying his television!. Samsung has really out done . Set up was easy right out of the box! Pretty simple and it connects to your phone which is great as our older TV did none of these things! The remote is easy to use and control the TV! it is slim and sleek! Great remote its light weight!

I'm very happy with the overall quality. The TV is a bit heavy given that it has a full LED backlight, but that really helps the quality.

The in screen lighting makes the pictures come to life with vivid and solid color for every type of movie and show. We love watching cartoons with our kiddo and action packed movies after she is asleep. The object tracking sound feature makes our surround sound system zip around us like we are a part of the sound. The soundbar also makes sure the sound is harmonious from beginning to ending. With the TV set up in our living room, we don't even worry about light filtering in from the windows, since the adaptive picture feature automatically manages the brightness and contrast of the screen.
