Samsung 65” smart QLED TV 80 series

Had it installed by the Geeks because there is antiglare coating on the screen that can come off as u peel off the plastic ! This is something I read about in my research ! Must be very careful removing screen plastic so I didn’t want to deal with this so I felt it worth it to have it installed so they can be responsible if something goes wrong! I have the TV on furniture the sound is fine . These TV’s are designed to be on something the sound comes out of the speakers and bounces off the furniture into the room . My husband is an engineer and sail if there is nothing under the TV then the sound projecting from the speakers has nowhere to go but down . Most people who decide to mount their TV should realize the sound from the tiny speakers inside the tv will not be as loud . I can reccomend installing a wall shelf under the tv so the sound bounces off the shelf into the room . Many people have purchased sound bars not knowing that the tv speakers need a surface for the sound waves to hit then bounce into the room so the audio is enjoyed without the addition of a sound bar. Of course sound bars are necessary but our room size is average and we sit close enough ( approx. 8-10.ft)

Movies are very nice as well but its not an oled so it won't be perfect. All in all its a great purchase for the money with no worries of burn in.

We appreciate the help we got from all including the person at the door making sure everyone had masks and kept distance for safety, the sales tech and the delivery crew were all pros.

Underperforms with lower resolution content. The soap opera effect is way too intense and shutting it off doesn’t completely shut it off and makes some content hard to watch. The sound is really good and the tv’s best feature is how well it handles reflections. The tv is stand mounted but isn’t level. Pitched backwards making the viewing a bit odd. Getting used to it though. Cable management stinks. The cables recommended by Best Buy don’t fit in the groves and are too bulky for the cover

The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer your content is to 4K, the better the image will look on the screen.
Here are some tips to help improve the sharpness.
1) HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing.
2) If you have an analog cable box or satellite box, upgrade to a digital cable box or satellite box.
3) Adjust the cable box or satellite box's video output resolution to 1080i.
4) Look for a channel that is broadcasting native HD content. For over the air/cable antenna connection, try these steps to find HD channels: Go to Menu>Settings> Broadcasting> Auto Program
You can try the following steps to reduce the soap opera effect.
Navigate to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings
The default setting is Auto. This means the feature automatically turns on and off based on the type of program being watched. Change the setting to either Off or Custom. If you select Custom, three additional settings are available for further customization to your viewing preference: Blur, Judder, and LED Clear Motion. LED Clear Motion allows you to configure the LED backlight to sharpen fast-moving images. Select to turn On or Off.

Was able to direct wire internet Xbox and Roku. Am able to access them all from main menu without a problem. Numerous extras like Samsung TV and many other preloaded apps was a nice surprise! Great addition to my new basement. Still learning all I can do with remote and apps! Love it. Six weeks no freezing,slowing or glitches
