I love the excellent picture quality on this TV, and the ease of operation and intuitive design of the remote. I don’t have cable, so the TV+ feature is a great bonus, giving about 130 extra channels to view in addition to the “over the air” channels. Connecting external devices and getting them to work with the TV is easy. The only negative is there are no number buttons directly on the remote, so inputting a channel number directly is a little cumbersome, because you have to press a button on the remote to get to the number menu buttons on the TV, but it’s no deal breaker. The best way to get to a specific channel is to scroll by holding the channel up or down buttons and it will glide through the channels fast. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase.

This was purchased as a present. So, it was tough to decide between the Q70 and Q80. Our family room has one wall that is all windows and the afternoon sun creates an awful glare. I was originally going to purchase the Q70. The price jump to the Q80 was significant (more than just a couple hundred dollars). There are only a few differences between the two and one of them is glare reduction. Having said that, I couldn’t be happier with my decision to bite the bullet and buy the Q80. The glare reduction is amazing. The clarity of the picture is absolutely incredible. Super easy to set up. An added bonus is the smart tv. We switch between Netflix, Apple TV, our regular satellite, etc with ease. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

It's been a few months since we purchased this TV and we continue to be impressed. The primary reason for getting the Samsung QLED vs the LG OLED was the better reflection ratings for the Samsung. The colors and handling of blackness was equally good but our viewing room has lots of windows and the Samsung does a great job with those light reflections. The access to apps and adding other devices such as gaming systems is very easy and logical. My only slight criticism is on the remote. I find that at times the responsiveness is lacking and I have to use a different remote to access all of the DVR features but this is a minute inconvenience relative the overall positive review.

Amazing Picture Quality, Amazing color spectrum, great black levels, when in watching HD/4k content colors pop out at you. Sound Quality is Superb coming from the TV speakers. Nice ambient virtual surround feels like you really have a surround sound setup. Remote is small and perfect. The amount of buttons and functions built in works perfect with what you actually end up using it for. Game Mode is well designed, there is 1 HDMI (2.1)port on the back for a Game Console. I was comparing this with the Sony H900 Series, I was going to go with the Sony for the extra 2.1 HDMI port, but decided to go with this instead and I am very glad that I did. When you look at the Overall quality and the smart TV functions and all the extra features, this TV is well worth it. If you are lucky to find an open box, just get the 5 yr Geek Squad and call it a day.

Best TV I've owned so far, upgraded from a 55" Sony to this 65" Samsung Q80T. After doing lots of research and deciding to spend more than I initially planned, here are the standout features that drew me to this TV: 1) Samsung's anti-glare coating is incredible; I no longer have to draw all the shades in the house just to play video games. 2) Local dimming feature helps darken the black colors during dark movie/video game scenes, minimizes the blooming effect that is a common issue with less expensive TVs. This is the closest you can get to rich OLED blacks without forking over way more cash + having to worry about screen burn-in. 3) Overall picture quality, motion, color, and brightness are amazing. 4) Best bang for your buck in the mid-range 65" TV category. The only criticism I have is that Samsung downgraded all of its Q series models for 2020. I missed out on the 2019 Q70 closeout sale, so I had to go with the 2020 Q80 to get the same features, especially local dimming. Overall, very happy with my purchase, would buy again.

Great picture quality. Easy to hang and start. Not much glare coming from patio door to the side and good for up-close, wide-angle viewing. Salesperson was very helpful in the store. Installed ourself due to long wait time for geek squad to install.

TV has a great picture. We have a ton of windows, and it was often difficult to see the picture on our old television. This television negates most of the glare! Can watch at any time of the day without needing to get a better angle. Well worth spending a little more $ to get this feature. Remote is a little confusing at first - but no big deal once you get used to it. Only complaint (minor) thus far: the stand which comes with it is somewhat lighter duty than I would expect with this television. OK since our house is on a slab, but if you have a crawlspace, you may actually get some television shake if someone walks past!

Wow, what a surprise. The improvement over last years model is noticeable. Darker darks and a faster refresh rate make this an easy replacement. We had an unfortunate meeting between last years Q80 and our grandsons toys, ouch. We decided since we liked the TV and have a matching sound bar we would just replace the damaged one with the same model. The improvement is noticeable while retaining the back lighting. We have a very bright room with a 9' by 8' sliding glass window and West orientation we get tons of natural light. The sun does not interfere with picture quality. We can see the picture clearly even from the Kitchen island that is 30' away. Well worth the price, we are happy with our Xmas present to ourselves.

This TV exceeded my expectations. If you have a Samsung smartphone and looking to buy a new TV---this is the one. Both devices sycn very quickly and its nice using samsung DEX on your big scree. Bonus points if you have the Watch 3. It can be used as a track pad...... the q90t is nice but this tv provides alot more value for the money. And the specs are not that far off. Buy this TV, if you are on the fence. Make sure to visit Rtings.com as their reviews are very detailed and helped me with this purchase. One last note, Picture quality is amazing. My TV is wall mounted and blacks are very deep and color is very accurate with very little configuration out of the box. Very happy with my purchase.

What a picture! Talked to 2 different guys who told me (independently) that this was the only TV they would recommend if my room had lots of sunlight or lights, since the Q80 series has the best anti glare of the brands LG, SONY, &Samsung, It looks great even on sunny days - still just a little glare but totally tolerable. Can’t comment on its speakers since I chose to hook up the TV to my Denon and a couple of KEF speakers - NICE. Easy controls - lots of preloaded apps (and adding others is easy to do). Sports literally jump off the screen, and I’ve seen no evidence of “ghosting.”

Maybe it's because I'm coming from a 1080p TV, but this TV is amazing. The sharpness and the color depth are both fantastic. I had read a lot about "blooming," but honestly it's not noticeable in everyday usage. In reality, you only notice it if you're actually looking for it. Additionally, the TV is surprisingly stable on its center stand, which we wanted because we have a fairly small TV stand. At the time of writing, all of the included applications for the Smart features are all very well thought out and functional and we've been using them exclusively over any other set-top box. Overall, for the price, this is a great TV and we don't regret not getting something more expensive because this one looks great!

Awesome!, except for the voice commands. The voice commands on my 6 year older Samsung TV are much better than Alexa, Bixby or Google. I do like the ability to turn the TV on or off by phone or Alexa, which I can't do with the older Samsung. The picture and audio is phenomenal. I like the color and sound tuning features and auto correction features. The I/O feature and WiFi capabilities are great. I do get better sound when playing something like Pandora through my OPPO with TV as a display verses the TV as a source for Pandora. Still the TV serves as a good center channel with my two channel Parasound / Magnapan rig. Bixby simply sucks!

Initially, I was focused on OLEDs because of the reviews of their true blacks & wide color rendition. However I decided I wasn't ready to experience burn-in & I wasn't sure it would be bright enough. The Q80T picture is excellent with deep blacks & rich color & it upscales non-4k content excellently. In addition it can get very bright, making colors pop & it has very good wide angle viewing. I thought I might miss Dolby Vision (which it lacks) but I don't. I also like the center stand design which doesn't require a large support platform. I didn't think the Q90T would provide any additional quality for the significant extra cost & I think that has been born out.

This TV is absolutely amazing! I cannot express how beautiful the graphics are. I love gaming on the TV with the retracing and the high frame rates. The quantum dot makes the blacks darker which gives the feel of movies more realistic. The Artificial Intelligence is great for darker scenes in movies. Depending on light exposure the TV will make the darker scenes brighter. It is very thin and looks very sleek on the wall. Having Bixby and Google Assistant built in is very helpful. My favorite thing to do is use the built in google assistant to turn my lights to movie theater mode. All in all, this tv is worth the price and I highly recommend it.

4k/120hz too good to be true?

So after having this TV for a little over a week and playing around with it, I can say this is a lot of TV. I wasn't sure what to expect when I set it up on my home network but I found that my 7 year old HTPC needed an updated graphics card to properly support it. Will likely do a full rebuild soon. But apart from that initial hiccup, it really is beautiful (especially coming from a 55" 1080p/60hz LCD display). A word of caution though, there simply isn't any 4k/120hz content right now to fully take advantage of this TV. And even if there were, you'll need HDMI 2.1 on all your devices to support it. That means you'll have to upgrade your receiver, cables, and devices. However, it's worth noting that most movies and TV shows are shot in 24 FPS. So unless you have a high end gaming PC, plan on getting a next gen console such as the PS5, or watch sports; 4k/60hz will likely be the most you ever actually see. HDMI 2.1 will be the standard to support 4k/120hz (or display port but unfortunately this TV does not have that connection) and this TV does have one 2.1 port. Unfortunately it's not the eARC port. That one appears to be HDMI 2.0b and likely will not be able to handle 4k/120. So yeah this TV is great but just be aware, 120hz in 4k just isn't a thing yet. But whenever it is, this TV will support it.

This is an outstanding television, I'm extremely satisfied with its performance. If I would have pulled the trigger 1 days earlier I would have got another couple hundred dollars off the price but Best Buy would not honor that price. The colors are so bright and pop out at you. The sound quality is a little better than I thought it would be. Certainly not a surround sound however it doesn't do a bad job. The only thing I am bummed about is I can't get the apps play on my surround sound.

Bought it in 2020 and price was around 750 ish when I bought it ! I see the price now and it’s ridiculously expensive! It is AN AMAZING TV WE LOVE IT ! have it in the living room and we watch all kinds of movies on it . It does support Apple TV app . Easy to use , at first it would disconnect from the wifi a lot but I called Samsung and they fixed it over the phone they resented it on their side . The controller is like all the new ones from Samsung , small and sensitive controller .
