Sound is absolutely terrible.

I'm returning this TV due to the flawed audio system. If you choose not to get a soundbar and rely on the built in speakers then you won't be happy. Any low frequencies in 5.1 programming vibrate and resonate the entire TV making it unenjoyable to watch a movie. I would consider another TV if you're a movie buff.

Poor sound quality

I had an appointment for the geek squad to exchange it but it was canceled. Now i have to wait 2 more weeks. I dont know if i got a bad tv or is this a ongoing problem with this model. I'll have to wait to see when they bring the new on the 22nd of January.

Samsung QN800A

The picture quality is amazing it's so vibrant and crystal clear. The directional sound is superb. Can't wait for 8k content to be more vastly available. The difference between 4k to 8k is not huge but it is noticeable. The 8k content looks amazing and so does 4k upscale.I really like all the features it has Samsung TV plus, object tracking sound and the infinity one design is superb. The bezel is barely noticeable which is great I like the simplistic minimal design. Not to mention no more messy cords with the one connect box. The response when navigating the apps is fast no lagging at all the Samsung smart system is very responsive. I like that the remote can either be charged via USB or solar I do however wish it was back-lit. The anti reflective screen is amazing. No more fighting for the perfect spot on the couch the movies look great from any angle. The only negative is my sound bar is not compatible however I'm looking forward to adding a q symphony one. I really cool feature I like is Samsung Health is built in. You simply connect a webcam to the TV to workout at home and join fitness classes without buying a dedicated device. No more gym membership. My family and I really love our TV and I'm sure everyone who gets one will love it too, highly recommend.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung QN800A TV and for your review. Watching TV for an extended period of time causes the panel to generate heat. The heat from the panel is dissipated through internal vents running along the top of the TV. The bottom, however, may feel hot to the touch after extended use. This heat, however, is not a defect and does not affect the TV's functionality.

Samsung QN800A TV

When plugged into my Denon Receiver the image would randomly go black for a second when watching some local channels. I tried replacing the HDMi cables and running software upgrades. Called Samsung and they said the issue was with the xfinity box. Called Xfinity and they said the issue was with the TV. In the end got a refund and purchased a LG TV OLED.

Samsung does it again!

The box used to connect all of the inputs works well. Once you turn on the TV it will ask you if you want to continue setup with the included remote (it's solar!) or with the Samsung app. I went with the app and just followed the simple instructions. It asks you to turn on all the connected devices and it picked them all up (Apple TV, Xbox One, PS5 and my Yamaha receiver). There are 4 inputs and ethernet and an optical. After about 5 minutes I was setup. Turned on my PS5 to see the "next gen" graphics and was really impressed. Next I put on HDR 4k show on Netflix and was blown away. Is this an expensive TV? Yes. Should you buy it? Yes. P.S. If you are buying this I know you have a dedicated receiver. But for some strange reason people still ask about built in speakers. They are there, they sound nice but a dedicated stereo and speakers sound a 1000x better.

Sold an open box TV that was unusable!

This TV was unusable. Thank God we were able to return it to the San Bernardino store; where the customer service was excellent.

TV Did Not Power Up. Total Disappointment !!!

However, the TV did not power up after several attempts. I tried all trouble-shooting techniques as suggested by Samsung. It was a total disappointment. I ended up returning the TV to the store.
