We are pleasantly satisfied with this purchase of the 65" Q90. The smart technology is a step up and eliminates us from having to use a separate streaming device (Amazon fire stick) which we have been religiously using due to the obsolete, terrible tech in our previous TV. Definitely going to enjoy this TV.

I went from a Samsung 7 series to this and the remote and processing speed (switching between Applicants) is very fast and smooth. Picture quality is a bit dark unless you put it on Natural mode then it looks amazing.

Quantum Matrix Technology is powered by exclusive Mini LED designed technology engineered to give you hyper-focused brightness and dimming in all the right areas, and the Quantum Processor 4K elevates every picture to 4K.
If you are uncomfortable with the default brightness settings, you can customize the brightness level between 0 – 50 to your preference. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Brightness.
Intelligent Mode also enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Adaptive Picture, which is among the options, optimizes brightness and provides the best picture quality in real time, based on the lighting condition and the content you're viewing.

There are some slow dimming issues and dynamic tone mapping problems but hardly noticeable. Very bright and very dark at the same time. The problem is gaming. The dimming cannot keep up in Game Mode. Rtings gives it a 7 but I would give it a 2. The dimming and undefeatable tone mapping cause weird color changes in dark areas, and HUD icons to get discolored and blurry. The pics I added show what it should look like vs what it does (the color faded ones are the QN90). This happens to stuff in game too, along with very visible slow dimming that can't keep up. Oh and if you want to use PC Game mode, there is horrendous ghosting. Myself and others have done everything we can to fix this thing but it is impossible. Samsung has all this auto adjust stuff you cannot turn off. I post on their forums, they ignore me. There has been one software update in 3 months that did nothing but break Dolby Atmos. The TV is probably good hardware, the software just stinks. Others like me have moved on to OLEDs or Sony LCDs, and neither ruin the picture in game mode like this does. Thank you for purchasing the Samsung QN90A TV and for sharing details of your image when using Game Mode. You may want to try adjusting settings under Game Mode like Dynamic Black Equalizer and Game HDR to achieve the best performance.
Additionally, you can press and hold the play/pause button on your remote when in Game Mode to start the Game Bar. Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) is one of the settings located within the Game Bar, which will show you which gaming functions are currently active, depending on the type of game you are playing (ON, OFF, FreeSync Premium, FreeSync Premium Pro).
If you find Game Motion Plus causes unwanted artifacts or causes blur when playing some FPS games, try toggling this setting to Off. You can disable this feature within the Game Bar when in Game Mode. You can also adjust blur and judder settings by going to Settings > General > External Device Manager > Game Mode Settings > Game Motion Plus Settings. Please keep in mind when you increase the values for Blur Reduction and Judder Reduction in Game Motion Plus Settings, the input lag will increase.
To ensure your TV is fully optimized, please also be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1903.0 (released 1/12/22) which includes various performance updates. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
If this firmware version is not yet available on your TV, you can download the update on a USB drive and manually update your TV:
1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to: Support > Manuals & Software > Find your TV model.
2. Download the update and extract it to the root of a USB thumb drive. (Do not put it in any folders on the thumb drive.)
3. Connect the USB thumb drive to a USB port on your TV.
4. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software.

My tv has shadowing and a line going down the middle that’s only apparent on bright scenes . Very noticeable in certain games . Had I known ahead of time I would have returned. At this price point the tv should be flawless. Samsung get your stuff together .
