Not happy

It started freezing on me. Can’t use apps due to the reason of it always crashing. I paid almost 2k for this tv. I feel I deserved better. It was a hard decision for me to go from LG to Samsung but now I understand. :/

Okay okay, Not feeling 2023 still 2020 Television

If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.
Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
3. Eco: Provided to save energy
4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

Buy a Sony if you want a great TV.

The operating system is absolutely garbage. Buy a Sony, they are SOOOOO easy and intuitive. This interface is complicated, convoluted and extremely buggy. Sound is unpredictable and rushes from too loud to too low.

BUYER BEWARE

They delivered a refurbished one. Took my information to the local store and my choices were a floor model, return it or 75 dollar gift card. Made me feel it was my fault I didn’t catch it! Took the gift card and left. Got home and chatted with Best Buy online, they confirmed I bought a brand new tv, Not refurbished!! Took that transcript back to the store and was given the same options. It’s very sad Best Buy would bait and switch people and not make it right.

I took TV home by myself. Unpacking, installation and setup was difficult. Instructions were dismal. Salesman sold me $170 membership. Led me to believe Geek Squad covered by membership. Not true. Salesman was deceptive or incompetent.

Screen died in a year

My 10 year old Samsung had way better picture than this poorly made tv. Also, DO NOT buy geek squad install. They sent ONE person to install a 65 " tv and he damaged my furniture and bent the wall mount!

You have to look at it almost centered for it to look alright. Turning down the brightness wont help. During a really dark seen with low brightness you cant see anything. If you turn up the brightness you can see the picture but itll look as if it had a camera flash on. I have a 12 year old samsung that looks better than this. Oh and the remote…. Prepare to keep switching back to whatever device youre connected to. Isnt a simple 3 button press and youre back to hdmi 1 or whatever. Nope. Complicated way to get back to whatever hdmi youre using since the remote is EXTREMELY sensitive. So annoying.

Disappointed in Samsung S90C TV

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchase a Samsung 65" Class S90C OLED Smart Tizen TV and mounted it on a SANUS Elite - Advanced Full-Motion TV Wall Mount. So far so good right? Well not really because the Samsung new design solar powered remote would not pair with the S90C. The latest and greatest Samsung TV wouldn't even turn on long enough to program via cell phone. Next I contacted Samsung and they couldn't solve the issue so they said they would send me out a new remote but it take around 20 days to arrive. So my latest and greatest Samsung S90C TV sits on the wall dead as a preverbal doornail awaiting a new remote that will hopefully pair up with the TV. Not so good at all. FWIT, Best Buy and Samsung (live person) customer service experience has been excellent. It's the actual Samsung S90C TV that has been a real disappointment to put it mildly.

I'm sorry to hear of the remote issues you've experienced, and we greatly appreciate your patience while awaiting a replacement. In the meantime, please know you can use the following to control your TV:
- Using the TV Control button (beneath the Samsung logo on the TV). This will allow you to turn your TV on/off, change the channel, adjust volume levels, and switch sources.
- With the SmartThings app on a mobile device. The app will act just as your remote would. If you haven't set up SmartThings yet, here's how:
1. Turn on your TV. Then, on your phone, open the SmartThings app.
2. Tap the Device tab, tap the Home icon, and then select the location where you'd like to add the TV. Tap Add (the plus sign), and then tap Add device.
3. Under the "By device type" tab, tap TV, and then tap Samsung.
4. Tap TV again, and then tap Start. Select a location and room, and then tap Next.
5. From here, select your desired TV from the list of available devices.
6. Use the remote to select OK on the TV screen.
7. Once the TV has been added, use the SmartThings app on your phone to rename it, and then tap Done.

OLED TV Defects

Screen Optimization program comes on every day and takes 10 minutes before can start watching programs. Samsung says part of product and can’t remove and refuses refund. Also unprompted boxes in lower left screen appear with options for various actions or programs. If nothing selected screen taken over with additional options. Meanwhile the tv program being watched continues with no sound. 1-2 minutes of no sound greatly defeats viewing. I bought two other Samsung non-OLED tvs which operate well. Never buy a Samsung OLED.

Black Screen of Death

Poor Wifi operation effects viewing quality

Been having connection issues and verified from Geek Squad that the Wifi performance on this TV is poor. Can run speedtest with computer or iPhone right next to TV and they get 150M download where as same test comes up with maybe 50M on this TV. This poor performance obviously always effects the content I'm watching . This is also my 2nd of this model. First blew up. Just stick with Sony.

Thank you for sharing your experience with Wi-Fi connectivity on your S90C TV. This may be caused by a network issue. You might want to go through these steps to check your network connection:
1) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (Wi-Fi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.)
2) If the wireless connection fails, connect the TV to the access point via a LAN cable. If the TV can connect to the Internet normally via the wired connection, there might be a problem with the access point. In this case, try using a different access point.
3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem. Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test
4) Try a cold reboot of your TV by pressing and holding the power button for 5+ seconds until the TV turns off and on again.
5) Please also be sure you have the latest firmware update. You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

7 month old tv died

No picture, just a black screen. We called CS and after a 27 minute phone call, got the repair scheduled 5 days later. ( Thank God our 15 yo Sony still works!) After 4 calls to Service "Quick" ( Samsung's service) two were disconnected, they told us no repair will be made until a part comes in. No eta. This is beyond unreasonable! I will NEVER EVER BUY A SAMSUNG AGAIN! THEIR WASHER IS HORRIBLE TOO! Leaves oil spots on clean clothes. Do not buy a Samsung!!!

BEST BUY POOR SERVICE AND RIP OFF

Service was scheduled 2/14/24 9:00-1:00 and nobody showed up or called. When I called they said the parts were not in and rescheduled for the following week.

A week later Samsung techs come by to repair just to find out the whole panel needs to be replaced. I am now waiting another week to see how this goes. I would have rather had Bestbuy make it right and take it back since its financed through them anyhow and less than 30 days of ownership….
