Was excited to get this tv, however, less than 24 hours of having, I was disappointed when I attempted to watch a horror movie and the picture was extremely dark. I called Samsung and spoke to a customer service rep. She had explained to me that with these OLED tv’s Action movies, horror movies unfortunately will not appear bright, something to do with how they are filmed for big screens. MIND BLOWN!!!! I then called Best Buy and was told that perhaps the “Frame” would better suit my needs.

      JuneN,

I’m sorry to hear you’re not fully satisfied with the S94BD TV’s picture quality. If the image is too dim, please try disabling some of the TV's energy efficiency functions, as these will automatically adjust your picture and may cause your screen to appear brighter or darker than preferred. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > turn off Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, and Motion Lighting

You may also want to try adjusting image settings to improve your picture. Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
      1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
      2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
      3. Eco: Provided to save energy
      4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
      5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

You can also customize the brightness level of your screen between 0 – 50 to your preference. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings

Please also make sure you’ve got the latest firmware version installed on your TV. You can check this by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now

I hope these tips help. Should you need further assistance, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

Best TV We Have Ever Owned

This is our first OLED and so far, (after only two weeks), my wife and I are not disappointed, but cannot offer any comparisons to other OLEDs on the market. What we can say with conviction, however, is that even our aging eyes can tell the difference in the quality of its picture compared to all the televisions we have ever owned. We are using a soundbar, but most non-audiophiles would probably be satisfied with the TV speakers, which surprised us because of its thin, though attractive, profile. Its thin frame and lower weight than most other 55" and 65" TVs may encourage some DIYers to assemble and set it up by themselves, without keeping in mind that thinner and lighter also means more delicate and fragile. For that reason, my layman's advice is to have two for the job if you prefer not to pay the Geek Squad to set it up. Neither of us play games on it, so have no opinions as to settings. But for those and other settings, as well as to compare various TVs with one another, we recommend that potential buyers check tech websites to learn what the tech pros have to say about ANY TV before they buy. This TV has little glare, and appears to handle dark areas as well as bright areas well. It is also stating the obvious that one person's viewing preferences may not match others. With the disclaimer that settings are simply personal preferences that may not suit others, these are the settings we have chosen: We are using the Filmmaker mode with the Intelligent Mode off. For Brightness we have it set at 50, Contrast 45, Sharpness 6, Color 18, and Tint (G/R) 0. The Color tone we have chosen is Cool. We chose a Custom picture clarity, with both Blur and Judder reduction set at the highest 10 setting. We have also kept the Clear Motion, Contrast Enhancer, Film Mode and Noise Reduction off. The Peak Brightness we have on the High setting and have Color Space Settings and Digital Audio on Auto. We do not recommend that anyone else use the settings that we have chosen, but feel free to compare them with the ones you have decided on if you wish to share them with others. A word of caution for those who are unfamiliar with OLEDs is in order, because they are still susceptible to "Burn-In." So a word to the wise is to minimize the time that static images are left on, especially if you choose not to get insurance for that potential. All in all, this is the best TV we have ever owned AS LONG AS its qualities do not diminish within five years.

So far a great TV! I've only had it for 2 days so my review is limited. I'm really impressed with the sound. There's actually some bass coming out of the speakers. I haven't attempted to adjust the trouble or bass but I will say that maxing out the volume does not overly increase the bass. I'm sure that's to keep the speakers from falling apart and protecting it for longevity. The bass is not earth-shattering but I can slightly feel it from the next room! Navigating through the screens is VERY fluid with immediate response to the navigation button. The home screens seems to be well organized. I'm really impressed with the remote, which has a microphone to give commands. It doesn't have too many buttons to make it confusing to use. Mute is integrated into the volume button, by pushing down on it. Pushing down on the channel but has a function as well.

I was trying to find a new TV at a great value. The guys at my nearest store helped me out since I was trying to choose between a Sony, LG, or Samsung TV. I decided on this model since I was told that it's essentially the same as the 2023 OLED model but much cheaper. It has the true black from OLED technology and it had some of the new Neo QLED technology where it focuses pixels on the subject the TV needs to focus on to give you a sharper image. Overall, after using it for a few days I'm loving how the colors are vivid and how truly black black colors are. Only con I can say is the remote, the sunlight charging panel is kind of pointless if you keep everything inside away from windows. It has a type c charging port so that should be enough.

What Samsung was able achieve a little over a year ago is to from day one alter the OLED market by in my opinion out Sonying Sony right out of the gate with its first OLED! What i saying… the colors, the brightness’ the flesh tones right of the box! Giving gamers and movie lovers an amazing product and so it got rave reviews at first, however it was soon after savaged by all the so called experts who knew this company had really accomplished something with this model right out the gate was perfect no but it is shockingly close so out come the jealous opinions this set is amazing abd to get at almost have the original price is flat out awesome!!! . Ask yourself why would Sony adopt the technology with their version if it wasn’t such a great technology and then charge so much money for it just because it’s Sony Go out and get one before they’re gone Samsung hit it out of the park !!! Don’t know the difference between this model than the S95B is but as far as I’m concerned!!it is a great value completely satisfied! Go out and get yours before they are gone !!

It's been 2 months since I have purchased this TV. So far so good. I was initially skeptical about getting this model over an LG C2 65", however, the deal was too good to pass on when I made the purchase. I have some reviews online, and there were complaints about the remote's lack of numeric keys and no dedicated input selector. I have attached all the devices via HDMI; Nvidia Shield, Switch, and my Bose 900 soundbar. I did not have any of the user experience issues as all the devices showed up in the Samsung Hub and they were tiles that I could click on and turn on the devices. Picture Quality is great and I did not have any dead pixels or issues with image quality. I have been really happy with my purchase.

Great OLED TV. Was a bit unsure when I first bought it since I was looking at the S95B/C2 while I was at the store. This model was $100 less than the price of the S95B and the (limited) information I could find on the product was that it was a Best Buy version of the S95B. Once it was setup I had no regrets in the purchase. The picture is amazing with fantastic contrast for both HDR and SDR content. Also the panel is very bright for an OLED. One thing for potential buyers is that this TV- like all Samsung TVs- doesnt support Dolby Vision. If you care about that, you’ll need to look at another brand. Overall very satisfied with the S94BD and would definitely recommend it to anyone on the fence.

Coming from a 2015 Samsung 1080p tv. What an upgrade. When I walked out the store, a random guy with his son said OLED is the way to go. He was not wrong. I find the samsung ui to be very messy. Get an Apple TV or a fire stick. The TV is great but very bright, I had to turn it down to 34 brightness. I think oled really shines in showing blacks and dark colors and the dynamic picture setting really compliments it. If the tv makes a clicking sound when off or even on, that’s when the pixel refresher is working or the tv is making a process such as connecting to tv. It’s normal I purchased it off a promotion and got a $300 gift card which I sold and bought a 5 year warranty with through geek squad.

So the world is going to crap, and you have the money to spend. Is this TV worth buying... YES!! If you're like me, you can't afford a bunker. And with food prices the way they are, good luck stocking up enough food to stave off starvation from taking family members one by one. So what can i do?... you might ask. Enjoy your time with family. Sit together around this excellently crisp detailed viewing experience and enjoy family friendly content, game your favorite dystopian console with HDR10+ and Variable Refresh Rate, engage in conspiracy theories with this smart TVs app enabled platforms, or just watch footage of nuclear rain fire down on cities in 4k, 120hz clarity. If tomorrow was your last day, let this OLED be your last TV!!

I was originally looking at buying the S95B, but it went out of stock, and this S94BD popped up on Best Buys website the next day. After talking with Best Buy, and Samsung they did in fact admit that this is the same TV as the S95B, minus 1 thing. Samsung told me this is a drop in OLED model. The only difference that I have a found between this TV & the S95B, is that the S94BD does not have the Tap View feature. Other than that this TV is a complete mirror of the S95B. One last thing if you intend to mount this TV like I did, it does come with 2 spacers, as you will need them. To save yourself time go to your local hardware store and get 4 M8x30mm bolts as that is the correct size for the mounting brackets for the back of this TV. Enjoy!

I purchased this TV a month ago, I have really enjoyed it. Probably the best I have purchased in a long time. I have a fairly bright room and the TV recognizes this and compensates well. The remote is very responsive thru the navigation. The colors are vibrate and the darks are true. The sound is good, but I love my sound bar better. I find myself watching old 4k movies just to relive the experience. Well done!

The color is brilliant l, smooth picture, ultra thin screen. Fits nicely on wall mounts. The sound is ok had to add a sound bar to get any base. The remote control is pretty simple to use and it has a solar panel to charge it. Overall the tv is good but they should have put a better speaker in it.

The TV is excellent, but the out of the box setting were terrible. I thought we were going to have to return the TV due to very bad black crush and dim screen making the TV unwatchable. Fortunately, I went online and researched a number of sources (Reddit was really helpful) where users with the same issues shared their settings that fixed the problem. I had to change pretty much every setting to be able to actually see the texture of clothing instead of black holes of darkness. After finally understanding what each setting did, and how I preferred it, the TV is amazing. For fun we watched Disney’s “Coco” and the ability of this TV to create color blew my mind. So initial reaction of “how could we have spent to much for such a terrible TV” to “wow, we’ve never seen such an amazing picture” was a journey. Take the time to learn the settings and fix the out-of-box picture. Besides the picture, I really like the remote. It’s small and efficient to use once you learn the features. After using a Roku for so many years, I found the Tizen system pretty easy to figure out. Sound is very good for such a thin TV, though I do plan to add a sound bar soon for more oomph.
