It has some steam features that we haven't used. I purchased this drying unit thinking it was "smart", to match the smart washer unit we also purchased. It turns out it isn't "fully smart". Wish confuses us and honestly disappointing.

Buyer Beware

The dryer is average at best when drying large loads as we have a family of 7 so every load is large. If you are drying a handful of clothes, it works great, but for towels, or even a twin size comforter, you may be waiting 2-3 hours for it to dry. Exactly one year after owning, the dryer will not stop spinning unless it is unplugged or the door is left open. We are in the process of seeking out Samsungs warranty. I have owned Whirlpool in the past for many years and never had this problem. After doing a google search, I have found that this is not a new issue with samsung.

The old one just stopped turning on. We tried checking power sources and no issues were found. I am now worried these may fault sooner rather than later.
