doesnt dry at same rate as washer washes

I was told the earliest delivery date was December 30th, 2017, so the wait was on. My washer and dryer was delivered as promises and on time. I use my dryer a total of 3 times. On the second day of ownership and the 4th attempt at using my dryer is where everything went wrong. I selected my drying options and pushed the start button. I heard the motor start and the drum did not move. I stopped the dryer and opened the door to make sure the drum would spin by hand and it did. So I closed the door and pressed start again, but this time, smoke began to bellow out from ever nook and cranny on this dryer. A horrible electrical burn smell filled my laundry room. I immediately stoped the machine and unplugged it. Smoke still came from the machine for about 15 minutes. I then called geeksquad and was told the earliest exchange appointment was over a week away! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I am very hesitant about taking the exchange and having this happen again. I am so glad I was home when this happened. I can only imagine what would happen if I was not home. DO NOT BUY!

Will never buy any products from Samsung.

Geek squad came over to fix it, they couldn’t because Samsung forgot to deliver the mother board. It’s been 2 weeks, still haven’t been able to use my dryer. Keep in mind I’ve only used this dryer twice, conveniently stops working on my third use. I wash clothes every two weeks, it’s not a lot of clothes. It’s just two of us... So imagine a family of five, it would break every week. Geek Squad has been amazing, definitely get their protection plan extremely worth it. Or you will be on the phone for hours just to speak with someone from Samsung. I’m stuck with a dryer that failed on the third week. I purchased based on a review that this dryer was decent. I would expect problems maybe 1 or two years down the road but for the mother board to just stop working on my third use shows the lack of quality in Samsung products.

Great Dryer 4 years later !
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this dryer for more than 4 years and 4 years later I am still not disappointed one bit. This dryer is key to any home! I personally do use the many features and only use the basic features but it does the job wonderfully. Dries my clothes fully in one cycle. I love the automatic feature where it will detect the clothes and stop when fully dried. I also have the washer that goes with this and the set will not disappoint!

Disappointed

Dryer also needed multiple cycles to dry clothes. Wasn’t an install issue or dryer vent issue(ran a new vent). Maybe I just received a defective item.

Disappointing

Dangerous

Luckily I bought the extended warranty.

DO NOT BUY THIS SET

I use these machines more every time I wash to hope it gets the job done and I’m just so disappointed in them. I put my king size comforter in the air to dry in the machine senses that it’s dry on the outside but the inside of my comforter is completely wet still I have to keep putting it to a timed dry because if not the machine notices that it’s dry on the outer layer of the comforter and that’s just one of the problems with his machine please don’t buy this you will regret it

After the warranty is gone they stop working

I dont think i will ever buy any samsung appliance again. They just dont seem to last and when something starts going wrong with them you, they have no idea how to fix them other than throw enough money at it that you might as well buy a new one.

Broke less and 90 days. No Heat. Wish it worked M.

No heat and makes a rattle when run on air fluff. It’s unfortunate because when it worked I loved it. I especially loved the steam cycle but unfortunately it no longer works. Further Samsung scheduled a time for repair and never showed. Honestly hard for me to recommend a Samsung ever again.

Can I give it Zero stars?

Just over a year old and the motor died. $450 repair. The first one we got lasted less than a week and was replaced by Best buy. Trust the negative reviews, I should have!

Does not dry

Clothes don’t dry

The customer service at Samsun AND Best Buy is AWFUL. I spent close to $1000 on this dryer and it DRYS 8 TOWELS IN 5 HOURS!!!!! If you have time to spend 5 hours a day waiting on your clothes to dry and another 3 hours waiting on hold for Samsung and bestbuy, then go ahead and purchase this product.
