    Samsung Dryer

    I loved this set, however, my drum busted after 6 years, one year after the warranty. No, idea what happened. Wish it would have lasted longer. It is now off to the side until i can get it looked at.

    Worked for 2 days

    The dryer was working fine for 2 days now. Today I put in a pillow (not big at all) and the dryer will not complete a load at all. I've tried every setting, it works for literally 5-7 minutes and then the song sings indicating the load is done, and the timer reads "0." I do not understand how a pillow could have that much of an impact, or maybe its a faulty product... So sad because I loved the set!!!

    Inconsistent!! Made of plastic!!

    I’ve had my washer for 3 years now. With each year, it becomes more and more inconsistent. It does my washing ok but I have to check each load after the barrel fills with water. No matter what setting I put it on ie Normal, the water level is inconsistent. Either hardly any or waaaay too much for the size of the load. Most times it’s hardly any. Thankfully, I have a sink next to my washer so I add enough water to allow the clothes to move easily during the wash. The water temp is inconsistent. I set it for hot and it comes out warm. I set it for warm and it comes out cool. We have checked the water faucets to the washer and they are good. We’ve had to have the lid replaced because it broke at the hinge. Its 100% plastic. No clue how it happened. Geek Squad repair guy couldn’t explain it either. About a month ago, the barrel started squeezing as it rotates back and forth during agitation. Yesterday, I found another crack just under the control panel. I don’t have time to babysit my practically brand new washer with each load!

    Bought this model new in 2015. 12 month manufacturers warrranty. On month 14 was the first breakdown of the idler pulley. Since I have replaced it 4 additional times. I have 2 idler pulleys on hand at all times because this is a piece of kindergarten engineering. Next failure was the motor itself, followed 2 months later by the heating element, then a drum roller. The only two organs inside this beast that I have not had to transplant are the drum itself , (which a google search will tell you is probably next to go), and the motherboard which has its share of problems. I have honestly dismantled this unit so many times, I believe I could do it blindfolded. While my appliance guy says that they are all junk and will break down often, I feel that Samsung products are complete garbage. I’ve owned the unit about 40 months and it’s broken down 8 times. That’s an average run time of 5 months between breakdowns. Deduct the 12 month warranty period and it’s an average of 3.7 months between breakdowns. If you are a gear head that likes working on things, this unit is for you!

    Problems after only 2 1/2 years.

    We purchased a Samsung dryer 2 1/2 years ago, and it already is giving us trouble. The dryer drum continues to operate even after the clothes are dry and the chime rings. Although it still dries the clothes, we can’t leave the house while it’s running. We would not recommend Samsung.

    Zero stars! DO NOT BUY!

    I bought this washer and dryer set and had it delivered yesterday as soon as it was installed I washed a load and put it in the dryer and the dryer didn’t work!! Does not heat up, took four hours spinning cold air to dry the load I had already washed. And yes I checked that everything was properly installed that the gas was on and everything was in place. The machine is defective. Best Buy does not answer, I’ve waited on hold for as long as two hours to get connected to someone and no answer. This is the worst online purchase experience I’ve ever had! Safe your self a nightmare and headaches and do not buy this item they come defective and Best Buy does not urge to help its customers. And also consider Samsung only offers a one year warranty vs other brands offer 10 yrs! I’m returning these as soon as I can get a hold of a customer service representative.

    This dryer is absolutely garbage....very first load was a heavy blanket and dryer cut iff after 4 mins. Had to continuously restart ....after 5x i took it out and put in next load... after load was done clothes still damp had tonrecycle 3x at high temp to dry....next load it took 4 recycles ro dry my clothes....i do not recommend this product to anybody....buyer beware...this dryer is complete trash!!!! Not to mention beat buy sucks and have had nothing but problems with delivery and etc with all appliances. ON THE OTHER HAND THE SAMSUNG WAS GREAT.

    Had to do two cycles to dry with the cycles on heavy duty. About 1.5 hours each. So 3 hours in total...not energy efficient at all! Still clothes came out very damp. And it was on the highest setting, wish I would’ve bought a different brand
