    My dryer is less than 4 years old. I only use it a few times each week. Now it only runs for a few seconds before giving an error code (HE) and shutting off. I am disappointed and expected a major appliance to last more than 3.5 to 4 years before requiring expensive service and/or replacement.

    So much wrong with this dryer.

    I created an account to write this review. I’ve had this washer for over two years. I bought it because I wanted the large capacity for king comforters and it seemed like a GREAT deal for the money (steam sanitize!!) but...I hate everything about it. There are only two settings that do not have Sensor Dry. The sensor does NOT work. If I use anything other than those two settings (which I want to use for the variety of heat settings!), the load is still damp or even wet when it shuts off. Which means I can’t use the steam sanitize, and I have to run my bulky comforter through FOUR times and check on it every hour. Even though it was a great deal, I’m really sad that I didn’t just spend an extra $100 on a dryer that I don’t have to tend to the whole time it’s running.

    Two years ..

    Was all it lasted before needing major repairs. The heater went out and now its almost $400 to fix. We bought it at Best Buy in May of 2018. Sorry would never buy Samsung appliances again. Spent WAY too much money for a dryer to last only 2 years. Don't say you weren't warned.

    Don't buy, as soon as your 3 year warranty ends the dryer will stop working. Talking to best buy will do no good. You'll have a better conversation talking to a brick wall.

    HATE THIS! HORRIBLE!

    Purchased this dryer along with the washer and it was delivered 12/16/19. 14 days later the washer kept throwing the error code 8C and kept restarting the same cycle over and over. I contacted Best Buy and they came and got it and brought a replacement. I was happy with that. Now I'm noticing the dryer is taking 2-3 cycles before our clothes are dry. I just ran it 3 times and our shirt and pants seams were still damp. I'm not happy with it at all but I'm not sure what's going to happen since we are out of the 15 day window. Stay tuned. Overall this set looks really nice but it's garbage. We had a Samsung set before this that was good but the dryer pulley went out after 4 years and then 6 months later it start making a loud noise so we sold them to get these ones. I think Samsung's quality is really on a downward trend.

    Heater Assembly

    Our heater assembly broke after two years. Almost $500 to replace with instillation. If you’re going to buy any Samsung products make sure you purchase The Geek Squad, you’ll need it!

    Save yourself the grief

    Purchased in 2019 with matching washer. Takes 4ever to dry... blankets etc. Plan on 2 1hour cycles. Stopped working in May of 2021, the repairman replaced pretty much everything. August of 2021 the washer went haywire, replaced motherboard etc... Luckily I had the extended warranty but that ended in May, its now October 1st. & the washer is not functioning properly again. Sometimes it will go in a wash cycle, never a rinse. They're just expensive junk. So disappointed in Samsung appliances.

      We suggest you calibrate to ensure accurate weight detection by the washer. Make sure the tub is empty before running calibration.

      1. Press Power to turn on the washer.
      2. Press and hold Temp. And Delay End simultaneously for 3 seconds.
      3. Press and hold Start/Pause (Hold to Start) to start calibration.
      - The tub rotates clockwise or counterclockwise for approximately 2 minutes.
      4. When complete, “0 ” appears on display, and the washer turns off automatically.

      Also, When you do laundry, you should consider the weight of each load you wash/dry to get the best results. Both heavy and light items can overload your washing machine and dryer. In addition to reducing the cleaning performance, overloading your washing machine or dryer can cause other problems. Thus, you'll need to add clothes and other items in the best way possible.       When clothes have burn marks, a possible cause is lack of airflow. To dry clothes, your dryer circulates heated air over damp laundry and vents the moist air from a duct in the back of the machine. If the dryer cannot discharge the hot air, the system may overheat, scorching your clothes and also may damage the heating element of the dryer.

      Make sure you're using the the right settings for the clothing you are drying. For instance, rayon or other synthetic fabrics on high heat could potentially burn.

    Dryer does not dry

    I will not recommend this to anyone. After 2months the dryer does not dry, and I have tried all the different ways to trouble shoot from the link they provide and nothing. I regret ever buying Samsung appliances

    Don’t buy Samsung

    Bought this washer dryer set 2 years ago. Had to have repairs on the washer in the first year while under warranty. Now, my dryer doesn’t work and it’s going to cost over $200 to fix. It’s not worth it.
