Awesome Dryer - Smart Home, Not So Much

Our king mattress pad fits, with room to spare ! The washer is VERY smart (tells you when to clean the tub). If you have the matching "family hub" fridge .. even alerts you there when the load is complete. But the dryer will not pair with the Samsung connected app. Tried support, but no luck. Documentation is even worse. So get the dryer, but not for the Smart Home features (there are still bugs)

Did I really buy a new dryer?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, brought washer dryer set, even though the dryer is suppose to be larger than washer drum, I suspect it to be smaller as the same amount of clothes taken out of washer seems to fill up dryer more. Did around five loads, bath towels keep coming out wet not dry through, tried all different drying options...so end up drying same load 2-3 times, other types of wash loads came out did not dry through too. Called Samsung, was told because I used dryer sheets, that the sheets rubbed against sensor causing it to believe items were dry. So use softer in washer without dryer sheets in dryer will correct problem. Nope didn’t fix problem, even suggestion of wiping off sensors with alcohol wipe to get dryer sheet excess resin off didn’t help too. So, now just running same loads a couple of times to get items throughly dry. Yes, even tried Lessing loads to avoid over cramming and give good spacing to allow fully drying...nope it doesn’t work. I think this dryer stress me out more than my old dryer... at least my loads dried one time and not twice or the third time.

I was able to get one from the outlet with very minimal damage (scratch on the blind side), but huge return. I will admit, that the system needs a slightly longer dry time than I am used to. I need an additional 10-15 minutes for the load than in my previous dryer. However, I love the load capacity and all of the features.

I love the new features, however I have a love/hate problem with the smart sense technology. On 1 hand I like the fact that the dryer senses if the clothes are dry and automatically stops the dryer thus saving energy. However when it comes to large bedding items, the sensing technology fails as it stops my load due to the sensors and then upon further inspection the bedding is completely wet on the inner areas. It can be very annoying when you constantly have to go back and forth to re-start the dryer. Thankfully found that If you do the timed dry setting and remove the eco option, your load can be done without interruptions.
