This dryer has been 'ok' so far. Although, it seems to have some issues as far as sensing how dry things are and it's seems to tangle ALOT of blankets while drying.

This dryer is awesome - our old dryer wouldn't dry our clothes anymore hence the purchase of this dryer. It literally dries every load in one load (with the exception of a queen sized down comforter which took a few times). I love it, it works fast and easy to use. Plus I love the little tune it plays when the cycle is complete.

Nice washer dry set. Quiet doesn't rattle around like others we have had. Seems to dry clothes in first run. Heavy blankets and towel have to get a second turn but no big deal. Over all great set.

I love this dryer! I have had it for a year and had no issues with it. My items come out dry 99% of the time. The only time I have to turn it on again is when I put through a large blanket that folds on itself and the center remains a little damp, but if I just pull it out and unwrap it for another round, it turns out perfect. This is such a time saver to not have to worry about wet clothing sitting in the dryer!

    Died after a year

Shortly a year after normal use (maximum 4 loads/ week) this dryer just stopped working. I believe that the belt is broken, but still, whatever the reason it died too soon! Not only that, I have always been disappointed about it not being able to dry bedding appropriately. It would come out as a big ball and the bedding would still be wet in the center. Very disappointed. @@@@@@@@ The washer also does not wash well unless you wash everything in the heavy duty cycle). Would not recommend.

This dryer is amazing! On sale, I paid just under $500 for it. It is amazing not because of this price, but because it stacks up against much more expensive dryers. Here's a quick snapshot of drying times: large load of towels - 42 mins; large load of work clothes - 30 mins; load of baby clothes - 25 mins; load of sheets & blankets - 40 mins; load of heavy comforters (can fit 2 queens) - 1 hr 20 mins. The preset features pretty much covers anything you could want to dry. The small load care feature ensures even the tiniest loads get dry, while the sensor dry actually works!! No more balled up sheets with the center still wet--this thing is amazing! It does not have a steamer function, but I would not likely use it anyway. Besides, the next model is almost double the price to get the steamer and it just isn't worth it. I highly recommend this dryer. I love it so much, I bought one for my grandma (she has no problems using it).

One of the great deal about this dryer is Sensor Dry. It adjusts the time based on the moisture. This reduces the normal run time by 10-15 minutes per cycle. Usually I put 45-60 minute in old dryers. This says 50 minutes when start, but middle of the load it adjusts the time. The con is comforter's won't dry properly. You got to put it in manual dry mode and add our own time. Nice design. So far it is running great. I purchased it on thanks giving week.

I've had this machine three days now and I'm real pleased. I've done a half dozen loads and I can say it's a pleasure to use. It thoroughly dries the clothes and all but 1 item have been wrinkle free. @@@@@@@@ The one wrinkled item was one pair of jeans in a big load; they recommend running jeans on a different setting; I'll try that. That being said, my other jeans came out wrinkle free on the "Normal" setting. @@@@@@@ My prior dryer (a Maytag - more than 10 years old) took a lot longer to dry clothes. Perhaps it's because the Samsung's drum is horizontal -- does that help dry the clothes faster? Whatever it's, it does the job, in a very reasonable amount of time (far faster than my old one! @@@@@@@ . Some loads are done in 44 or so minutes. Bulkier items (comforters, blankets) take a little over an hour. That's perfectly OK with me. I like, too, the glass window. You can visually see when the clothes are dry (plus my dog finds it fascinating! LOL). I do not find it any noisier than any other dryer; I've a laundry room and a little hum is to be expected. No biggie. So much faster and efficient than my last dryer I just wanted to post a review! @@@@@@@@ I used the reviews in making my purchase; I found them very helpful and so am returning the favor! @@@@@@@

I bought this dryer because it matched the washing machine I was needing to buy to replace a dying machine. I used to use my old dryer on one setting, Timed, and set it to 55 minutes, for everything. That worked fine for me. However, this new dryer uses sensors to determine how dry the clothes are, and stops when it feels they are done. So, again, I have been using this dryer on one setting as well, "Normal." With the matching washing machine, I wash five pairs of large jeans (38 x 34) at a time, the this dryer does a nice job of drying them. There is enough room in the drum to let them tumble and they dry enough, without being "cooked" by excessive time and heat. I have noticed that if you overload the dryer, and used the Normal setting, sometime the clothes can wad up and the stuff in the center will not be completely dry. Also, with big bulky items, like King size blankets or comforters, it is necessary to take them out and re-wad them, so they dry evenly. This isn't a failing of this machine though, since this is often required even at the laundromat. Note: Once the Normal cycle is finished, if you want to fluff your clothes again, because you have let them sit for a while, you will need to switch the dryer to "Wrinkle Release," since the sensors on Normal will "see" the clothes as dry already and stop. Wrinkle Release will run for 24 minutes, regardless. If I were to be overly critical, I find that the lint trap is fussy. I'm used to one that is flat, it pulls out and you gather the lint, then slide it back into place. This machine's trap isn't radically different, but it is a cage that folds over, kind of like a taco, and you have to undo the latch to open it up and remove the lint. This takes a bit of concentration and practice since the "taco" is always trying to close back up on itself. The other thing that I find just plain silly, is the song it plays when it is done with a drying cycle. Not only it is silly, but it goes on, and on and on. I guess it is much better than a harsh buzzer, like in days of old, and I know I saw something in the owners manual about changing it, but I have told it to shut up, more than once. Looking back, I have to admit, that if that is all I can complain about, the lint trap and the end signal, than I must be pretty happy with the way this dryer its functioning. And I'm.
