I compared prices across multiple stores and found Best Buy to offer the best pricing. I added delivery and had them take away the broken machine. The delivery team was fantastic and had things setup quickly. I added the washer and dryer to my wifi and now Alexa lets me know when my wash is finished. I also get a notification on my phone. Some people complain that the tune played when the cycle is complete is really long. I just turned it off because I get the notifications on the phone and announced in my living room via Alexa.

I put it on timed dry and thats it. When i tried the other settings it would say an amount of time but always stop b4 that. So im concerof a possible defe t.

And this new one has so many more features. I like how if you set it up to wifi it can notify you on your tv that the cycle has been completed.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought the washer and dryer as a set February of this year. The outer surface scratches SO EASILY. We have always set our laundry detergent, fabric softener, and scent beads on the top of the washer, given that we have limited space - and the bottom of the scent beads bottle scratched a circle into the top of the washer - which it has never done on any previous washer, and definitely did not occur because of force or harsh use. There are also scratches on the outer surface from delivery and set up (Best Buy provided these services). The dryer has basically stopped doing what it was designed to do. We like to have the setting on "Heavy Duty" and over the last week and a half it has stopped drying the clothes on that setting (or any other setting that is not "Time Dry"). It still heats, but the dryer can no longer sense if the clothes are wet, so it stops drying no more than five minutes after we start a load, leaving the clothes soaking wet - even with the dryness setting on highest/dryest setting possible. We have had this set since February 2024. It is May 2024. That's a whopping 3 months. We are now having to set it to "Time Dry" for as long as it will allow us to run it so that our clothes will dry. Also of note, this is our SECOND dryer since we purchased originally in February. The first dryer made an awful noise anytime we ran it. Best Buy ended up replacing the first one with this one - which is now no longer doing what it is designed to do. This is the second time I've purchased an LG washer and dryer set. I swore I would never buy another washer/dryer from them after the experience with my first set, but it had been years since that purchase and the reviews for this set were outstanding, so I thought maybe they had improved their quality/performance. I am currently on the phone with Best Buy scheduling a repair. We will never purchase this brand again.
