I love Samsung washers/dryers. I had a set in my home in CO and purchased another set for my new home in NC. I love that these connect to smart things and Alex. She'll tell me when the load is done and I get notifications on my phone.

The dryer is excellent, but I needed to be aware of the extra hidden cost of purchasing a gas dryer.

My okd one went out and this was a nice upgrade. It has AI that sensors whether the clothes are dry, well not that accurate with drying at times so i use "timed" to finsh off drying. Other than that its mich faster and thr lint catcher i like and when pulling it out of the tray it doesnt fly everywhere like my old one

it's working like a charm after having to hire an electrician to make the correct connection.

After using this dryer for about 2 months it developed a scraping noise this week and I reached out to Samsung support to notify them of the problem. They sent a "tech" out to fix the problem and he noticed a small 2 inch dent/mark on the rear right corner that happened during delivery. Although I noticed it when I removed the packing material, I didn't feel it was worth calling best buy to get a replacement as it would not and does not in any way affect the dryer's operation. The tech removed the top panel and front panel to investigate and we both noticed that the drum was only hitting the front side wall of the dryer at a certain spot on rotation and the drum had a slight wobble when rotating. He called Samsung support and sent them a picture of the dent and the area on the dryer where the drum rubs as it passes by. The support rep told him that since the dryer was damaged there would be no repair and the warranty is void. While the top was removed I pointed out that the drum didn't appear to be centered as there is more than an inch in clearance on the left side and less than a quarter inch on the right side where the rubbing occurs. The tech reassembled the dryer and left. Besides the obvious poor customer service, I will say that this is the second Samsung dryer we have owned and the first one lasted 15 years and was still funtioning when we decided to "upgrade" to this new and more expensive model. This dryer is very poorly constructed and it's easy to see that the quality of the parts they use now are inferior to what was used in the past. We will never purchase another Samsung product and we have always looked to them first in any purhase we are going to make. Shame!
