    I think it's a compromise between top quality and price. I don't think so much money should be spent on TV, at the same time my family did not want to go for old technology. So it was in between two extremes. We are enjoying . One thing, I found out later that with 70 inch tv you don't have too many choices in TV units. With 65 inch tv you can have lower price TV units. So we spent a lot of energy in finding it's relevant tv unit with fire place

    Major glitch in the newer samsung tvs. I had a samsung from 2016 until now with no issue. The newer models after doing research of the issue seem to have this issue where they turn off and restart with no connection to power and you have to connect to a device. They seem to have this issue with the directv box. Called samsung and they sent techs out to swap all the components after i swapped out my directv box and brand new hdmi cable. This took about 4 trips as they kept ordering different parts after no luck. Ended up being a waste of time. Samsung needs to figure out what it did wrong to cause this compatibility issue with directv. Its a major flaw. Hopefully not the same issue with other cable carriers. $1000 waster, wish i kept my old samsung and didint give it away.

      It’s unfortunate to hear you’re experiencing a power cycling issue, causing your TV to turn itself on and off repeatedly. Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:

      1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection. If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.

      2) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.

      3) If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.

      4) TVs which can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Connection > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.

    Great picture and sound quality. The tv remote is also amazing as it has a solar backing to charge the remote battery as well as it can be plugged in to charge. Has become my familys favorite tv and makes my in-laws jelouse. 10/10 highly recommend.
