Would be better if it had more than only 2 HDMI ports. Also previous Samsung TV had better control Settings - example the old Samsung had 3 programs for setting TV to go on and off at programmed times (great for house looking alive when on vacation)

This replaced a 7 year old 65”. I am cheap so I always buy the previous edition. My eyes aren’t good enough to see differences in pixels :-).

Picture it great, a lot of great smart apps to go with it. PS5 works great with it. Been very loyal to Samsung tv and with this price it was too hard to beat it.

Overall, I would expect any product from Samsung to perform better or equal to lesser known brands such as Onn or Insignia. Unfortunately, this is not the case with the particular model I bought. Pros: - Good picture quality - Decent sound - Large Size vs Price Cons: - Extremely slow user interface: browsing though the menu and apps such as Hulu or Netflix is very slow and unpleasant. (I've used cheap Chinese TV's that are more responsive than this model) - Auto plays Samsung TV when turned on. (Very annoying and there is no way to disable this feature) Side note: The laggy user interface can be fixed/bypassed by using a roku or amazon stick. But that kind of defeats the purpose of buying a "more expensive, well known" branded TV.

Thank you for your review of the TU6985 TV and sharing your experience with the speed of navigation and thoughts regarding Samsung TV Plus. Your feedback is important to us and will be shared with our product teams.
To optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
Please know, Samsung TV Plus can be disabled, removing the channels from your default guide. Should you want to disable TV plus, follow the steps below:
1) Navigate to the Samsung TV Plus app and press and hold the enter or select button on the remote. This will bring up two options. ‘Move’ and ‘Remove’.
2) Navigate to ‘Remove’ and select. This option brings up the ability to remove the app icon or disable the service.
3) Navigate to ‘Disable’ and select. This will remove the service from the launcher bar and the channels from the TV Guide.
Alternatively, you can leave TV Plus enabled and utilize the Autorun Last App feature to automatically start the last app you used once the TV is turned on. To enable this feature, follow the steps below:
1) Navigate to Settings > General > Smart Features > Autorun Smart Hub
2) Enable the Autorun Smart Hub feature
3) Navigate to Settings > General > Smart Features > Autorun Last App
4) Enable the Autorun Last App feature

Good TV with a slight issue for me

Only thing I don’t like is the auto dimming/sensor on the TV. It will change the brightness all the time. I have tried turning it off but it still does it. I have to click a button on the remote for it to go back to normal after it has auto dimmed to dark.

I wanted a tv where I could just use my Apple TV remote to run everything.

We got this for a Black Friday Deal which was a bargain at $600. The connectivity and apps work well with a wired connection. Have not tried with wireless.

It didn’t seem bigger than my 65 inch but once it was set up, I can see the difference. I just use the one remote instead of having to use three. It controls my sound bar and firestick

If casting is available on this tv I don't know how. I checked the manual and didn't find anything. For the price I don't know how you would do better. I use my PS3 and or PS4 for blu-ray disc. I don't have a 4k player but it looks amazing.

For the price, great build quality and slim design. Small remote is overly crowded and not backlit, making it difficult to navigate intuitively.

We bought a 55 inch 2 years ago and decided to swap that to the bedroom and upgrade a bit larger and DEF don't regret it! The home menu loads fast to.
