    Amazing machine!

This TV is stunning, from the vibrant colors to the amazing amenities and features. We walked into the store and were sold the moment we saw the picture clarity and size. It's everything you can ask for, and more. The one thing buyers should beware of is UHD 2160p is an extremely new technology. TV brands are starting to adapt this technology, however TV service providers and the majority of channels haven't yet. When we bought this TV, I was under the assumption we could just plug it in and immediately start watching ESPN, CNN, ABC, etc. in Ultra HD. I was wrong. DIRECTV is the first service provider to offer services in UHD, however currently they only have one channel which broadcasts in UHD. All their PPV channels are offered in 2160p as well, but that's about it. ESPN, CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX, etc should start broadcasting in 2160p hopefully in the next 6 months to a year (at least that's what the gentleman told me at DIRECTV). What you will notice is a slight improvement in the 1080p picture quality. A good analogy would be this: You remember several years ago when we upgraded our TV's from TUBE and projection to LEDs, LCDs, Plasmas, etc. Watching standard definition on a HDTV was slightly better than standard definition on a Tube or projection. You'll notice that slight change in picture quality when you watch HD channels on your UHD TV as well! Another good thing is APPS such as Netflix and Youtube do offer picture in 2160p, so at least you can get a glimpse of what regular TV will look like in the near future while watching your shows on Netflix! Since this TV was built about a year ago, you must go to the Samsung website and download the latest firmware update. I've noticed buyers complaining about connectivity issues to the internet and accessing Netflix. The most recent update will solve all these issues. Overall this TV is amazing, and is way ahead of it's time (a little too ahead unfortunately). However, once TV service providers and channels start broadcasting in UHD, you'll reap the full benefits of this TV and it'll be worth every penny. Patience is a virtue!

    Great TV!

I picked up the UN75JU7100 TV during father's day weekend and it is a great TV. The size is obviously very big but the quality of the picture is what makes it great. The upscaling of HD CATV is better than expected, the colors and blacks are very good, and the ability to look great in a bright room or later at night in a dark room is really good as well. I also watched some 4K content and the picture is by far the best I've ever seen. The clarify is unbelievable. There's also a few nice little features that make you appreciate the TV as well. For instance when I turn on my PS4 the TV source auto switches to the proper HDMI port and the TV turns game mode on. Similarly, when I turn the PS4 off the TV goes back to the CATV HDMI port and the game mode is switched back to off.

We paid way too much for this TV for it to not function well. The apps freeze or flat out don't work. After about 3 years lines started forming from the top of the screen. Faint at first, but then got more noticeable and now are very noticeable. There's also a dark spot that's formed on the left side of the screen.

Had this tv for 4 years and it didn’t get a whole lot of use during that time. Very disappointing for it to Last only 4 years for a very expensive tv at that time. Won’t buy a Samsung again. I bought a Sony this time to replace it.

Initially, I was looking to buy a 1080 75" Samsung, but found out it was discontinued. After the disappointment, I was directed towards a Sony. The Sony was not up to par. Mainly the motion blur was the deal breaker. I watch a lot of sports and after doing research, the Samsung was one of the best choices. Not to mention, with this set you're also getting 3D and 4k. The only negative to this TV is the price...but you get what you pay for. The stand is a little weird looking at first, but after a while it looks just fine. I will say...Samsung didn't cheap out on the stand, it's very heavy duty. The separate box to plug in your hdmi's is actually better. It helps hide all the cords, and helps from cables getting bent. I've read of some people complaining about the remote...I agree it's a simple design, but in no way is it a deal breaker. Another note...I read of having to go to Samsung's website to update firmware, I haven't needed to do that, maybe it has been fixed. Overall, if you can handle the price tag...you'll have zero regrets about buying this!

    Simply amazing picture/TV

We had been shopping for a 75-80 inch TV for several months and did a lot of research. Based on that, we ended up buying the Samsung UN75JU7100FXZA. The picture quality is the best of any I have seen and it does a truly amazing job of upscaling most HD programs (our source is Time Warner Cable which has a very good signal in our area). We could have gone for the less expense Samsung 75" 4K, but its motion rate is only 120 compared to 240 for this model, and that makes a huge difference especially when watching action movies and sports. There was some lag while watching tennis, but not bad. Watching baseball, you can see the stitches on the ball. You really feel like you're in the stadium ... but with a better view. The remote is kind of funky and takes some getting used to, but overall, it is functional (though I will likely purchase a Logitech Harmony just for the convenience). The sound from this TV is better than I expected, but you will likely want a separate theater surround sound system. One disappointment is the "full web browser." In reality, it is very limited. I sometimes like to stream newscasts from TV stations around the country (as you can do on a computer or iPad), but the processor in this TV does not allow for such streaming. For most people it is likely not a big deal, but if you are expecting to be able to stream video from any web site other than those included with the apps loaded onto the TV, you likely won't be able to.

    Overall Excellent

I first bought the LG 70UF7700 4k 70" but returned it because it did not have the color or the zoom features that I wanted. I did a lot research on Consumer Reports, CNet and reviews on Best Buy that purchased the 75" 4k UN75JU7100FXZA. What an amazing difference not only in the picture quality but the colors, and features. It has two different zoom features that allow you fill the screen or customize it to your liking. Something I really like because I do not always want the fixed zoom as it somewhat makes the characters appear to large. The menu allow you to easily navigate through all the other features. I hooked up my LG soundbar with optical cable with no problem and it gives me some dynamic viewing and sound. Overall very happy with this purchase and look to keep and enjoy this Television for some time.

Excellent Samsung big screen 4K 3D TV

This TV has a great picture and as a bonus the Tizen OS is very quick and stable for using 4K apps like Netflix, Amazon and YouTube. The new Apple TV is a pleasure to use on this giant screen at our 15 foot viewing distance in the family room. Text is easy to read on screen. The $20 Samsung 3D glasses work great although none are included. The TV is excellent for viewing movies in a dark room, just go find the settings on Cnet or Rtings.com and adjust the movie picture mode when you first get the TV. Coming from an edge lit LG 55LW5600, the blacks on this direct back lit TV are inky and huge step forward in picture quality. There is zero flashlighting from the corners of the screen. Watching the NFL playoffs on this team has been a pleasure. I definitely wanted to bump up the size from the 55 inch and the 75 inch was the right choice. The bezels are slim and the TV does not dominate the room. For the features including picture quality, screen size, 4K and 3D this is the best TV for the price and it is a Samsung.

This tv is incredible. The picture is the clearest that I have ever seen. Bought a matching sound bar and blue ray player. I will get the new uhd players when they come out. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I haven't owned it long enough to see how long before a problem occurs. For this money it better last a very long time. Really, so far so very good.

I bought this tv to replace my 65" unc8000 series Samsung I purchase over 7 years ago, which, by the way still looks great, but this one far exceeded my expectations in picture quality and overall features. I didn't think that the picture quality from my old one couldn't get any better. Boy was I wrong! Very happy with my purchase, especially considering that this one cost less than my 65" when I bought it.

Great unit, 120 refresh is more than enough

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

If your not into 3D and you want to save $1000 and the 120 refresh rate will save you another $1000 over the 240 refresh rate (the human eye can't see much over 60 frames per second so 120 is more than fast enough). This TV at $2000,00 less than the next level up TV has the same picture as the more expensive one. Save the $2,000. It came with Geek Squad installation for free and they did a fantastic job mounting a 75 inch TV 7 feet off the floor. I'm very happy with the TV and the service!! THANKS

    Overall good value

Overall this is a great TV. The picture quality is amazing, and the Samsung Smarthub is great. In the past I've used a Roku or Xbox One to access smart TV apps, but with this TV I prefer the Smarthub. My biggest concern/complaint about TV is the Mini Connect feature. In general I think it's a cool idea to use an external box for all of your inputs, but if you mount this TV above your fireplace (like I did) the Mini Connect is a nightmare. It comes with a 6 foot cord, and it is impossible to find one longer than that. I was told to search websites in Europe for a version not made by Samsung, but that's risky. If Samsung would make a box with a 12 foot cord or higher, it would be incredible.

Bought the 75 inch TV for movies and sports but find I even enjoy watching regular TV and commercials on it. The setup was so easy, the stand is very sturdy and attractive and the picture is so sharp, bright and clear! This set is truly an upgrade over any TV I've owned. Have only had it a week but so far I'm extremely pleased.

Not very happy with the bugs in this tv

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've had this tv over 6 months now and there are a couple of bugs that drive me crazy. For some reason, most of the time when it's turned on it exhibits motion smoothing which looks horrible to me. I have all of this disabled in the menus however its clearly there. The only solution is to shut the tv off and turn it back on and then it's gone. The other issue is that when using the exlink port on the back for serial rs-232 control it will just stop responding at times for no apparent reason. This requires you to shut the tv off with a remote which defeats the purpose of home automation. This is not acceptable for a $4500 tv. The picture quality is pretty good, can't complain there. Coming from a plasma i can tell you the black levels could be better but that's typical for LED.

Too much expensive for the quality

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I expected little more performance for the price I paid. Too much expensive by comparing with other competitive models and quality is not up to the level. Cons: The TV did not meet the quality that expected for the price. It likes to change the channel by itself to blue-ray player while viewing Netflix/Amazon prime/U-tube videos. Wireless internet connection disconnects often, which I never experienced with the the 55" VISIO 4K TV I own. As for fast moving scenes my 55" VISIO 4K TV is comparatively better. Pros: Picture quality is very good for slow moving screens. Quality of 3D display / 3D movie viewing experience is good. I like the smart remote when it works. I would not recommend to a friend for the price.
