I gave it a chance. Well, 10 minutes in trying to set this thing up with the terrible, not user friendly, slow, interface. I had a big 5” wide black line show up. And i agree, the remote is total garbage. I am having this picked up and an LG QLED 83 series delivered. My current 7 year old LG is still as good as new.

TV screen went black

In about an hour the screen was 3/4 black. There was nothing Best Buy could do for us. We are trying to see if Samsung will honor the warranty even though it’s past the 1 yr warranty. No TV should crap out that fast.

Employee told us this was a mid-range set. Stupid me, took his word for it (we were in a hurry). Got it home, if it’s 1080p, it’s barely 1080p. Horrible online reviews, not reall HDR. Not a crisp clear picture. In really dark scenes, you see lots of pixelation (blocks or squares in the color). Very disappointed. I expected more from a $1,000 set. Might be ok in a completely dark room with no windows, glare is horrible because it doesn’t get very bright. My DLP from 2008 has a better picture. It’s great that it loads up all the apps from your Samsung account. Remote is bare bones.

Please try the following troubleshooting tips to improve your TV experience.
Your TV detects HDR automatically when streaming native content like apps. When connecting an external device like your Blu-ray player, you will need to enable Input Signal Plus. You can turn this on by going to Settings > General > External Device Manager > Input Signal Plus and turn it on for the HDMI port you connected your device to.
When an HDR source is playing, it will display an HDR logo next to the picture mode icon of the picture mode you are currently in.
If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.
Dynamic Picture Mode will make pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to: Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic
Or manually adjust the Brightness, Contrast, and more. Press the HOME button on your remote, then navigate to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings
You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to: Settings > General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode
Ambient Light Detection will also automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV according to the ambient light level to reduce power consumption. If Ambient Light Detection has adjusted the screen brightness to a too bright or dark level, you can select Minimum Brightness to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. Go to: Settings > General > Eco Solution > Ambient Light Detection
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV: Settings > Support > Software Update.
