      Hi Calebjpj,

We appreciate your feedback on the DU6900 TV screen. I have a few recommendations which may resolve any image issues you are seeing.

First, let’s ensure you are running the latest Firmware Update. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.

Next, If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.

Or you can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings.

I also recommend running a picture test to determine if the TV causes the problem. Picture Test displays a high-definition picture you can examine for flaws or faults. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test.

If you believe the screen has defects, please reach out to us so we can schedule a warranty appointment. You can call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

Amazing Picture and Design, but Needs a Few Upgrad

I recently got the 75” Samsung TV, and it’s a mixed bag of pros and cons. On the positive side, the picture quality is absolutely stunning—sharp, vibrant, and immersive. The ultra-thin design is a major plus too, adding a sleek, modern touch to my living room. That said, there are a few areas where this TV falls short. The remote doesn’t have voice control, which makes searching for shows tedious since I have to type everything manually. The app selection is also limited, so I had to purchase an Amazon Fire Stick to access basic apps that aren’t built into the TV. Additionally, the sound quality isn’t great. It doesn’t get very loud, and the audio lacks the depth I’d expect for such a high-end TV. I ended up buying a soundbar just to get that full, cinematic experience when watching movies. Overall, it’s a gorgeous TV with excellent picture quality, but the lack of voice features, limited apps, and weak sound keep it from being truly exceptional.

      Jameeka,

Thank you for sharing your experience with the DU6900 TV! Your feedback is important to us and will be shared with our product teams.

Please know that you can download additional apps that are not pre-programmed into the TV.
      1. From the Home screen, navigate to Apps and then select the desired app.
      2. You can also select Search on the left side of the screen to search for a specific app if you can’t find the app you want. Enter the name of the app you’d like to search for, then select it when it appears.
      3. Select Install. When the installation is complete, the Open menu appears.
      4. Select Open to run the app immediately.

You can also adjust sound settings by going to Settings> All Settings> Sound, but pairing your TV with a soundbar is also a great way to elevate your viewing experience.

I hope these tips help you enjoy your new TV. You can contact us for further help at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

It’s an okay tv, the picture is good. It’s not very user friendly. I can’t even get on to streaming stuff because it says it’s under maintenance and unable to complete. And the sound isn’t the best.

You cannot change picture size settings

I really like the size and i really like the quality. Customer service was great and they answered my questions. Something that really doesnt sit right with me in the incapability of changing the picture size settings to my liking for streaming services. Though it was explained that the picture size settings are set by the streaming services, it is frustrating that this setting is not built into the tv's direct settings. This takes away the option to customize my picture settings for full utilization of the screen such as watching movies on prime. It is frustrating to know that we are dishing out so much money for services and cannot change the settings to our liking. I hate the black bars for movies and i hate that i cant use the 12 inches of extra space on the tv. Love the tv, hate the settings.

      Hi EmilyG,

We appreciate your feedback on the Samsung DU6900 TV. As you mentioned the picture size settings are often set by the streaming service.

When not in those specific apps, you can get the image to fill the screen by adjusting the aspect ratio. Go to Home > Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Size Settings > Picture Size.
