Not the best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this thinking it will do real ultra hdr with my Xbox one s well I was so very wrong , apparently if you have a Xbox and PS4 and hook them up to a multi connecter so you don't have to switch all the time it makes the hdr not work. Plus it also says it's not real hdr this is not me saying it the Xbox screen pops up this when I put in a ultra 4K hdr movie I'd buy a different tv if I had the chance

The MU8000 does feature HDR Premium Technology, which dramatically brightens every image and enhances contrast to reveal subtle details in your viewing content.
Please try to connect your XBOX One S via HDMI cable directly to the TV's OneConnect box, and turn on the HDMI UHD color in the menu.

Buyer beware...

It was a beautiful picture. Amazing. About 1.5 yrs in, I noticed black streaking. Samsung said they "fixed it". Shortly after the warranty expired, the black streaks came back but way worse. My tv is unwatchable and samsung is unresponsive. I have so many Samsung products and this is such a disappoint and waste of money. Do yourself a favor, Google the model #, you will see all the thousands of disappointed customers.

Not a long screen life

By the 2nd year, the screen started showing smudges/ dark spots on the screen. Did not purchase warranty expecting a longer screen life considering what I paid for it. Really disappointed.

Still questions

I have three other tvs and all are instant on. Also this is my second Samsung as the first had issues with pausing and sound dropping. I wish I could say Im blown away but I'm not.

Samsung eventually refunded me my money after multiple failed panels. P.S. their repair center they used for repairs was awful and would not recommend them to my worst enemy. If you are thinking I’m a one off, well, think again. My buddy had the same tv same banding issues and same experience with the repair team and they were not affiliated with Best Buy. But Best Buy warranty so you don’t want to deal with Samsung it was a horrible experience with HOURRRRSSS of time on the phone wasted multiple appointments and lots of stress and frustration

Nice picture

I contacted Samsung and a technician came to my house and replaced the entire screen and board. It was covered under warranty and so far the TV is working again.

Not really a 8000 series

I did not look at this in the store before purchase. I figure a 8 seriously es is a 8 series. My list of gripes are: -Picture not even close to my other 8000’s -bezel thicker than other 8000’s -fatter then my other 8000’s -no light up logo like my other 8000’s -bezel is a cheap brushed silver It’s almost like a 6 or 7 series, no where worth the price I paid for it. I did return it and went with a q7 Save your money on this and get a 7 series or up to the q7 series. This is the most disappointing purchase I have made in a long time.

Wrong internet cable
