Entire screen flashes- LED clear motion
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I bought this tv a year ago. And under a year mark I bought it, the tv has issues with a setting LED clear motion when the HDR is turned on. The entire screen goes into a flashing all over. I contacted Geek Squad and they have been trying to fix it. They have replaced the main circuit board and power supply and it went back to flashing again. They came out again and now want to replace a smaller board that sends the information to the backlight part of the screen. Geek Squad has been great but now I feel like my entire tv, expensive and less than a year old when it began, will be a refurbished tv. I just reached out to Samsung site on the chat was told it happens and good luck!! I love Samsung tv's but now I feel like I should be concerned about my tv in the long run. If you have this tv check this setting!!

Bigger isn’t always better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV because I had read a lot of reviews about how amazing the picture quality is. Perhaps there are some models of this TV whose picture quality is astounding, but unfortunately I did not get one of those. My TV had really bad clouding and dirty screen effect, especially during scenes with fast motion. Most noticeable when looking at lighter color backgrounds. Make sure you log into YouTube and test out your TV to ensure good color uniformity. Luckily Best Buy‘s return policy allowed me to swap this TV out for a different one. I ended up going with an LG OLED. It was actually slightly less expensive, and LG’s picture quality cannot be beat.

Open box purchase did not work out. Item returned.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an open box purchase. Apparently it had been returned by another customer and with good reason as I discovered. Colors were off and extremely saturated with little room for adjustment e.g. yellow was everywhere overdone. Poor picture quality. Returned it for a new 4K Sony Bravia 75" LED which looks great.

4/3/19 DONT BUY THIS! SAMSUNG LOST FORMAT WAR!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4/3/19 Samsung HDR10+ has no content and is dead. They just stopped making HDR10+ Blue Ray players because they know it. GIVE US DOLBY VISION firmware updates!!! Samsung you have a chance to do the right thing and provide Dolby Vision firmware upgrades to the millions that will be VERY MAD if you do not. Like me.

Brilliant!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung has done it again! This 75 inch is just what the doctor ordered for 50th Bday. Awesome color, great contrast and just superb picture quality. You know that commercial with the guys staring at the Samsung TV on the wall? You will know how that feels. For video gaming, nothing beats Samsung. My PS4 Pro flies on this TV. If you are a gamer, QLED is the way to go. No BURN IN is possible like on OLED TVs. LG doesn't even warranty it. As far as Ultra 4k discs on this model, you haven't watched a movie until you have watched it on the TV. The level of detail is amazing. This TV is the next step down from the Samsung Q9F model, but you cant tell the difference. Actually i think its better and more value for the price of the TV. We also got a Samsung 4K Blu-Ray player and new HDMI cables to go with it and i personally recommend that you upgrade your cables if you purchase this awesome TV. Correction: this is NOT a TV, it is an ENTERTAINMENT CENTER for your eyes! Get the extended warranty as well so you know that this TV will last until Samsung's next breakthrough in technology. 8K anyone??? Oh yeah...Samsung already has it. Martin, who is a Team Leader at the Best Buy store in Margate, FL, told us everything we need to know and was awesome in all that he did. In closing, you cannot miss out on this work of art that Samsung has provided! Once you get this TV, you will never be able to watch any program the same way again!

too smart for its own good.

Happier with this tv than the Sony XBR900F
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought this tv after returning the Sony XBR900F. Immediately I noticed the better colors on this tv compared to the Sony, not to mention the better sound quality. Setting up this tv was quick. The remote control is awesome. It has way less buttons than the Sony tv's remote and yet the Samsung's remote has more functions and responds faster. I connected the xfinity top box to it and immediately the remote synced to xfinity's platform. After looking for the xfinity stream app online I was able to download it to the tv. It took a little research to find the app but, if you google it you will find it on the xfinity website. Once I downloaded the app, I was able to stream all of my xfinity channels. This was awesome! I was able to cancel the use of a xfinity top box and no longer pay the monthly fee for it! The remote works great with the xfinity app. The one negative I noticed about the xfinity app is that it gives you an error code when you try to use the app again after turning off the television. I deleted the app and downloaded it again and it worked just fine. It took a few seconds to do this. So far I am loving this tv. I love the tv for its picture and sound quality. The remote and xfinity application were a pleasant surprise as well. Compared to the Sony XBR900f, I prefer this tv hands down due to its picture quality, sound quality, remote control, and applications. Sony's remote control looks very dated (big, clunky, with too many buttons). You can't download the xfinity app on the Sony. I also have a LG OLED 77G7P. Compared to the LG, the LG has a better picture than the Samsung. However, I spent a lot more money on the LG than I did on the Samsung. The one thing I like better on the Samsung is that it is more user friendly. Also, the remote control and app selection is better on the Samsung. I would recommend this tv over the similar Sony models. You will be happy with how efficient the remote control is with the tv and other applications.

Not happy with sports on this tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the 75 Q8FN and chose it over the 75 Sony X900f for the contrast and saturated (probably over saturated) colors. The x900F has a super laggy and subpar UI and menu system and the Samsung really shines there. I am annoyed by how motion from an angle looks on this tv. I am speaking directly about large panning scenes with uniform colored backround...I.E. Soccer, football, hockey. I can see banding or dirty screen effect or whatever you call it. It's somewhat annoying because I watch a lot at an angle and alot of sports. I got a 75" because of the room size otherwise I would have gone OLED (but burn in too). I'm afraid to go through the hassle to return the Q8 for the x900F for the fear that I will regret it because 80% of the time this tv is the greatest thing I've ever seen haha. Nothing is perfect I guess.

Samsung says replace it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Less than 6 years old and the sound from the built in speakers is very quiet, compressed, and distorted. Samsung help center suggests it's not worth fixing. I really expected a few more years from a $3K TV. Prior to this I had a 65" Samsung 3D plasma TV that displayed bright purple bands on the screen over white making it unwatchable. At least we got 7 years out of that purchase. I will be following Samsung's suggestion and replace my QN75Q8 with something built by someone else. FWIW, the picture quality is outstanding.

Very happy with this television!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a Sony x850f before this one and was very unhappy with it. Took it back and exchanged it for this one, WOW...what a difference!! Did some picture settings on my own and really got the picture to Pop! The 75in is the perfect size. I really like the remote. I’m able to control my cable box, Apple TV, Zvox soundbar, and Blu-ray player all with the one tiny remote control.

Great TV, but....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned several Samsung TV's over the years and this one as far as the picture goes is by far the best. You will need to ensure you familiarize yourself with picture settings as you will need to make various adjustments dependent upon content. In example, regular cable TV shows will require you to disable the motion plus settings to eliminate screen gutter etc... Paired with a 4K Blue Ray player, the screen is amazing. The biggest flaw and complaint I have is this, you can no longer turn off the TV speakers.... Why would they remove that feature?!?!?!? So now, if you pause the TV for any length of time, the sound bar disconnects and the TV speakers come back on when you resume your program. Seriously? I had the Squad out, and know one can seem to eliminate this issue. So if you pause a movie, keep your remotes handy to re-configure your TV/Sound bar Settings. Yes, I have a Samsung, Harmon/Kardon Sound bar which sounds great, but the TV and the sound bar do not seem to get along... I have tried everything to eliminate this, I have the optic cable running to the sound bar installed in the wall, I have tried it wireless, nothing works and that is the only reason I am giving 4 stars. Visually it is a masterpiece, from an audio standpoint, it is horrible...
