Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 3 year old 8500 TV broke. Best Buy gave me a Q7 65" to replace the 65" 8500. I thought it looked smaller. I traded that in on a Q8 75". OMG, the Q7 was awesome (had it for 10 days). The Q8 arrived today.....OMG it is in another category. The wife usually say, it's ok. Well, she is like amazed how bright and detailed this TV is. BTW, I had to pay the difference between the TV's.

Samsung TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GreT quality picture. Biggest disappointment is the TV only lasted 4 years. Warranty through Best Buy was a little disappointing: had to wait 3 weeks for Best Buy to order parts, service tech cracked case on TV while taking back off. Yhen they realized tge TV was blown up Then I had to wait 3 -4 more weeks to get a nee tv. Best buy just replace the tv.

Great picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great color (turn down the saturation), clarity, & brightness. However, drop the quality of the content (some, not all, major network shows e.g Sports etc.) and it shows its flaws; color banding (how it handles color gradients) and motion judder while camera pans across a scene or a person/object moves across the screen. I purchased this TV on February 2, 2019. I will be returning it, as the jutter on the motion with this tv is horrible, going with our first pick a Sony. Very disappointed with this purchase.

Posted .Estrada4112,
I am sorry to see that you are not happy with the motion image performance of your Samsung Q8F TV.
If you have already returned your unit, please accept our apology for the disappointing experience.
If you have not returned it, please do try Auto Motion Plus, a feature designed to eliminate blur and judder, specifically in fast moving images. It does so by taking a 30-fps signal and adding in additional frames to help smooth out any blur or judder between frames.
Here is the step-by-step guide to change Auto Motion Plus settings:
1) With the TV powered on, press the Home button on the Samsung remote to open the Home screen
2) Then select Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Auto Motion Plus
3) Then you will see the following three options:
a) Off: Auto Motion Plus will always be off
b) Auto: Auto Motion Plus will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched
c) Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used
4) By selecting the Custom option, you can access these advanced settings:
a) Blur Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Blur setting
b) Judder Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Judder setting
c) LED Clear Motion: Select to turn On/Off
I hope this adjustment helps to improve your experience.

Mostly Good...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received my 75" Samsung Q8fn the first time 6 weeks ago. I was happy with most of it's features and picture quality is very good when fed a perfect 4K source. The less than stellar processing, and poor upscaling caused me to trade it a week later for a Sony 900f. This tv has a slightly better processor, and much better upscaling, but it couldn't keep up with the deep blacks, and array of colors that the q8 had. A week later I trade it in for another q8. I'm not happy with some of the processing quirks, and really dislike the upscaling...alot. but there are really no other options under $7000 sooo...

Piece of Junk with zero durability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe I was just not lucky. I bought this product in mid 2018 for almost $5k and it broke early 2021. I made several attempts to reach Samsung but no help. I don’t want to write a long story but trust me that TV I bought is now a piece of junk. I’m trying Sony to see how it goes.

Great for movies/games, bad for TV.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I put this as a comment to someone else's review, but decided it should be it's own review. I ended up returning this TV because it did terrible job of displaying standard cable HD content (verizon fios in my case). For movies and games it was great (unless you took a step to the right or left...but I was aware of viewing angle issues going in). But while watching regular TV (which is 90% of my usage), it looked terrible. People's faces were blurry one minute, and looked fine the next. Sports programming was a mess. Overall it just looked like it was no longer displaying HD content. I had a Sony 4k HDR tv before this an never had any issues. I replaced this with LG 65 C8 OLED, and regular tv watching was excellent. I don't know what the issue was, but I tried tinkering with all settings on the tv and my cable box. Clearly the problem was with the tv since two other tvs did not have any problems with regular tv. It was very disappointing. I really wanted to like the tv, but just couldn't get past the picture for tv watching.

Loved the tv, BUT...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV, picture is fantastic once you tweak a few settings. I had bought this TV just before Christmas, everything was great until tonight. Suddenly just started turning on and off. Called Samsung Support, mentioned "power issue" to the voice prompt, when I got the Indian gentlemen on the phone, his first words were "so your television is turning on and off randomly". That tipped me of that this is not the first time he's heard of this.. So someone from Samsung repair will contact me in "a couple of days" I imagine they will have to order a part. Probably will just have a $3k paperweight for the Superbowl. Still within my 45 day return, I probably should just return it. I can't even leave it plugged in right now, it keeps going on and off. I would have expected more than 5 weeks without a major hardware failure. Buyer beware, I suppose

Black Horizontal Line-Be Aware!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this TV December of 2018 (4 years) for $3500. Just the other day the TV developed a black horizontal line. While not huge, it is very noticeable and takes away from the enjoyment of watching the TV. Cost versus time used, this TV isn't worth it. Will be purchasing a new TV to replace this one and it won't be a Samsung. Thinking its time for an LG!

SAMSUNG QLED TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can’t believe that I spent close to $4k, and this TV only lasted 3.5 years! It kept powering off. We had a tech from Samsung come out and it took him less than 5 minutes to tell us that this TV cannot be fixed. Unbelievable!

Don't buy a Samsung TV!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't buy any Samsung TV. They are junk. We had one that was 15 years old, left it with my house when we moved. The current one, a Samsung Q8F bought on August 31, 2018 at the Grand Junction, CO Best Buy (order # 1118243973527) at a cost of almost $3,000 quit working last night. 15 months of little use by two 60 year old people with no children. The TV is in a constant on/off cycle. A Google search revealed this is a well known problem. Of course at 15 months Samsung has excused themselves of any responsibility for their defectively manufactured product. While the TV might be able to be repaired, I refuse to waste any more money on Samsung junk.
