Bad TV

I had a samsung plasma 1080p for over 10 years and it was a much better TV than this one. I just bought this new one because I wanted a larger TV but I'm not sure if its specific to this model or just the way the new TVs are built but its awful! You are constantly going into the settings to change the picture mode, picture clarity option for every different program you are watching! Its either too bright with the dark colors then looking horrible, or the movie looks computer animated ( soap opera effect which then you have to change the picture clarity option but then the movie looks too dark and its real blurry when its showing a further out view in a scene, this was frusterating I couldn't watch it). And you have to constantly be playing going into the settings to change these for each different program you watch and its no guarantee that it even will work to make the program look watchable! Sometimes the picture looks great but it is so random and just seems to depend on the program you are watching. With my plasma I never had to go into the settings and the picture always looked natural with great colors regardless of which channel, streaming app, movie I was watching. Last night I watched the ncaa basketball tournament and after 10 minutes i had to quit watching the picture was so pixeled and blurry every time there was movement and the actual basketball looked like it was a computer animated fake basketball. I tried all the different settings and nothing worked. When I watch an NBA game though on TNT it looks great. I gave up. I have a hard wired internet connection too so its not my connection! The only good thing about the tv is the super slim design and I like the two separate legs instead of just one big stand/leg in the middle that makes a big tv look odd when its resting on one leg. Its been about 60 days this week since I purchased it because I wanted to give it a chance and learn all the different settings but I have tried it all and I do not recommend this TV. Hopefully I can exchange it for a different one maybe a OLED to see if its better.

We appreciate your thoughts on the picture quality of Samsung’s Q60D TV. If the image you’re seeing isn’t to your liking, there are several picture settings you may want to adjust.
Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
3. Eco: Provided to save energy
4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings).

Bad tv and bad customer service

Dropped the tv

We were forced to return it. Which they gave us an issue about.

Not happy yet

I had to hire a mover to complete this project which will hopefully be done next week. I look forward to getting my tv off the floor in my guest and into its permanent placement in my living room.
