I upgraded from an older Samsung model and this TV was worth it and this isn’t the most expensive or cheapest but it’s a good midrange TV.

Picture quality and sound are exceptional. The appropriate price was a bonus I did not expect for such an amazing TV.

Remote charges it self with solar power/light. Pretty cool I can connect my bluetooth headphones at night and watch movies without waking up the wife and kid.

Te remote however is a problem in two areas. One the signal will not go through tinted glass so I need to either remove the doors covering the receiver or take them off and have them replaced with clear glass (at least I hope that works). The second problem is it's inability to work with the Spectrum box. This may be corrected when I can get a time to get the Geek Squad out to the house and have thme program the remote. The people that delivered it do not program a universal remote and could not get the Samsung remote to work with the cable box without issue. The last comment is Samsung should provide a charger cord when they remove the batteries from a remote and expect the solar to work.

We appreciate your feedback on the issues you’re having with your remote control. You may first want to reset your remote by pressing and holding Return and Enter (the center of the navigation pad) for more than 10 seconds. After performing this reset, you will need to pair the remote to the TV again. To pair, press the Return and Play/Pause buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds or until a message appears on your TV indicating that the remote is now connected.
Please also check to see if your remote is charged. You can check remaining battery by going to: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Available Remote Battery.
Check if the remote is sending an IR signal. If it is sending an IR signal, you will see a red colored light coming from the remote control. If the remote still will not work, it may be faulty.
Please ensure Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is enabled on your TV. With Anynet+, you can control external devices that are connected to your TV with HDMI using your TV remote. To turn on Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC), go to: Settings > All Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC).
If your cable box does not support HDMI-CEC, you will not be able to use Anynet+. You may want to contact your cable company to see if an upgraded box is available. If an upgraded box is not available, you will simply need to enable the Universal Remote feature on your TV’s remote.

I can see the TV great from the kitchen which is 30' away. The remote is charged by solar paper. The picture is terrific.

Samsung 75 in Q70A TV
