High Price - Short Life

Had a great picture and nice features but died while watching it 16 months after purchase. No extended warranty, TV repair guy said it needed a scan board part ($1,150.00). Samsung would not make good on it. What happened to QA? Good bye Samsung hello Sony.

Back to the drawing board
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have ALWAYS bought Samsung tvs. If a room has a tv in it, it’s Samsung. I even have a 2 that are at over 10 years old. My husband and I splurged on this 2019 model and purchased in Oct of 2020. Fast forward to April 25, 2022 and the tv goes black while we’re watching. No more tv! Thankfully I let my husband talk me into the warranty, because in my own words “I’ve never had any issues with a Samsung.” We’ve been going back and forth with Geek Squad having to order multiple parts and visits to my home while they try to fix (rebuild) the tv. Frustrating doesn’t begin to describe it! FINALLY we were approved for a replacement on the warranty. Needless to say, I’m having a hard time deciding to ever get a Samsung again and have to start all over in finding a top rated tv that will last.

Bad tv and a horrible experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased tv sept 10th. Noticed a large dark area with dead pixels dec 20th. Which I understand, they cant all be perfect. They should last longer than 3 months and if they don’t… one shouldn’t have to beg for a replacement. The return policy is arbitrary subject to ones ability suck up to the management on duty and their current mood. I say this because I have seen them “bend the rules” when it makes sense. Best Buy is dead to me just like circuit city and the pixels in my Samsung 4k tv. Only angry at myself for stepping foot in the store. If you must buy something, purchase the extended warranty.. which is criminal in my opinion. What happened to Best Buy?
