The HDMI ports randomly stop working after a few hours at a time and which interrupts our fire stick and playstation. We paid for a geek squad service protection plan and rather than having my husband try to dismount the defective tv with his injured arm and return it we opted to just have it repaired. Geek squad came and claimed they fixed it but we still have the same issue. They’re trying to charge us more for them to come and swap out the tvs due to the issue so we’re most likely going to return it completely. There’s no way to know how widespread the issue is and we don’t want to get another bad one. The whole experience has been sour to say the least. The only bright side is the extended return window due to the holidays.

Not sure I like this smart TV

If your TV is announcing everything you do, Voice Guide is turned on. Voice Guide is an accessibility function to assist users who are visually impaired. It’s possible you’ve accidentally turned it on by holding down the volume button on your TV remote.
To turn off Voice Guide, navigate to: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Accessibility > Voice Guide Settings > Voice Guide.
