So I am in the process of moving so I didn't get much time to fully indulge myself into this TV, but for the time allowed, I can easily say this is the best TV I've ever used! So as soon at it was delivered to me, just seeing how large the box was I knew it was definitely going to be my TV for everything. When i first turned on the TV just how it turned on wowed me, like a snapshot into its main dashboard, just brilliant. Seeing the built in apps that already came with it like Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Spectrum made it easily accessible to enjoy my daily shows and movies, to include extra channel apps for other direct shows. The picture quality, my god, just couldn't believe that it could look so real, so pure, so life like, its phenomenal. I also played around with the ambient mode, which is pretty neat because instead of sometimes having a blank screen in idle mode, you can have a nice picture thats already built into the TV, or you could upload some of your own photos to your liking. The speakers is good enough to be stand alone, you can add additional speakers if you like, but for a movie it does well. The remote was prebuilt with the Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime buttons for quick access to the apps, which I enjoy due to it being simple for my kids to use to watch their cartoons. I haven't been able to connect my Xbox One to the TV yet but i have a strong feeling I won't be disappointed. For the short amount of time I got to use the TV for, I can easily say that this TV will be hard to outdo. Fantastic TV!!!

But, your geek squad took an extra two weeks to look at the project to hang the tv. He was very nice and informative. He asked us to set up scaffolding. I spent $280 to do this. The next squad of four came out, drilled 3 holes and left. I hung it myself with a friend, both with no experience, inside an hour.

    Honestly Blown Away

l'll be honest from the start; I am not a tech savvy person and my husband is responsible for our TV purchases. To give some perspective, it took me about 6 months to notice the difference between standard definition and high definition some years ago, but I noticed the improvement of the picture with this TV immediately. The TV was delivered, and I helped with the installation of it in our living room. After checking to make sure we had the remote working, I expected that the setup would take about an hour or so, so I left my husband to it while I started cooking dinner. To my surprise, he kept interrupting me about 20 minutes after I left him so that I could come in to look at the different features with the screensavers. He had already set everything up! The quality of the TV is amazing. The color is stunning when watching nature shows, even on apps. When watching movies, the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen are not even noticeable, which was not the case with our previous TV. The black bars were not truly black, and it would bother both my husband and son. Another good note, I was watching the most recent episode of Game of Thrones (Season 8 Episode 3) and while most people were complaining of the picture being too dark and they couldn't see anything, I had no issues. I was able to see the imagery just fine and was very grateful to my husband for getting this TV! Though I may not be the most tech-savvy person, I can tell you that this TV is far superior to any TV I've had before. I highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a new, high quality TV.

we had a Panasonic 65 inch plasma with Kenwood receiver and 5 speaker surround. we wanted a bigger tube, one with modern app interface, and to simplify with one remote and have a soundbar/woofer for the direct frontal assault on our aging ears. I liked the Sony 950 but went with Samsung based on Q technology reviews and for the compatible soundbar, which was discounted if bought with a Samsung tube. I am happier than a bear in the river during a record salmon run! The 75 inch is a noticeable change from 65. The picture is awesome to me the average joe in every way. My grandchild is still the queen but I've already forgotten my wife's name since all i do is watch something on this TV, anything. John Wick, oh my! Baseball on YouTube TV, oh my! Love it or List it? Awesome. Andy Griffith would probably be incredible, Ron Howard in 75 inch. We added the Q80 soundbar as well, because it had far more heft than the Q60, and the discount was higher due to it's higher price. The convenience of using one remote is taken for granted and we love it. We don't have rear speakers, but they can be added, but really this bar and the TV just blows us away. We haven't even gotten to 4K yet. You can bluetooth your phone into the bar for your music too, sounds great. Getting the latest tube definitely set us back but the last tube went 8 years and i hope for something similar with this one. Best Buy will let you pay small payments and no interest for 2 years and that's a sweet deal. Speaking of Best Buy, the salesman Omar was great, never pushed and he knew the products, was very patient. I used Geek Squad for install 2 days after purchase and Ben and Barton were smart and fast and gave me a crash seminar on how everything works. Installing on a mount, hooking up to your cable/dish provider and learning the TV basics is not something most of us want to do on our own. It was worth the cost, easy. It's only TV, but this package truly makes it an experience. PS, the price of this tube went up $500 since last week, both at Best Buy and Amazon so I'm really happy to have picked this up at its lowest price.

Wish I could give it a 4.5 star rating. The TV I used for 6 years prior to this was the 65 inch Panasonic ST60 Plasma display. Maybe I should not compare this TV to the Panasonic as many professional reviewers gave the Panasonic the best TV they have reviewed to date. Should probably compare apples to apples. However this TV as compared to the current lot is very good to excellent. This TV is installed in room that is brighter than average. Hooked it with ARC circuit running to my Integra receiver and absolutely love the interface between these devices. I am amazed on how the setup configured itself to control sound and switch to corresponding input automatically depending on the source I am viewing. Tizen interface is quick and intuitive. I have it wall mounted and it looks fantastic. Used some "Calman" calibration settings I found on line and the color is very accurate to to my taste. Went to some "show off material" on Youtube that I see the professional reviewers using and this material does surpass the picture quality of the Panasonic. I am still trying to get the best motion settings dialed in. Its seems different source material yield different results. What works for watching the Buffalo Bills does not always translate to the best setting for watching the Walking Dead. Sound through TV speakers is better than most of sets I have heard recently. I did a lot of comparison to the other big name players in this TV's category and would never pay the price differential for sets costing twice as much. I do see a significant difference in improved picture quality as compared to the budget priced sets. I did get this for a good price and had $750 in BB gift cards so I will rate the value excellent. Also want to note that the delivery crew was top notch, super friendly willing to help with what ever I needed.

Beautiful colors! Great overall sound! Just a good tv! Might want to wait for this to go on sale l! So this tv is 60hz 4K for gaming on Xbox but you have to down grade the 4K to 1080 to get the 120hz.. Also you can have hdr+ but you have secret menu turn it on to do this! I was meant to believe I’d have the 2nd best tv below the q90! With 120hz and full 4K and beautiful colors and wow features! But it’s basic!

The further you set away from tv the better. It is clear from all angles. Watching sports is just ok. I have watched a few games in 4K and that was awsome. If you are buying this tv thinking you will be getting a crystal clear picture you are wrong. If you still want this tv wait until it’s 2000 dollars or less. Best of luck. Aaron

I like the concept of Bixby, but it is a pale comparison to that of Amazon's Alexa. The Bixby voice commend often picks up words from what's being broadcast on the TV itself and mutes the program for the slow interface to kick off. Response time for the Bixby commands are pretty slow as well, and doesn't do a great job in recognition of the commands. In the end, I had to turn it off so why bother have it? Additionally, the picture itself isn't as good as I expected; not even on par with other products that cost half as much. I still fumble with the clunky UI to customize and have been trying to get it to perform better for my room settings and the kind of shows I watch but I still can't get it right. Given the cost of it, is it too much to ask that it work properly out of the box with less need for setting tweaking? Screen defaults are too dark, and as things on the screen move towards the edge get distorted losing focus. Maybe because of the size it's easier to notice, however, there's a lot of image blur on fast movements as well, and many of the objects in the picture appear to have a fine dark outline around the figures on TV. Finally, if one of the people on the screen walk in front of a bright white back ground, it oft "bleeds over" (I think this is called blooming?) the person despite the fact I don't think it's intended to. Overall, given the price and past positive experiences with Samsung, I have been very disappointed with the final product and have seen superior performance from TV's at half the price. I have seen other feedback saying to check Samsung boards for helpful settings feedback from other customers, but why is this necessary for a TV that costs this much? I have been trying to figure out the right combination for 3 weeks. Judder on movies, blooming with bright backgrounds, blur on sports programs... sorry, but I expect it to work better out of the box for some of these basics given the price point. I wish I could return this product; extremely disappointed for its lackluster performance.

      JesseMann,

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
For better voice control, we recommend you to turn off the far field mic setting and use the mic button on the remote instead.
To stop Bixby from activating itself, please go thru the following steps to make sure the far field mic is turned off:
      1. Short press the mic button on the remote to get the Bixby Settings page.
      2. Go to Explore Now, then Settings, then Voice wake-up, and select Off.

Your Q80R TV comes with a feature called Auto Motion Plus that helps to optimize motion image quality.
Here is the step-by-step guide to change Auto Motion Plus settings:
      1) With the TV powered on, press the Home button on the Samsung remote to open the Home screen

      2) Then select Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Auto Motion Plus
Note: This option may not be visible initially. Continue scrolling through the Expert Settings Menu to locate Auto Motion Plus

      3) Then Select Auto Motion Plus again, and you will see the following three options:
      a) Off: Auto Motion Plus will always be off
      b) Auto: Auto Motion Plus will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched
      c) Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used

      4) By selecting the Custom option, you can further access these advanced settings:
      a) Judder Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Judder setting.
      b) LED Clear Motion: Select to turn On/Off

If the issues persist, or you have questions about other features, please reach out to Samsung Customer Support at:
