75"Q80 turns on by itself with nothing connected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Trouble since day two. the TV turns on by itself with only power and WiFi connected. All "smart" feature turn on options are off. Turn TV off and next morning it is on and in Ambient mode. Samsung attempted to diagnose over the phone and said needs a repair person to come out. Samsung said if the repair person cannot find an issue, i will be charged for service call. I have had the TV for less than two weeks and now they will charge for a defective product if the repair person cannot find an issue. Chances of finding this issue in my house are slim. i have not had the TV long enough to judge the overall picture quality, although have noticed that over the air channels the picture is very nice, and streaming movies the picture is dark, although very detailed - must need to do a different setting for streaming movies? it takes a while to figure out what source you are watching as the user interface is not that easy to comprehend.

The guts of Samsung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only Samsung would make and update to a product and make it inferior (the q80R) and then charge people more! I am now in lifelong boycott of Samsung across the board. Peak brightness is lower than last years. Contrast is lower than last years. NO Dolby Vision!!!!!!!!!!! Why do you people buy their products when there are much better ones for the same price???

one major flaw, unremovable "sponsored" apps.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture quality and size are great, however for the high price I paid I shouldn't be forced fed unremovable apps with a giant "sponsored" tag underneath displayed on my home screen. It looks ugly. I have searched and there is no way to remove these. You pay a premium AND they make money selling you junk?? Trading it in for a Sony tomorrow.

Great Picture, Poor Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Samsung 8 series 75" QLED and loved everything about the set until the screen developed multiple glitches after 19 months. Replacing the screen cost as much as buying a new TV. Samsung has subsequently increased their warranties from 1 year to 5 years. Too late for me, but good news for more recent buyers.

The Q80T Series was launched in Feb 2020, and thus could not be the TV you are reviewing that lasted 19 months.
Nonetheless, I am sorry for the issues you have with your previous generation TV.
Samsung stands behind the quality and performance of our TVs with a limited 1-year manufacturer’s warranty when purchased brand-new from an authorized dealer.

Samsung... Downhill From Here
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned the Q80T for less than 4 months before it died. I called Samsung support as I was within manufacturer's warranty. Long story short... the part is no longer available and they offered exchange or refund. Obviously I went with the refund. Why would I go for the same TV that will have the same problem in another 4 months. This process takes up to 21 days. Good gravy. Samsung is really going downhill. My previous Samsung from 2012 is a beast. But these newer models clearly do not stand the test of time.

Worst TV I have ever owned!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i purchased this 75" tv and had it installed January 2019. Since that time it has broken four times. I am trying to get them to come out to fix again. I have several Samsung tv's but this is the most expensive one I have ever owned and it is the worst. None of the others have ever conked out. Thankfully, we had the Best Buy 5 year warranty but we have been without it for months on end during this time.
