Q90 is worth the extra money. Pairs great with the Q900 sound bar. Colors and brightness are super crisp. Sports and 4k content look amazing.

I had bought a Sony X900H, but it was defective. I had good experiences with Samsung TVs in the past, so I decided to go for broke (literally) and get Samsung's top of the line 4K TV. I ultimately made that decision based on the high level of brightness this TV is capable of compared to other models. The Sony TV had a better interface, better remote, and better picture, when it was working properly. The Sony also worked flawlessly turning my receiver on and off with the TV. I have to leave my receiver turned on all the time with the Samsung since the Samsung cannot reliably turn the receiver on and off. The Samsung remote is pretty bad. Especially if you don't have vision considerably better then 20/20. Do they really think people can read the Prime Video button in a 1 point font? It's also not intuitive. How much money are they really saving by putting as few buttons as possible on the remote? Spent an extra $8 on a replacement remote that's actually useful. The software interface is even worse. The Sony TV (Android TV) let me customize just about everything, and I could search ALL apps at the same time for what I wanted to watch and easily choose which app I wanted to watch. The Sony didn't have advertisements for crap I don't want. And I could delete apps that neither I, nor anyone else in the world, will ever use. Samsung forces you to keep certain apps that I assume they are paid to force you to keep on your TV. A note about HDR. You CANNOT turn it off on this TV. When I still had the Sony there were a couple of HDR scenes that were so dark, I could barely see anything on the screen. Sony lets you turn off the HDR. Samsung doesn't care if the scene is too dark or not. HDR is awesome and therefore you are not allowed to turn it off. This TV also supports a new picture format called Filmmaker Mode. It sounds interesting from the description, especially since I hate motion smoothing, but the brightness in Filmmaker Mode maxes out at about 50% brightness and you can't turn the brightness up any higher in this mode. So unless you are watching this TV in a dark room, Filmmaker Mode is basically useless. Still debating whether I should return this TV since it is really not much better than my $200 (Cyber Monday) 50" Westinghouse, but after the Sony fiasco I am wondering if any companies make a good TV anymore.

      DisappointedSonyBuyer:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Q90T TV and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the interface, remote, and picture.

There are several image settings you can adjust to your liking such as Picture Mode and Expert Settings.
Choose a Picture Mode by going to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and choose from Dynamic, Standard, Natural, Movie, or Filmmaker Mode.
Dynamic Picture Mode will make pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.

You can further adjust your sharpness, brightness, contrast, color, tint, contrast, white balance, and more by going to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings

On the Home Screen, you can easily run the apps you have used previously or frequently. The apps can also be rearranged or removed from the screen. Simply select an app, press & hold the Enter key. You will see a popup menu with options to move or remove it.

Samsung TV's have Anynet+ (also known as HDMI-CEC), a feature that allows connected external HDMI devices to inform your TV when they have turned on. By default, the TV will immediately switch to this source when this happens.

Should you need assistance with image settings or with your connected devices, please contact Samsung Customer Support.

A replacement for the first samsung 75" Q90 that I bought that didn't work. This one is much better. When objects are moving behind things yet they are seen, like fences or bridges, you can see quick pixelization. Or when a small object is being tracked quickly, it can pixelate as well. (Mandalorian flying across the screen quickly). Pixelization is usually very brief. Other than that, no complaints. When the screen goes black in a black room, you can't even tell that the screen is on, it goes that dark.
