Customers are satisfied with the picture quality, easy setup, color, price, remote control, and display of the 75" Class QN84A Neo QLED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV. They appreciate the amazing picture quality, beautiful colors, and super bright display. Customers also find the TV to be easy to set up and are pleased with the price. Additionally, they love the functions of the solar rechargeable remote control. However, some customers have concerns about the motion rate, glare, weight, and speakers. Fantastic gaming and movie watching
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very solid TV. The specs listed are incorrect. This is a 120hz native tv - interpolates up to 240hz. HDMI 4 is HDMI 2.1. eARC works very well with my atmos sound system. This is basically the QN85A without the extra speakers. Also the anti reflection layer does great!

Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is worth the money especially if you get it on sale. I really don’t understand why they made two 75” version with the only difference being the speaker wattage. This is my first Samsung TV ever, and the only complaint I have is the remote is so small.

Dead pixels right out of the box
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this tv last week from Best Buy. It was very expensive but I decided to splurge and go for this higher end tv. When I set it up and turned it on; I immediately noticed dead pixels on the screen. It looks as if a small black bug is on the screen. I emailed Samsung support and they setup an appointment for in-home service to come and repair the TV. Then 2 days before the appointment; the service company informs me that Samsung cancelled out the service order. I messaged Samsung support trying to get more information and they responded they'll look into it. Was disappointed to get a damaged tv right out of the box but more disappointed that Samsung setup a repair date and then cancelled it without telling me why. FYI - If TV didn't have dead pixels I'd rate 4.5 out of 5. The picture is amazing, very bright, processes everything very fast; but there is noticeable glare on the TV when it's bright out.

Doesn't Support 4K 120hz
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality of the TV is excellent. However, it does not support 4K 120hz. Best Buy's website says it supports 4K 120hz. I tried it on both Amazon Fire TV Cube and Xbox. It only supports 4K 60hz.

Posted .Jacky,
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing difficulties with your QN84A TV. Your new TV has 4 HDMI ports, all of which support Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Dynamic Metadata (HDR10+), and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). High Frame Rate (HFR) 4K@120Hz is supported in “HDMI In 4”. The “HDMI In 3” port further supports eARC.
If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

Spend your money elsewhere
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not quite sure what everyone is talking about. I feel like this was a big mistake. The picture quality compared to a $500 50inch Amazon tv is worse - no joke. Maybe it’s this single TV but me and 4 professional adults who have all owned high end tv’s have plugged both the Amazon and this Neo QLED back to back cause we have two new cables boxes and the new Samsung NEO QLED looks like a step back from the Amazon. I feel like I’m watching a high grade tube tv in the 90’s honestly. Faces are blurry and there is a lot of glitching for the tv to catch up to the Verizon box. The only channel that looks better on the Neo QLED is the NHL Network - that’s it. We turned on Modern Family and facial definition is absolutely gone. We turned on Dr. Strange and it looks like the tv can’t keep up with displaying crisp video and lots of blurring and glitching. When someone turns their face it’s just blurs. Sure when nothing is moving on screen it looks great, but as soon as something moves on the tv , blur we go again. Did I mention the like glitching that happens when objects blur and skip across the screen. The glare on this tv is absolutely insane as well. Do not have any lights on or blinds open. Yeahs it’s big, great. I’d take my money back all day. Unfortunately I can’t add video to show the glitching or lines across the screen. D-

NeoQLED looks fantastic - Green Monday Deal
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this UHD TV when it was on sale for $300 less than Black Friday (and included a $500 BB gift card). It has a great picture with high contrast and detail without the potential for burn in like an OLED set. Pleased so far. It's brother the QN85A is highly rated by CR. I used CRs recommended picture settings (see below) and they seem to work well. Nothings Perfect, but it could be perfect for you
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I want to set the record straight. There is a not a lot of information online regarding this particular model since it is a Best Buy only product. Some people, including the sales rep I talked to before finding out more information myself post-purchase; the QN84A is NOT the same thing as the QN85A. Yes, it is true that the built in speakers are only being given ~30W instead of ~60W. Surprisingly, the sound relatively loud and will suffice if necessary, but with a tv of this caliber, you should have an external audio system. Otherwise, why spend all the money when you could get a similar/same size tv for much cheaper. Just because it's cheaper, doesn't mean its bad. HOWEVER, one of the other significant differences is the motion rate. On the 84, the motion rate is 120 whereas the QN85A and the QN90A is 240. On most televisions, if motion rate is, for example, 240, the refresh rate is 120hz. On this TV, both refresh rate and motion rate are 120 which does affect performance. As for viewing experiences, the screen does live up to the expectations of Samsung's Neo-QLED display technology. Awesome colors, excellent clarity, the blacks are much closer to true blacks than most other tv's I have ever come across. It also has HDR10 and Dolby Vision as well as other great features to have in a television. One thing to keep in mind is that this tv is best viewed directly in front of the viewer. If you are viewing it from a side view or if you are mounting it on the wall, after a certain height you can see the backlighting. That greyish glow of light almost seems like washed out black, you’ll likely experience that if you view from these angles. If you have it placed closer to eye level and in front of you, the experience will get a lot better. Keep in mind, this backlighting is noticeable at weird angles, the TV does not lose its charm. Unless your viewing experience includes a large amount of dark lit scenes, the picture quality otherwise is phenomenal. One thing to note, some of my features int he settings have been disabled. I am not sure if it is an updating issue, or setting issue but some of my stuff is disabled and part of me thinks it is because its a Holiday model exclusive. I am currently unable to adjust black levels, nor reset my TV, the options are grayed out and unclickable. I'll be doing more research but something to note. The smart hub is okay but it is certainly not perfect and could use a lot of updating. At times it feels slow and the apps are not very optimized; future updates should change that assuming the continue supporting it, which is not guaranteed but should be supported for a while since it is now their flagship display series for 4K. For enthusiasts and technology aficionados who are all about the best specs, this is not your tv. For the average people who enjoy consuming at home entertainment and causal gaming this is a decent choice to consider. Now, this tv normally runs around the same pricing as the upper tier models (QN85A and QN90A); personally I would recommend saving a little longer and picking up one of the other models, or waiting until a holiday sale. I purchased this on Black Friday for $1,899, and for a Neo-QLED 75in. with its features, that was an excellent deal. At $900 off and with my initial budget, I was content taking that loss of motion rate since the QN85A during the sale was hundreds of dollars more. I already have an SVS/Klipsch Surround Sound System so I couldn't have cared less for the speakers so I didn't sacrifice much, personally. In a situation such as mine, this television is pretty much the ideal choice if you're considering Samsung 4k. As of 1/5/22, this TV retails for the exact same price as the top tier 4k model, the QN90A. So, at full price, why not get the better one for the same price. Excluding holiday sales, most other sales only drop around $100-$300. When buying top tier technology, especially televisions, your budget is already significant; you might as well spend the few extra hundred dollars and get the higher performance model. So, what does all of this mean? To sum it all up, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. The experience is amazing, and at the discounted price, I stretched my budget a little which allowed me to enter into this Neo-QLED tier. If no discount is active or only slightly discounted, spend the same or a little more and get better performance model; at this price point and tier, this is not something I would be comfortable with, nor would I recommend someone else to sacrifice this since it directly impacts the picture performance, which is noticeable. Great TV, great experience, buy when the timing is right if you're really trying to save. _____________________________________________________ P.S. I have read in other forums that companies such as Samsung will produce these holiday models because they often use other cheaper materials and components that were unable to pass testing to be installed into the higher tier models. I was taught growing up that holiday exclusive models are usually cheap, mass produced garbage; Sony has stopped this business practice and a few other companies have also denounced it but Samsung is one that is still notorious for utilizing this practice for a profits margin increase. My personal experience, so far so good and I have never had a bad experience with Samsung so I am very comfortable with my purchase, but long-term remains to be seen; so please keep this in mind when buying...another reason I say wait until big discounts; if anything does happen or it dies sooner than you would like, you don't feel like you are out of nearly as much investment. Higher end televisions from the big brands we know (Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, etc.) usually have a life span of 4.5-7 years, although Samsung claims 7-10.
