This TV looks great on an outside patio. It is very bright even when the sun is bright.

Warning to anyone interested in buying a Samsung Terrace TV. I was one month past the warranty when Samsung sent a technician for a minor smudge repair on the screen. My Terrace was otherwise working fine. The replacement parts were defective and Samsung left me without any resolution. $8k lost!!! the Samsung technician is the only authorized repair person in NJ and PA. He told me that the Terrace TVs are horrible quality and to never buy again. Waste of money. Even worse is that Best Buy will not do anything to help.

We unboxed and mounted our TV on our patio today, the TV is very sturdy, has an amazing picture, and was fairly easy to deal with other than it is heavy being 110 pounds. We did need help getting it onto the wall mount. When you open the box you do it from the bottom so make sure you reach in and pull the top styrofoam out to get your paperwork, remote, and cord before you lay the box down and lay the TV on it! The back small square panel unscrews and hinges open to the right, you need to completely remove the screws to do that, That panel is where your cords hook in, power, HDMI, and optical input for the sound bar. The cords come out by removing these rubber stoppers and putting the cord in that spot so it is all nice and neat and the TV stays protected from the elements. We thought it couldn’t get much better once we powered it on, until we added the sound bar which took it to the next level. We spend a lot of time on our patio and in the pool and this TV is large enough, loud enough, and bright enough to accomplish movies from the pool, along with not having to worry about leaving it outside in the heat, or if it happens to rain. Thus far we are super impressed with how lovely it is, and also the smart TV options, we stream most everything and on this TV it is right at your fingertips via remote because the Apps are already there, or via your phone which is another great option! You can also set it up with voice response using Alexa, google assistant, or Bixby. We LOVE this setup so much, thank you Samsung for creating an outdoor option!!!! #SamsungTheTerraceInsiders

Amazing picture, but UI is clunky. I would recommend using an Apple TV or Fire Stick. TV manufacturers in general should give up on developing their own UIs.

This TV is insanely good for outdoors. We almost went with projection to watch nighttime movies and with the Terrace instead. Super ultra mega bright you can watch TV outside in the sun with sunglasses on.

I bought this TV in January for an outdoor covered area away from sun and use a cover when not using. A few weeks ago it started showing discolored almost white streaks on the monitor when TV is off. Best Buy sent the Geek Squad out to look and he was baffled as to the cause and told us that Best Buy does not handle the warranties we have to go through Samsung. I spent over an hour on the phone with Samsung who contacted their service provider. The service provider CONE Appliances set up an appointment to come out but never showed and fails to answer phone. I have since realized that Cone Appliance does not even service our area. Then went online and read 97 Yelp one star reviews for how bad Cone service is at servicing or even showing up for the Samsung warrenty calls. In addition to the no show by Cone Samsung also had me make sure some there was someone at the house who could help the service person unmount the tv so I also wasted 5 hours of a friend's time today who nicely agreed to help assist the Cone service person. The 4 month old TV has already taken me approximately 15 hours of calls and waiting and no progress on getting anywhere with my warranty. Check out Sun Brite outdoor TVs before going for the the Samsung.
