    Great size and features and I paid a great Black Friday price. The audio is weak as you’d expect from these TVs but be sure to buy a sound bar if you don’t already have a home theater.

      I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing with your TU690T, including a slow interface and a pixelated image. Please know we are here to help and have a few troubleshooting tips to help resolve these issues.

      To ensure performance is fully optimized, please make sure your TV is running the latest firmware. To do so, go to Settings> Support> Software Update. You can easily update from there if necessary.

      Next, I recommend utilizing the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care.

      If you are experiencing a distorted picture, the issue may be due to not connecting correctly with an external device. Please check your connection with these steps:

      1. Disconnect and reconnect the power cables and HDMI cables on the back of your TV, then unplug the power cord and plug it back into the wall outlet.
      2. If the external device supports UHD video, use a dedicated HDMI cable (4K) for HDMI video playback.
      3. If a component cable is used, make sure that the colored connectors are connected to the matching connectors on the external device and the TV.
      4. If you are using a set-top box, check the cable connection. The cable you need to check depends on the type of set-top box.
      5. Make sure that your access point is connected to the Internet. If not, disconnecting and reconnecting its power cable may be required.
      6. If the problem persists, check the video output settings in the settings menu of the external device, and ensure that your TV supports the video output mode.

      If the issue persists, I recommend running a run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test).

    I know it's an entry level TV but you would think Samsung would have better manufacturing quality control. Half of display is brighter than the other. Very apparent when watching sports. Will have to return and buy new model since they won't have any available to replace. Make sure you run a DSE test before mounting it. Look up a video with all white background and then look up a video with all black background. This has been the second Samsung TV with uneven brightness. This is supposed to be direct lit but it seems that it's edgelit by the way it's behaving.

      First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.

      Next, try turning off the Eco sensor, as it automatically adjusts the brightness level of the TV according to the ambient light level. You can also select Min. Backlight to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness.

      You can adjust Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, Motion Lighting, or Contrast Enhancer by going to Settings > General > Power and Energy Saving > and adjusting the Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, and Motion Lighting.

      You can also go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Contrast Enhancer to adjust the contrast manually.

      Next, run a Picture Test to ensure that it is not a connection issue with an external device. Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test.

    So far so good. Not overly impressed. When I purchased, the sales person mentioned that it was an entry level version of Samsung. Sound is average and so is picture quality (borderline “fair” rating. Picture not as great as some of the other televisions I have. Guess you get what you pay for

    I purchased this tv brand new and after almost 2 weeks I opened it and started the tv and noticed a small thin white hairline across the screen and a half inch long dead pixel. I called customer service as it was still under 30 days and asked for a replacement and they said that it is too late to replace it which does not make any sense but they said they would send someone to fix it. Why do i have to have a brand new tv fixed instead of being replaced, I DONT KNOW! So not happy about this. So now I'm waiting for a replaced piece for a brand new tv! No type of compensation or anything!

Unfortunately, even if a TV is double-boxed and the packaging shows no evidence of harm, a TV can still be damaged during transit if proper care is not taken. For example, if the TV were sitting in an incorrect orientation – laid on its side or tilted – during transit, damage could have been done.

    This TV is a true testament of "you pay for what you get". It was supposed to replace our old 55" Samsung 6000 Series 1080p TV and it being a newer 75" 4K TV we thought it would be an improvement but we were sadly let down. The image clarity did not improve, not even when watching 4K movies. The dark images looked like grey shadows. Ultimately we ended up returning it and will purchase a better model in the future.

    Great product. The screen clarity is good, but I don’t like the sounds leave of the tv. It is not as loud so expect but the quality is very clear.
