Amazing Amazing TV.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Could even beging how great this tv looks in my home with the content I consume. Dark scenes are vivld clear with no washout. The backlighting of this tv makes the full black areas to be fully black while other ares can be bright. The samsung OS could be better but that is more of a personal gripe and not really a negative for anyone else as it has so many features built in. Lots of apps pre installed with free tv shows. Like A LOT of shows. I was sort of amazed how much free tv you get as long as you have a internet connection. Sports look amazing. Hockey has always been one that tvs just never do well tracking the puck without serious ghosting, but it looks beautiful on this tv. Easy to setup and altho it is rather big and heavy for one person, it is do able. This thing is THIN. Amazing quality. Couldn’t recommend anything more than this deal unless the S90C is on sale as it is basically the same tv.

great QD-OLED at an amazing price for a 77 inch tv
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.an incredible value at $1799 on ceratin sales , for a flagship quality QD-OLED 77 inch tv. the picture is amazing with content that has HDR impact, HDR 10+ and just playing Netflix Dolby Vision content on it i can't tell the difference between it not having official Dolby Vision support.

Ultimate Gaming TV Experience
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is the ultimate gaming TV. Very low panel response times (0.3ms I believe), not to mention 4k 144hz! This does better than a lot of pc monitors, but the size of the TV will factor into how you use it. 4 HDMI 2.1 ports make it very easy and flexible to use a PS5, XBOX, PC and a soundbar, while utilizing the highest frame rates possible.I did a lot of research when trying to find a good tv and this was one stood out to me as a gem because this specific 77 inch panel has the same panel as the s95c, which is significantly more expensive, albeit not as bright. Having said that, this is easily the best price to performance ratio I have seen from an OLED TV, not to mention that the immersion is mindblowing. Also, it was very shocking how good the built in speakers are for this TV (it will suffice for casual users), but ultimately, if you can get a soundbar, get one!!

So far (1 day), so good! Updates to come...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Major caveat - I've had this for ONE DAY. I typically hate early reviews, yet here I am. So I'll only detail the install process (Geek Squad) and initial set up. Geek Squad - reliable, *early*, respectful and fast. It's worth the money to pay for Total Tech (or whatever they're offering now). Initial set up - quick and easy! Can be done through the remote or your phone, easy to adds apps and get everything installed. First thoughts - we got a new tv because we moved a year ago and from the get-go we knew we could use a bigger tv above our fireplace. I say this because our old tv was not bad. Only a few years old, Sony, no issues whatsoever...and already I notice a difference! This is OLED and other was not. The blacks are definitely blacker - I can SEE DARK SCENES!!! And the picture is incredibly clear. Immediately I started looking at actor's skin and there's truly nothing to hide here. Note that it's set up to a sound bar, so I can't speak to the quality of the tv sound. It's great so far, but I'll try to remember to come back and update after we've had it for longer.

Quality Samsung OLED TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only have had the OLED TV for about a month and so far it has been an excellent upgrade from a standard TV. The colors are exact and the brightness is perfect even in a bright room with direct sunlight. TV really shines using Netflix or Amazon Video. 4k is crisp and clear. Spectrum cable is only 1080P and it is still a perfect picture on any channel. I don't use the internal speakers as I have a full 5.1 surround sound system, so I can't comment on the quality of the speakers. I have used the TV with a PS5 and the games really pop. Games are smooth and response seems quick. Colors are vibrant and the shadows and contrast are perfect. Be aware that the mounting threads are very low on the TV so if you are replacing a TV where the threads were in the middle or at the top, this will cause the Samsung OLED to be higher on the wall. Happened in my case as I replaced an LG 82" with this TV.

For the price can’t be beat
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a Samsung electronics fan but love the qd oled tech… I had a s90c that had issues so I exchanged for the 89c … they are exactly the same minus the stand so I have no clue why anyone would spend the extra 500… the way this one is priced to its competing with the lg b3 lol what a lopsided battle that is,..at CES they really didn’t spend much time talking about the 2024 s90d so I’m assuming it’s a minor upgrade and it will probably cost 3400 when launched next month … so if you are waiting for the new models the only one I would consider waiting for is the lg g4 but that will be considerably more expensive … otherwise just get this tv best value and exactly the same picture as the s90c … in case anyone was wondering the s90c I exchanged was turning off and on by itself …. Never had that problem with an lg and I hope the s89c does not have this issue

Stunning TV at a GREAT Price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to this TV from a 65-inch Samsung Q70 LED from 2018 so I am completely blown away. It needs some tweaking out of the box to calibrate but there are posts all over the internet for the best way to do this. The S89C is the best kept secret going. It is the exact same TV as the S90c with the exception of the Q-Symphony sound and the S89c has legs instead of the S90c’s stand. This TV is such a great find that Samsung doesn’t even list it in its lineup of OLED TV models on their site. You can’t even find the S89c manual on Samsung’s site. But the S89c is $500 cheaper than the S90c. My buddy has an LG G2 and my parents in law have the C3. Both are beautiful TV’s in their own respects but they can’t get as bright as the S89C. I can’t be happier with my purchase.

S89c
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just want to let you all know that ive compared this tv with my lg cx oled and it blows the lg away in regard to overall and hdr brightness. Seems about 25% brighter. It lacks hlg and dolby vision but that doesnt bother me at all. It has really lightweight feet definitely preferred to wall mount. Oh and its 100% qdoled panel, not woled like my cx.

Cheapest Best OLED Hands Down
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is packed with features and boasts impressive specs for the price. You get a 120hz panel that can go up to 144hz actually when connected to a PC. I have mine docked with my ROG Ally running an external 4090 and man this combo is a beast. Colors are super vibrant and the panel is decently bright although lacking when compared to more expensive OLEDs. If you have a media room, this TV is bright enough. I cannot recommend this TV enough for those looking to get a quality OLED that will not break the bank, other TVs with similar specs are easily thousands more at the 77 inch size.

S90C in disguise……
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quantum OLED. Has filmmaker mode. Researched A LOT on this set. Rtings is buying one to rate. For this price it’s a no brainer. It’s a Best Buy version of the S90C. Picture settings and options are all the same as the S90C. Of note, if watching live over the air TV, you’ll have to install “chat together” app and accept terms. Then exit the app. If you don’t do this, it will go to screen saver every 3-5 mins. Easy fix. Only happens in live TV mode. For an OLED it gets plenty bright for a living room TV. So far so good. Can’t rate sound as everything goes through my receiver.

Absolutely worth it!!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After extensive research I purchased this TV and have NO regrets! I only buy Samsung TVs and wanted to upgrade size and quality for our living room tv. This size is perfect and with the OLED backlighting combined with the 120mghz, I couldn’t pass up on the deal. We have had it for about 5 months now and absolutely LOVE it. Based on some of the reviews I thought we might need to add a sound bar…no way. The sound is great. The colors are deep and vivid and the screen is bright, making for a gorgeous picture.

Excellent OLED
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung S89C is essentially the prior years S95B panel repackaged in the 77" size. It is phenomenal and offers all necessary advanced features. I used it to replace a 65" S95B in my main living room with many floor to ceiling windows that are south facing, so it gets very bright during the day. This TV has no problem handling the brightness and displaying beautifully, day or night. It also has excellent input lag and gaming features, as I use it with a Series X, PS5, as well as a PC running a 4080, and of course a Switch. Overall, for the price, it's unbeatable.

Just Wow! Much more pop than the LG OLEDS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is mesmerizing. I just got the LG B3 last year and this one blows it away. Colors are much more intense than the LG, even in movie mode. I can't see any screen uniformity issues at all. I have not busted out the test screens, but this is the first tv that I can't see anything watching normal content. I know that OLED is infinite black but the quantum dot Samsung looks blacker than the LG because of the brightness. I was watching a scene that was pitch black and it would flash lightening and it was jaw dropping.

I don't see how you can go wrong buying it
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Couldn't be happier with this TV. I watch this in a room with several giant windows, i don't get direct sunlight on it but it looks fantastic day or night, I think the brightness of the qd panel really makes a difference. I was a bit hesitant to buy a Samsung as I've been bouncing around a bit at the last two houses I rented had Samsung TVs in them and the UI was so laggy it was frustrating to use, sometimes I would think the remote wasn't even working. This thing is very snappy though. The screen is extremely thin, i had laid it down to put the feet on and was afraid i was going to damage it picking it back up so be careful.

Best Deal for QD OLED Period
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This really is the best deal available for a QD OLED panel period. The picture is crisp with beautifully saturated colors and gets exceptionally bright. Obviously, with the oled panel you get true blacks and the contrast is truly amazing. Very happy with the tv. I can't comment on sound. I have it running through my theater setup. I heard some people comment that they did not care for Samsung's OS, but it really is not bad at all. I would not worry about that at all if this is something you are contemplating prior to making the purchase. Again, I am nothing but extremely happy with S89C.

Beautiful picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new samsung tv, it has amazing picture quality of course, older content doesn’t look as good but that’s ok, I have my Bose 700 soundbar connected on the earc port and it recognizes it very well. Very pleased and I look foward to coming home and getting to enjoy tv everyday

Beautiful picture, great price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We LOVE our 77" S89C! Bought it as an upgrade to out 60" Samsung 1080 LCD that is still running great, but we watch streaming programming 2-3 hours almost every night and felt an upgrade to 4K and newer surround was justified. We have had it a little over a month. Online comparison tests suggested the 89 is so close to the more expensive 90 one would be hard pressed to tell them apart. I dont know about that but I do know our picture is stunning. I havent seen anything that looked less than stellar and no odd behaviors of the picture while watching. The upverting it does for 1080 and even 720 (Fox TV Sports) is pretty impressive too. When we bought the S89C the S90C was several hundred dollars more and the S95C was way up there. When we first set it up we routed all our sources directly to the TV and used the optical output to get sound back to our older sound system. This means I had 3 HDMI cables, an optical cable, antenna coax and AC power on an umbilical of sorts as we mounted the TV using an over-the-fireplace mount. That was a bit cumbersome. Shortly after installing the TV I decided it was time to also upgrade the front end of our sound system so we could listen to the newer Dolby and DTS formats so we bought a Denon AVR-X series receiver. I then added an 8K certified HDMI cable to the HDMI/eARC jack on the TV, routed it to the line connector on the Denon and moved all the sources to the Denon. This let me reduce the umbilical to power, 1 HDMI, and the antenna coax. Better in terms of reduced bulk to the TV and it permits the Denon to show status of the audio and video feeds on-screen. Criticisms. Watching OTA broadcasts takes an extra step or two compared to selecting an HDMI source. The Netflix App doesnt seem as well executed as on the Roku Ultra, and a few apps for streaming service I subscribe to arent available on the TV so the Roku Ultra is still a necessary part of our hardware.

Great For The Price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a stunning tv for a great price! Make sure you keep an eye on this tv as it goes on sale quite often and we snapped it up when it was and we are so happy we did. We ordered it for delivery and it came very quick and there was no issues and the guys that helped bring it in were very nice and even helped recommend a good steel system that would work well with the tv. It’s SUPER bright even when we have it down to 5% brightness. The colors are so sharp and the picture is so clear. We are still figuring out how we want to mount it but it’s been one of our favorite purchases so far.

QD-OLED Samsung TV is One of the Best
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great TV! OLED is such a great technology, it's probably the most exciting display technology of the last decade. This QD-OLED display type by Samsung is amazing, it's got very good colors and very high contrast ratio. Overall
