I purchased the Samsung QN77S89C (model QN77S89CBFXZA) on December 25, 2023, expecting a premium OLED experience from a premium brand. Instead, on December 9, 2025—not even two years later—the TV developed a full vertical line down the screen. The issue is clearly a panel/driver failure, something that should never happen this early on a high-end, expensive television. Samsung’s warranty is only one year, so they refused to cover the repair and are now asking me to pay labor costs to fix what is obviously a quality defect in their product. A TV at this price point should last many years without major hardware failure, and the fact that Samsung offers such a short warranty on an OLED panel is telling. I’m extremely disappointed in the durability, the customer service, and the lack of accountability. I would not recommend this model — or Samsung TVs in general — based on this experience. Buyers deserve better than a flagship television that fails just outside the warranty window.

Even though my budget wasn't right at the time for this masterpiece considering the store availability was down to one left, I couldn't miss the opportunity to grab it. I did all inquiries and research on other models and this one fit price wise and size. This tv is everything to me!!

This TV is perfect size for the living room with no chance of missing in action. It’s giving theater vibes and makes family movie night 10x more enjoyable!

I love this TV and you will too! The Samsung 77" S89C is an unbelievable value. You get a bright QD-OLED display with an anti-glare coating that really does minimize reflections on the screen from lights in the room. Watching programs and movies in HDR 10+ that you find on Amazon Prime has been absolutely amazing!

I live wverything about this TV. Has the new recharable remote with solar charging. I will say .. you absolutely need two people to do anything with this TV. It is not heavy, but the thin screen makes it very very easy to break without that second set of hands.

I did some research on this model as it seemed to be a short-lived offering and questions about its display. I was convinced this would be a suitable upgrade from my older 60” Samsung so grabbed it on sale. It’s nothing less than spectacular. I did add a Soundbar a few days later.

Did not disappoint. Everything i have ever wanted in a TV. Technology will have to take a new leap before this will feel outdated. The sound isnt the greatest, but when you buy a tv like this im hoping you pair it with at least a sound bar and sub to do it right.

Kevin assisted me with info in regards to what type of tv would be best and just made it all make sense even though i didn’t have much knowledge about types or TVs. Very helpful and really appreciate him helping me make the best decision for myself
