Great picture, bad UI, Bad QC

Samsung itself offers a warranty for repair, but dont have authorized repair technicians in my area so they offered to replace the unit for a "scheduled" time almost 3 weeks out...im going to have best buy replace it in a week instead. Im probably going to go with a LG instead though cause a new unit will likely come with a power board that will fail as well, there is an updated power board that repair technicians will replace the dead ones with that appears to fail less, but with no technicians in my area, i fear ill be sucked into a death loop replacing this thing. Just get the LG and its dumb remote, at least it wont fail at the rate od these things.

Great TV, great picture and sound, but concerned

As in glitched and turned off mid-show, and would not power back on. Best Buy promptly replaced it as we were well within our return/exchange period, and we’ll set up the new TV today. Hopefully this was just a one-off but we’ll see.

Best Buy no help with bricked TV 16 day old TV

Best Buy was absolutely no help In resolving bricked TV when contacted. All they would say is I should have purchased their extended warranty which I was not even offered. Samsung did respond and repair TV under their 1 year warranty, Best Buy did not even mention Samsung Warranty.

Not quite as good as I expected.

Game mode is a waste as it makes everything look so fake and blue. It seems to have issues with upscaling images as the picture has pixelation issues around the edges of objects on older content. It also weighs about 80 lbs, so make sure you have two people to mount it on the wall if that's your route.

We appreciate your thoughts on the picture quality of Samsung’s S90D TV. If the image you’re seeing isn’t to your liking, there are several picture settings you may want to adjust.
Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
3. Eco: Provided to save energy
4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings).

Wont turn on
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It has been exactly 168 days from when i purchased the tv and it will not turn on. I checked the power cable and it is reciving power, however the main circuit and the TV is not receiving power. The TV was barely used maybe 3-4 hours per day and the rest of the time it was off. It is sad to spend all this money on the TV now I have to go through Samsung customer service to send a technician to fix it.

Only small issue - I am used to a plastic covering/screen protectant that peels off... there was none and the screen itself has very minor scratches, likely from delivery. The scratches are not visible when viewing, but still something of note.

The built in user interface is very easy to use with all the apps able to be downloaded to the tv. Games run fantastic on the TV weather it's a console game or a PC connected. Movies and shoes have great colors and motion is smooth. Combine it with a Samsung soundbar and your all set. Great TV 1 year and no issues.

The clarity is unmatched. The other day I was watching football and the picture was so clear, I thought the pass was coming to me. This TV is a must get if you uave a Man Cave. I caught my wife in my room watching tv on my 77". Love my TV.

S90D misleading product information

I’ve read this is disabled on OLED models to avoid LED burn in. The Owners Manual describes the feature and how to use it but the described menu options are not present. Very misleading product description.

A little calibrations and now it’s almost perfect. I’m not too crazy about the operating system, it seems to lag a bit, but the picture quality and bold colors more than make up for it. A little pricey especially for a mid tier tv but I did get it on sale during prime day… still expensive though with the sale smh. No regrets love my Samsung 77 S90D

Good but......

Direct TV signal is not high enough resolution to fully enjoy the features. Would have been 5 stars however the tv did not power on after 60 days. Support was great and came out and fixed it however I saved and purchased this for 2024 NFL football season and ended up missing 5 weeks.

I Love It

I love how I can switch from watching TV to then playing video games and the system recognizes the switch. Once it does it goes into Game mode with many different features to increase enjoyment of the game.

Horrible motherboard (if that’s what it’s called)

The capacitor isn’t powerful enough for the tv. So it broke on me on two tvs. The first one, was after a week of use and Best Buy sends me a new one. Then the second one lasted 5 months. That’s when Samsung sent a tech and they replaced the whole motherboard. The tech said this is common with only the 77 inch affected by it.
