Yesterday the screen went black and the audio stopped. I could not and cannot turn the TV, on, after running through troubleshooting steps and reaching out to Samsung online support, a repair request was submitted. While it is still under warranty, it is completely unacceptable for a TV to malfunction after 5 months, it is not even used daily. I bought this TV to replace a 65” Samsung that I had for 4 years after the top part of the screen would randomly darken and lighten, which started in September 2024. Apparently there is a known issue with the backlighting, just as there is a known issue with the power board on the 77”. Fortunately, I still have the first Samsung TV I purchased back in 2013, an LED flat panel, basic TV that still looks good and most importantly works. The 77” Samsung I bought in November will be the last Samsung TV I will ever buy.

TV Broke in 4 months.

The picture is stunning, the audio very clear and loud. However, I purchased this TV in September, and it already died on me yesterday. TV won’t turn on, red standby light is nowhere to be seen. This seems to be a common occurrence with the 77S90D. Would not recommend this tv!! Not worth the money!!

Tv not powering on after 5 months

I’ve been told I have to pay out of pocket to have it dismounted and remounted after the power supply is replaced. This doesn’t seem fair, especially for a product that failed so soon. I’ve looked online and found multiple complaints from other customers experiencing the exact same issue. It’s clearly a common problem, and I no longer feel confident that this TV will function reliably, even after repairs. At this point, I feel like a refund or a replacement with a more reliable model would be a more appropriate resolution. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience for what should have been a quality purchase.
