The Samsung S95C OLED TV is a stunning display that combines the best of OLED and quantum dot technologies. It delivers amazing picture quality with bright, vivid, and accurate colors, deep blacks, and wide viewing angles. It also supports various HDR formats, including HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG, to enhance the contrast and detail of the images. The design of the TV is sleek and minimalist, with a thin bezel and a slim profile. The TV comes with a One Connect box that houses all the ports and cables, making it easy to set up and manage. The TV has four HDMI 2.1 ports, three USB ports, an ethernet port, an optical audio output, and an antenna/cable connector. The TV also supports AirPlay 2, Amazon Alexa, Samsung Bixby, and SmartThings. The TV is a great choice for gamers, as it has a low input lag, a high refresh rate of 144Hz, and supports AMD FreeSync and VRR. The TV also has a motion enhancer feature that reduces blur and judder in fast-moving scenes. The sound quality of the TV is decent, but not exceptional. It has a 70W 4.2.2 channel speaker system that supports Dolby Atmos and Q Symphony. The only drawback of the TV is that it does not support Dolby Vision, which is a popular HDR format that offers dynamic metadata for better scene-by-scene optimization. The TV also has some issues with tone mapping in very bright scenes, which can result in some loss of detail or clipping. Overall, the Samsung S95C OLED TV is an impressive display that offers a superb viewing experience for any content. It is one of the best OLED TVs on the market right now, and it deserves a high rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I think this TV is perfect. Supremely clear picture, great motion, and decent sound. I think the HDR is great and I don’t miss Dolby Vision. I also have an A95L and have to say things like Christmas lights in Christmas movies and similar light sources are “prettier” on the Sony, but overall I think the picture is more amazing on the Samsung. I think the best thing about it is the fact that you can use an app to calibrate it and the end result is amazing. I like the OS over the Sony also just because it is very fast and more responsive. It also has the perfect amount of brightness.

This TV was absolutely brilliant. The picture quality was top notch with amazing colors. As good as Mini-LED has gotten, OLED still is king. The combination of unparalled contrast with the amazing colors that Quantum Dot OLED has made possible with more than adequate (though not top level) brightness still rules the day as long as you have no more than moderate light levels. In very bright rooms the best Mini-LED TVs still still win out for most. However, I did return this TV. Not through any fault of its own, but because it was mistreated during its time as a demo and had some pretty severe burn in. So after my experience I recomend having them plug it in and check for burn in before leaving the store with it. Unfortunately, mine was already bubble wrapped when I went to pick it up and I didn't find out until I got it home and mounted on my wall. In the future I will have it unwrapped to test if considering an open box OLED. I used 3 Pixel Refresh sessions to reduce the burn in to minor, however, I still decided to return this and instead went with an open box QN900C that had no flaws that I could find.

The Samsung S95C is seriously awesome! The picture quality is mind-blowing – colors are vibrant, and the blacks are deep. It's like having a mini theater at home. The sleek design blends perfectly with my room, and the smart features make browsing through apps a breeze. Setting it up was a piece of cake, and the remote is user-friendly. Plus, it adjusts to the room's lighting, so no more glare. This TV has taken my entertainment to a whole new level.

Image: Generational advancement relative to my other screens (lg c1/Samsung q90). The clarity of the image is nothing short of miraculous; so much so that it skirts the boundary of soap opera effect (without crossing). The real standout though is the intensity/brightness/saturation of colors. I have never seen colors look this good on a television. Also, upscaling is good enough that cable can be watched again without my getting angry about how compressed and inferior my cable service is. Sound: I havent tried the built in speakers. Frankly, Samsung should delete them or offer a model without them, because using the television audio is a bit like driving a Ferrari with bicycle tires. OS: The new Tizen is fast, no doubt because of hardware upgrades. The organization structure is inferior to prior releases in my opinion. Your mileage may vary but Im not a fan. I dont hate it, I just dont like it. Gaming: Havent tried the 144 variable refresh since PS5 only goes to 120 but everything has been great. One irritant though is I cannot get my ps5 onto the same list as my other media sources. It is stuck in the gaming section of the OS (refer to lack of love for new Tizen OS above). One Connect: AKA the separate box you connect all inputs to. I have one on my old Samsung and am loving the sleeker design of the new one. It makes dealing with cabling super simple and so easy to avoid cable clutter and cables running up the wall. Final Thoughts: I realize I sound a bit (or a lot) like a fanboy but honestly, despite all the great attributes of the TV I thought about returning it and waiting for the SONY A95L because it is the same panel as the s95C but unlike the Samsung, supports Dolby Vision. For those who dont know, there are competing standards for the display of High Dynamic Range (HDR) content (content that has extra color/contrast/brightness). The supposed gold standard for the display of HDR content is Dolby Vision. After much research I have come to the conclusion that the basic HDR that is supported by all HDR capable televisions (HDR10) is actually superior or equivalent in most cases to Dolby Vision. In metered testing, Dolby Vision was shown to have less brightness in side/side measured comparisons vs. HDR10. So again, your mileage may vary but I feel using Dolby Vision as a purchasing criteria would be an error. Ultimately there are going to be 3 televisions this year that are top of the heap: this one, the LG g3, and the Sony A95L. I'm quite pleased I went with my Samsung :-)

Got this in early January of 2024. Picture is awesome, It's easy to use/setup. I've got it setup to use streaming services only, no satellite or cable. The software built into the TV allows all the streaming services you could want. Only issue is that it sometimes (maybe once every 7 to 14 days) it hangs or loses the sound output. Then I have to power cycle it (I hooked up a remote power on off switch so I don't have to go behind the TV to get to the plug). It comes back fine. That's the only reason I downgraded it to 4 stars. BTW, I have verified the software is the latest etc. One quirk is that the remote is so darn tiny, and black, that if you have dark furniture it's easy to "loose" in plain sight. Maybe I'll paint it pink or something..... ;-)

A beautiful television. I upgraded from a 10 year old plasma and this TV is beautiful. The image is phenomenal. The OS isn't sluggish in my opinion but I haven't used the likes of LG or Sony. I prefer to use a dedicated streaming box like the AppleTV over the build in applications in Tizen. The two big changes that I read to do out of the box was decrease the Clarify setting, blur and jidder, to 4 and 3 respectively. I've changed that to 2 and 3 for my tastes. A bit goofy but you have to turn on Signal Input Plus on most all relavent HDMI ports to get 4:2:2 to work. A bit odd to me that this isn't the default. I do wish it had Dolby Vision as a nice to have but I don't feel like I'm missing anythign when I watch content. There is a lot of HDR10+ content out there streaming wise. Not so much on 4K UHD Blurays though. The stream box is a bit odd, I think it would have been better to just make it part of the TV but I don't have an issues with it. I probably won't touch it again until I move.

OK, I was obsessed with finding the brightest OLED for my living room. South facing, with sliding glass doors. I read all review sites and then went to multiple BestBuy stores and this 77” S95C just blew me away. This TV replaced a several year old OLED, and the difference was literally night and day. Reflections are now a thing of the past, and the bright and brilliant picture is all I see. Paired with my Samsung Q950T soundbar and enabling Q Symphony I now have an incredible home theater.

This HAS to be the most beautiful tv out there bar none. The clarity and the colors just are unbelievable. You will not regret spending the money after comparatively shopping. I have been a loyal customer of Samsung TVs due to their exceptional quality, including previous models featuring Neo QLED (Mini LED) technology. This 2023 Samsung 77” S95C OLED, is their flagship model and continues to meet and exceed my expectations. In May 2024, I acquired this TV as an open-box floor model for $1,995. Despite its prior use, the unit was in pristine condition with no noticeable issues or concerns. Purchased from Bestbuy El Cajon in San Diego. Nothing but professional at this store. This TV is an excellent fit for our living room, which features two large windows (covered with curtains) that limit direct light exposure. Even with ambient light in the room, the S95C’s impressive brightness—reaching up to 1,000 nits—ensures a clear and vibrant viewing experience, making it an outstanding choice for OLED technology. Highly recommend OLED if looking for a flagship TV!

    S95C - Amazing Picture - Terrible Motion

    |

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

TV had major motion issues so I had it replaced. It took Best Buy 10 days to install the replacement. The 2nd tv picture is mind blowing after I calibrated it. The punch from QD oled vs LG W oled is night and day. The motion is absolutely terrible on this tv so maybe the first one didn’t have issues. No matter what I do with motion settings, it looks very blurry compared to my LG G2. It’s so bad I become nauseous. Samsungs OS is very sluggish and buggy. LGs new updated OS on my G2 is finally snappy and great. I wanted to like the tv because it’s sleek with the flush mounting to the wall. That color brightness and foreground clarity is amazing. I’m starting to think it’s an issue with QD oled panels because I see many reviews claiming Sony’s A95L has blurry motion. I know Sony is the king of motion processing on their previous W oleds. I have a 50% failure rate for my LG oleds, so I’m not sure what tv I’m trying next. I’ve seen reviews on the LG G4 having audio issues and that has always been an issue with my LG oleds. I think LG jacks up the eARC when they push out firmware updates because the audio issues will eventually go away.

This is the best experience of 2023 for a TV. Great picture - bright and still OLED. A lot of reviews about this and the G3 being neck and neck. I give the edge to the S95c - picture wise they are both great. But interface and ease with other devices - this wins every day. And I've worked with both. However, be careful that as of August 2023 - the mount that Samsung recommends for this TV - does not work for this. If you have a bright room - lots of natural light - this is the TV to get.

I purchase the Samsung S95C, and It is by far the best TV we have ever owned. expectations. The S95C and its addition of Quantum Dots to the OLED screen has made a TV that is Superior to LG and Sony that I had compared to the S95C. The color and the picture POPs and the detail, light, range of blacks and whites, and calibrated colors make this screen the best to watch.

      Hi MrNotNice,

Thank you for your review! It’s great to hear Samsung’s S95C TV is providing you with a great picture. With fine-tuned detail made possible by self-illuminating pixels, content leaps off the screen as your picture is optimized to make bright whites and the pure blacks crisp and clear. And with Quantum HDR OLED+, you’ll get incredibly rich contrast enabled by the powerful processor that dynamically tone maps every scene.

Unreal. I have a room with tons of light and you can watch this TV in the middle of the day no problem whatsoever. The anti-reflection and brightness make daytime watching just amazing. And the color and clarity of this TV is off the charts. You start to just stare at the images vs watching the show. The TV is pricey but it’s a powerhouse. OLED with no downside…
