This TV has an okay picture, but expected better at this price point. The ghosting effect was pretty annoying. I guess it's expected that a TV of this size is usually wall mounted, but for the few that keep it on the stand, it's awkward. The stand is shaped weird in itself. It's wider than seems necessary and it causes the TV to sit up strangely high. The TV actually had a defect pixel line at the bottom of the screen so it was ultimately returned.

So many issues with this 82” tv, when I watch any program (Cable or from any apps) the tv turns off and restart constantly .Greg squats came to and tried to fix to problem and replaced many parts in different occasions but the problem still ,i don’t know why they just replace the tv for another one???? Previously I brought the 65” Samsung for gaming and I never have any problem with, am thinking that have having Best Buy plan protection is not a great ideal after all ?

This is the first TV with the OLED technology (QLED) that I have purchased. The motion is good, sometimes on really busy scenes the motion appears to get pixelated, however after some setting adjustments it’s all but gone. The deep blacks are the best I have seen. The HDR really makes the color pop! I am rewatching movies to see what they really look like, amazing! My family and I agree that the picture has a 3D look, the depth and detail makes you feel like the actors are in the room, just awesome! For the price and the features you can’t go wrong... LG may be a slightly better picture, but for the price I don’t see the benefit. I am a little biased as I have always liked Samsung displays, but this one really impressed my family and friends!

I admit the 82 inch TV was more expensive than the now more common 65inch or 75 inch tvs but man it is worth going a bit larger if your living room can handle it. I opted for qled and not oled because of price and potential for burn in for oleds. This TV looks and works great. I always liked the vibrant colors of Samsung phones and it shows on their TV. I went to Q6fn from Sony XBR X750d which was good also due to android. Sony 82 inch was around $3000 and Q6fn cost me around $2300 display model. Thank you best buy and geek squad who installed it.

I had the 75" Samsung Q6F and it is an outstanding TV but I exchanged the 75" for an 82". Like the 75", the 82" provides an excellent picture right out of the box. With just a few changes to the Natural picture setting, the QLED provides deep, crisp color. I watch a lot of hockey and this Samsung has sharp edges with no motion blur. The picture quality is outstanding whether you're watching sports or a movie. The picture is vibrant even in a well-lit room. I cannot comment on the audio since I use a sound bar but recommend a sound bar for the full movie experience. As I wrote in my review of the 75" Q6F, I did a great deal of research about both Sony and Samsung, and I'm glad that I chose the Samsung Q6F. And one last piece of advice. When I purchased the 75", I was upgrading from a 70" but was disappointed that the 75" didn't seem bigger. In speaking with the sales associate, he told me that that is a common phenomenon; an increase of 5" will not seem that big. So, if you're looking for a "bigger" TV, bypass the next size and buy the size after that one. And don't be intimidated by the 82"; I have a medium/large living room and the 82" looks great!

We love everything about this T.V. The color, the picture quality, and the size suits our family's needs just well. Watching movies and playing video games on this T.V. has been a real treat for us, for it feels as if we are at the movies and/or inside of a video game. Great product. We would definitely recommend this product.

This TV is huge! We might have gotten a 75" if we had realize how big it actually is once you get it home, seems a little smaller in the store. Great picture, good sound quality- we set our sound on amplify so it is louder, but you can't adjust bass and treble in this mode. Wish it had picture in picture. The picture is crystal clear even though it is so big. Recommended.

Did a lot of research. Subscribed to consumer reports.. read comprehensive reviews on Rtings, and several other websites. Was set on a 75 or 85 inch Sony xbr 900. But really didn’t want to spend that much. I’m sure it’s worth it but for my needs felt unnecessary. The Q6F picture is outstanding. Colors are vibrant, blacks are deep black... not faded like my old LG.I haven’t noticed any ghosting or other picture issues. I looked at Best Buy’s website daily.. This went on clearance for 2k. Had over 700 reviews nearly all positive. For $2024 it seemed to be an unbeatable value. I’ve only had it for 2 days but I love it!! I had the feeling I would be disappointed with 75 inch. So glad I went with 82. I had geek squad deliver and mount. Wasn’t going to do it myself and risk dropping it! Geek Squad was fantastic. Friendly, professional and operate with integrity.. I tried to tip them and they politely declined. said they just wanted make sure they did the best job they could for me and that I was happy.. I would highly recommend this TV and geek squad.

I did a lot of research online and in the store before purchasing this TV. The new 2019 Samsung line are nice and you can see the difference in the picture quality when place side by side but it was enough to justify the cost, nor have I noticed anything but a great picture when mounted on my wall at home. The size was much better for my space as I am sitting about 15 - 18 from the TV and the 65" I had there now seem very small. The remote is small and has voice control, which works OK not great but I don't/haven't used it to much because I have Xfinity. The apps load super fast and it communicate with my Samsung phone for when using Smart things and Youtube which has been the only thing I have used it with. As for the sound quality I cant say, I have it connect to the stereo system. This thing is heavy (100 LBS) and largely awkward to mess around with. It require 2 people. My wife and I were able to mount it on the wall with out to much trouble, there is no way I would have been able to do it myself. All in all very happy with the TV.

Unfortunately, I have 65in LG OLED TV. That's why I cannot put 5 starts on this TV, though good tv, because I could compare them. Pros: - Entry level QLED, considering price tag and its 82in size, it is quite good TV - Very bright - Good and fast UI - Good uniformity even though its huge 82in size Cons: - SDR is quite bright too; meaning that when playing HDR, I cannot tell HDR is better than SDR. I checked several times that its media source is HDR. When I played it in LG OLED, I can tell overall picture quality is quite improved and the screen becomes impressive. But in this TV, HDR looks similar as in SDR. - Local dimming is not helping; actually bothering in some cases; especially in the dark scene with sub title, its brightness fluctuated depending on sub titles. Also I can feel that brightness changes when the ending credit is moving up with dark background at the end of the movie - Color depth is not impressive (though color volume is better than OLED) Before comparing this TV with my another OLED TV, I did not know what "color depth" means when some people mentioned it. But now I understand what they meant and why black in OLED is so important. I realized that this complete black in OLED makes all other colors rich, vivid, real and depth like 3D. I was watching a document in Netflix and a guy was on the interview with black background. I felt like he was talking straight to me face to face in LG OLED TV. However, same scene in this QLED looked blurry because of gray tone background color. Summary: I was considering either this 82in QLED or 77in C8 OLED for my new house. Finally I decided to go with this 82in QLED, because - within my budget (could go with 77in OLED, but I had to sacrifice other budget if I choose 77in OLED) - good compromise between price tag and its quality - wanted bigger screen - somewhat worried about OLED burn-in - already have one 65in OLED TV - mostly for weekend movie time for family; I would use this TV 5 to 6 hours for a week at most, but it might be too expensive for this short usage if I go with 77in C8 OLED Overall happy to have this; enjoyed movies with big screen + vivid colors. If you have limited budget but looking for a good & big TV, this is a good candidate.

I upgraded from a 65 to this one for home theater. The picture quality is top notch! I've had few samsungs and this was had been the best. The colors are vibrant. This thing is HEAVY! We mounted it above the fire place and lifting this thing is a work out for 2 people! It took awhile for the tv to read my devices and recognize them.

It's big, bright, beautiful, and BIG. GREAT PICTURE. We had an excellent sales person that was able to get the gorgeous demos playing on this TV to match higher end models. This picture was identical to a 65 inch higher end models Samsung that cost more. Without seeing the side by side demo I would have purchased a smaller TV and never knew that this TV is as awesome as it is. Now I wish more 4k material was easily accessible.

Samsung has never failed to make a great product. This particular model with its sheer size is, in a word, crazy. The only flaw is the speaker/sound but honestly they all are horrible so it isn't a deal breaker, just get a audio system/soundbar. (I would suggest a 7.1.4 that Samsung has as well to complete the package.) Have always wanted a large scale quality television that wouldn't need a second mortgage, and this one seems to fit the bill. If you ever want to experience that feeling of being a kid on Christmas morning again then hook up your game system and get gitty. 40 years old and my girlfriend just shakes her head and giggles at the sight of me playing/watching on this thing. Overall if you are thinking of a large television and have the room (this is a lot bigger when you get it home) then this is the one you are going to want.

I wanted to buy an 82" inch TV. I had to increase my budget but then I got QLED series with that little budget increase. So I opted for this.. Performance wise I like it so far. The colors and picture quality is so much better. When you upgrade from 55" to 82" you will ofcourse see the difference but for the price I got this at Best Buy was unbeatable. I already knew what I wanted since I had done my research but the best buy employee also helped me making the buying process smooth and explaining all about the tv.

    QLED Rules!

We had a 2015 75" Samsung UHD TV -- nothing bad to say about it. The '15 did not offer HDR (high dynamic range) but the HD and UHD picture seemed to leave very little to be desired. We saw the demo model of several larger (82" and 85") Samsung and Sony UHD TVs with HDR -- being of the opinion that bigger could be better, we looked at the Sony, but at the QLED price point the Sony, WAS bigger, but the picture wasn't up to the QLED's performance, especially with UHD HDR native content. Best Buy matched Amazon's price and a couple of days later, the new TV arrived, was set up and turned on (ready for it to be calibrated.) The QLED 82" UHD TV is significantly brighter and when watching UHD HDR native content is able to produce contrast so great the 2D picture almost presents itself as believable 3D. We drive the TV with a Sony UHD HDR DVD player (which we source a lot of UHD HDR streaming content from). The physical disc, I tell myself, is still "this much" better than the streaming content -- and I thought that really was the case until I fired up some 4K content (new) from both Amazon and NetFlix. If you're looking at the less expensive "Premium UHD TV" line from Samsung, you will not be displeased -- but for a relatively small amount more, you can graduate to the QLED experience. Best TV ever -- 82" screen size "rules."

The sound alone is better than my Samsung sound system. I ended up moving the sound system to another room since this TV didn’t need it. The picture quality is AMAZING! Yes it’s pricey but I’m not the type to get the latest and greatest every other year so I know this one will last me sometime. Especially since other TV company’s are barely catching up!
