I love the tv, however I bought an open box and was assured by the salesman that everything was in the box. After delivery I discovered that the remote was missing from the box. It took a few days but they did finally made it right by giving me a remote. The factory remote I don't like, it has no fast forward or rewind buttons or ABC buttons on it making it totally useless once you start an app like Netflix or Amazon. Voice commands are a joke also. I have a 50" Samsung that came with a good remote with all the buttons needed for using apps. I don't know why they think this new one is so special, the useless voice commands I guess.

We moved into a new home, and left behind a high definition projection system with a 100" screen, replacing it with the Samsung 82" QLED. The slight downsize in viewing size is worth it compared to picture quality and the ability to watch TV without darkening the room.

This Samsung Q6 is a fantastic TV. The colors are really vibrant and makes watching 4K movies awesome. We have this 82" in our media room and our family and friends love it. We highly recommend this television.

We purchased an open box of the 82" Samsung Q6F a couple of years ago as the discount was substantial enough to choose this over a new 75" Samsung Q60. The TV was impressive and still is, but regular use has highlighted certain weaknesses. HDR performance of this TV is not so great. Colors are good but the overall picture details and contrast are not so great when watching dimly lit scenes in movies or shows. It's hard to make out scene details sometimes. Perhaps because this TV has limited dimming zones? Screen glare is also a problem. Perhaps it's the location where the TV is mounted (across from a window) but during day time, screen glare can be off-putting, making it hard to see what you're watching. Perhaps it's because the TV is not bright enough to overcome the glare. Last, a stuck pixel appeared in the right upper-hand corner of the screen a few months after we purchased it. It appears as a green dot in dark scenes, but otherwise disappears or is not noticeable when that portion of the screen is light/bright. Overall, we're still happy and impressed with the TV, but not as much now after spending a while with it.

Stepped down from a 9 series to this 6 series for the bigger screen and am not disappointed. Picture quality is amazing for an 82” tv and although it isn’t quite as good as the 9 series, the extra size in the large room makes up for it. Very pleased with this purchase.

I've had this TV for about 6 months now and it has been nothing but amazing. Football season has never looked this good. Navigating the menu is super easy. Everyone that has come over has done nothing but compliment about this TV.

Watching the football game and feels like I'm on the field. Clean and crisp picture. Colors pop! We couldn't be happier with our purchase and so glad the geek squad mounted & installed. They did a fantastic job. A shout out to Joe & Sonny!

The tv has great color and sharp detail. The only thing is the remote was hard to figure out. To change input source is a four step process instead of just pushing a source button.

I recently purchased the 82" version of the Q6FN Samsung TV. The TV it was replacing was an around 3 year old Sony X850C. The Sony is a nice TV but I wanted something with much better HDR and also larger. I'll break down my review into a few sections for ease of reading. First, regarding setup. I was a little disappointed with the setup process. I had heard that the Samsung SmartThings app would make setup very easy. I thought it would scour my phone for login info for services like Netflix, Hulu, etc. thereby not requiring me to go through the setup process for each app. Perhaps I misunderstood the promises but, for me, it did not do this. I still had to go through and login to each app. Also, I had to try to connect the SmartThings apps multiple times. Once it stopped and disconnected me in the middle of setup requiring me to start over. To be clear, the setup process was not really any different than for any other TV I've had, just not as easy, simplified and intuitive as I had hoped. Second, HDR performance. The Sony TV this was to replace was not an HDR powerhouse. It had very mediocre brightness levels (I think around 300 nits), so HDR was not great. Colors are good but the brights don't pop. I have a older Samsung KS8000 in my bedroom that can get really bright, around 1,500 nits, so this was really my baseline. I was hoping to see the bight vivid colors as well as bright highlights like I do on that TV. Right away, during setup, I could tell I was going to be disappointed. I reserved judgment at this point, hoping that once the TV was displaying good 4K/HDR content it would shine. Again, I was disappointed. I could get the colors to pop pretty well but there was a constanst dimness over the TV. No matter what I did there was just no "pop." Vivid setting gave me the closest and best picture, but that made certain shows look overblown, so not something I could use full time. Review sites, like Rtings.com do show this TV as being dimmer, so I probably should not have been surprised, but I was. Third, picture quality. One of things that surprised me, aside from the 4K/HDR preformance, was the clarity of the picture. The Sony X850C and the Samsung KS9000 (both 55" TV's) had very good clarity, even with lower quality sources like cable. As mentioned above, straight 4K signals and 4K bluray discs looked good, but anything lower quality source than that looked blocky, like the upscaling wasn't working well. I bought this the Friday before the Super Bowl and, when watching the game on this TV and other shows, like Big Bang Theory, the quality of the picture was sub-par. It all seemed blocky and choppy. In the end, with the money spent on this TV (it has come down significantly since my initial purchase), I couldn't keep it. Disappointing 4k/HDR and blocky/choppy TV and sport performance are what killed it for me. Perhaps I just got a bad unit (so many other glowing reviews) or perhaps I just had very high expectations. Either way, I had to return it. I ended up trading up to the Q8FN (had to downsize to 75" vs 82" due to cost) but the picture quality is night and day different. Colors pop and HDR is amazing. Watching fire on How to Train Your Dragon 1&2 is amazing. The upscaling is also excellent. I have elsewhere that the bigger you get the less pixel density, and therefore the higher change for blocky images, so perhaps for 4K and 82" is just too big.

Upgraded from a 65” to the 82” and this TV looks great mounted. I’ve been getting many compliments. Content looks good on this tv. The sound of the TV surprised me as it was louder than I expected it to be. Xbox One X and PS4 Pro look amazing on this TV as well. Would recommend for any gamer.

This is the most amazing TV we’ve ever owned. The image quality is superb. The only thing I wish we would have done different is waited until now to buy it because now the TV costs way cheaper than what we paid.

I was looking to buy a 72 OLED TV but, the price was much higher than I wanted to spend. Then my wife and I spotted this 82 inch and we both just loved the clarity of the picture. There are picture viewing modes that can be picked, as is true of most TVs now. What made this feature stand out is the movie viewing mode which is so good that the GoT #3 was easily watched even though it was a very dark show. First time I enjoyed the movie mode of any prior TV we've owned including the 65 inch plasma TV that died after 10 years. If you have the room and the means, this TV is great. Our next purchase is to upgrade to 4K video player for an even better experience.

Love this big screen with sturdier stunning display and easy to use. Everything seems to synchronize so well with HDMI 2.2 to my audio system. Love it and planning to get another one.

This TV is a real show stopper. Everyone who comes to my apartment comments on the sheer size of the thing. I have 18 foot ceilings and a rather large living room so it does a great job filling in a large room. The picture is fantastic especially when viewing 4k content or HDR. Unlike my 2012 Samsung LED which has light bleed at all edges of the TV I notice none with this. When a scene is dark the tv looks truly black. Maybe OLEDs look better from LG but I cant imagine its substantial as this TV does a great job already. Paired with the Samsung 7.4.1 Atmos Soundbar this system is ready to put on a show for movie night.

This tv has completely changed the way I watch television. It has features that I didn’t even know I needed. It automactically adjusts the picture if it senses a glare!! Also, it’s huge.
