Despite all of the negative reviews and experience from owners of this Samsung TV model, I must be one of the blessed owners. I've had my TV for 2 months and extremely pleased. This is my 2nd Samsung TV with the 1st LED 75" model purchased in 2013 and it still performs to perfection. I decided to move it to another room and purchased this 83". Most of all the picture performance is exceptional. The 4K image on live broadcast is uncanny. The only con is the extremely small remote that doesn't illuminate which makes it easy to misplace.

Not that every unit off production line is flawless, but this tv wouldnt turn on after only 9 days. Geek Squad said might be main board, might be power supply. I had it plugged into a surge protector and my house never lost power....so odds of just happening to have just had the bad luck of a getting a bad unit is most likely. Fortunately I owned it for so few days that I'm getting it replaced no questions asked. But for a $3000 tv to do this and cause inconvenience is not why I spent this kind of cash and not enjoyable. While I did have it, picture, functionally, etc. was great. Let's hope new one that arrives tomorrow lasts much, much longer than 9 days.

I bought this tv open box, ended up having some issues and had to go through Samsung warranty. I wont rant about every single negative encounter involved, but lets say there were a LOT of senseless, inconvenient and negative happenings from samsung on this. Overall it took roughly 3-4 months of straight out arguing with them, having their repair team in and out of the house at inconvenient times they expect you to just be home ALL DAY to accomodate THEM rather than them accomodating YOU, incompetent agents mishandling the warranty ticket updates, and plenty more, and i finally have a replacement TV. That all being said this tv is WONDERFUL, the picture is extremely colorful and crisp, the UI is a little annoying sometimes but overall the TV itself is a solid 8.5/10 IF you never need samsung repair or warranty.

The Tv is great with really good quality picture. Problem is 3 days after buying it, it stopped working. Best buy exchanged it for me.
I have struggled with them to come back and unmount the broken one and mounting the new one. In some ways it was poor service from geek squad customer service teams. The actual techs are awesome though

Awesome upgrade from our 2019 premium competitor model which was great. A lot better when paired with system components such as receiver and 4kDisc player that supports 120hz outputs. Be sure your components are all 120hz output compatible to get max picture quality benefits. Looks great plug n play, but youre going to be blown away once you get all your components working at 120hz 4K. Then it really shines.

So far, so good. The picture is nearly 3D at times. The remote is tiny compared to other sets that I have had. It'll take some time to get used to. I wish it had a printed owner manual. Overall .. right fine device to replace my Stewart screen/projector ..

Great image but tv went out on day 60. Anytime a button on a remote for another devise is pressed it will automatically change inputs. This feature I did not like. Dealing with Samsung to get resolved was a pain and since I didn’t purchase an extended warranty the store could not help. Samsung told us they would call back in a week to put us on a schedule to send someone out.

I’m sorry to hear your SolarCell Remote is not working as expected. Please try these steps which may help resolve this:
1. Press and hold Return and Microphone buttons (diagonally up and to the right of Return). This will reset the remote. 2. Stand within 1 foot of the TV and press and hold Return and Play/Pause simultaneously for at least 5 seconds or until a message appears on your TV indicating that the remote is now connected
If you’re still experiencing issues with the remote, please also try the following:
- Unplug the TV for 30 seconds, and plug it back in. - Try moving closer to the TV and re-pairing. - Check to see if your remote is charged: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Available Remote Battery - Check for available firmware updates on your TV: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now

I bought this TV as an open box. There was a sticker on the back that said “Shelf Model” so it was a store display. There is not a scatch on it. There was no remote, but the store associate gave me a universal remote and it worked right out of the box. I bought an original remote on Amazon for $30. The picture on this TV is phenomenal. I bought the 5-year extended warranty so I don’t have to worry about any issues down the road. I would deffinately not hesitate to buy an open box item again. I got a great deal on this TV so it was deffinately worth it.

This is my first day with the 83” but have the same 77” model for several months now. Both are excellent in picture quality. The Geek Squad that setup my 83” went above and beyond to make sure everything worked and I was getting the channels I wanted. Really can’t say enough good things about the crew that setup my tv.

We love our TV but don't like that it listens to us. The picture is crystal clear. The only thing we don't like is that it "listens" to you, even when it's off. During a family discussion, someone in the room said the word, "suicide" as they were talking about a news story and the TV TURNED ON (it was off) and provided phone numbers and websites to help if we were considering suicide. That was a bit creepy.

The picture is OK. The upscaling is pretty bad on low quality content. It’s not incredibly bright. It’s an all right TV but not one that I would say is spectacular. Also, this is a different panel than the smaller sizes.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your S90D TV’s image quality. The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer your content is to 4K, the better the image will look on the screen.
Here are some tips to help improve the picture clarity: 1) HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing. 2) If you have an analog cable box or satellite box, upgrade to a digital cable box or satellite box. 3) Change the output resolution of your devices, such as digital broadcast receiver, IPTV, and set-top box to UHD or HD. 4) You can further adjust your sharpness, brightness, contrast, color, and more by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings 5) Choose a Picture Mode by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and choose from Dynamic, Movie, or Filmmaker Mode.

Great TV. This is our third Samsung television and it is a great tv as are the other two. We wanted a larger tv and this got the bill. The picture is very realistic. Color is spot on. Sound is great although we used our existing Samsung sound bar. We used Best Buy’s installation service which was awesome as usual. Timely installation and delivery. Don’t hesitate to purchase this tv. It is a great purchase and the price was right,

Couldn't be happier with my purchase. This TV meets or exceeds all our expectations. Movies - check, Gaming - check. On the gaming side, make sure you read and follow the connection guides and use a proper HDMI 2.1 cable to connect to your PC. I'm getting the full 120fps on a 4080 GPU and it's smooth like silk. I've abandoned gaming on my 35" Ultra-wide and didn't plan on going back. This is truly a video Swiss Army Knife.

My Samsung TV was an open box model listed as being in excellent condition. Brought it home and have been using it for about 2 weeks without any issues. The power cord and remote were attached to the back of the TV and I didn't need anything else to get it working.
