broken promise

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.waited 2 weeks to get geek squad to do install and set up, contracter came instead, didnt know what he was doing very well,he was in a hurry to get to next job,gave me little to no info on new tv,your salesmen changed next day install to 2 weeks later so i would get geek squad, "they do better ,sometimes contracter dont do that good a job" salesmen was correct too bad it was not followed through with geek install.sound not in sec with picture,can that be adjusted to correct it??

Not happy with my purchase.

They did not give me remote control. They gave me insignia tv remote. Later on i complain and they gave me different then original remote. I still didn’t have original remote. It was my first purchase of open box from best buy. Very disappointed. I don’t recommend to any one to buy open box from Best Buy.

Good TV but...

Thank you for purchasing the Q70A TV and sharing your thoughts regarding the image quality. The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer your content is to 4K, the better the image will look on the screen.
Here are some tips to help improve the picture clarity:
1) HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing.
2) If you have an analog cable box or satellite box, upgrade to a digital cable box or satellite box.
3) Change the output resolution of your devices, such as digital broadcast receiver, IPTV, and set-top box to UHD or HD.
4) You can further adjust your sharpness, brightness, contrast, color, and more by going to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings
5) Choose a Picture Mode by going to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and choose from Dynamic, Standard, Natural, Movie, or Filmmaker Mode.

Thank you for your review. Please know your Q70A TV has several Picture Modes to choose from allowing you to enjoy content in optimal conditions.
Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also go to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine tune your image.
Intelligent Mode enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Adaptive Picture, which is among the options, optimizes brightness and provides the best picture quality in real time, based on the lighting condition and your content.
The Q70A also features SpaceFit Sound to optimize sound tailored to your environment and Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) which further detects disturbances and enhances the on-screen voices for clear dialogue.
Go to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Turn the options on or off to meet your needs:
- Active Voice Amplifier is available only when the sound sensor of the TV is active and the sound output is set to TV Speaker, or a Samsung Soundbar interlinked with Adaptive Picture is connected.
- Adaptive Sound+ provides optimized sound quality by analyzing the viewing space and the acoustic components of the content
- Adaptive Volume Automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV.
Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode
You can also customize sound with Expert Settings.

Poor Quality

I was very disappointed when I went to connect the HDMI cable to the back of the tv and it would not fit. It did not fit in HDMI 1 or 2. It actually fit in HDMI 3 but I needed one more port. I went back to Best Buy the next day and explained what had happened. They were sympathetic and explained this is an existing issue with Samsung. They offered me an exchange for another Samsung, but I chose a much better 85" Sony instead. Love it!

Disappointed

Delivered broken(B/O Screen)

By the time it was delivered the tv was sold out(unavailable) and bestbuy refused to give the black Friday price on a different tv. Very disappointed with the experience.

Thank you for choosing Samsung's Q70A TV and for sharing your experience with your remote not working. If you press any key on the remote, and the LED indicator at the top of your remote stays on for about 3 seconds rather than blinking, please try the following steps to reset your remote:
1) Long press the RETURN key and ENTER key together for about 10 seconds if your remote was once paired already with the TV, you do not need to re-pair it again. However, if it was not paired with the TV, pairing must be done after the reset.
2) The RETURN key is on the left side of your remote and looks like a curved, backwards pointing arrow.
3) The ENTER key is the button in the center of your directional ring.
